Mom of 3 here …. IF you need a pump, it’s a great idea then the hospital has hospital grade pumps and the pumping kit you need for it. Good idea!!!!! To bring your custom fit flanges, but may change over your breastfeeding journey.
mom of 2 plus one on the way...I would recommend shower shoes! Chapstick, chapstick, chapstick lol, If I remember correctly the hospital provided us with lotion and soaps for the baby so I didn't need my own. I wouldn't recommend bringing the wipes the hospital typically gives you more than enough but I understand if it is a brand of wipes (that the hospital provides) you may not like. Oh, and one more thing BRING SNACKS! lol, this is a big one after I had my second one, I was starving and the hospital cafeteria was not open yet I had to eat their boxed lunches and that was not enough at all. Congratulations on your baby boy! P.S. I could be biased but boys are more fun lol!
From a brand new mom- just had my 1st baby on July 1st… BRING YOUR OWN TOWEL lol I had one packed and then removed it because I thought I was being extra… big regret.. the hospital linens were not comfy lol
I work for a hospital laundry. Our bath towels are SO SMALL! Definatly bring your own. Like, I legit thought they were hand towels at first. And due to the washing process; not very soft.
That's not really true... if your milk doesn't come in right away, pumping helps you get your supply in. I had milk with my first right away as well, so it's definitely possible.
not true at all! you only make a little at first but it’s exactly what your baby needs. definitely misinformation! i don’t want any mamas thinking they won’t be able to feed their baby until they get home. bring the pump. they’ll teach you how to use it. put the baby on your breast. they need it and you need it for the supply!
Probably most important don’t forget two blankets- one for you and one for your husband. Those hospital blankets are not cozy and you and he will get cold.
My #1 tip for breastfeeding is to use your colostrum as nipple butter! Just kind of rub it in and let it dry after you are done feeding. It was a life saver in the beginning!! ❤
Lipbalm is my most needed thing for every Hospital stay. I do not know why but every time my lips are so dry if I am in Hospital. And one thing nodody told my my feet went very big after giving birth due to water so " normal seize" shoes or slipper do not fit. So my Tipp, have a look that your Slippers are "strechy enough" to fit if you got big feet. All the best for the last step from Germany❤
Be prepared for your flange size to change over time when pumping/breast feeding. I ordered a set of flange inserts for my spectra off Amazon and it’s an amazing help for changing as your body changes
So exciting, just came across your channel! Will definitely be following along now. 🩷 Just finished packing my bag too. 😊 Having a little girl est. August 20th!
I had my baby 3 months ago and didnt even touch 90% of what I packed. I was so out of it during labor that i didn't even know where the suitcase was 🤣 I only stayed 1 night postpartum and barely used anything
Currently nursing my third baby 😀 I’m thinking the LC will tell you same thing as me: don’t pump until around 6-8 weeks if you’re exclusively breast feeding. You want to nurse as much as you can to regulate your supply and not create an oversupply. Ask your LCs at the hospital if they don’t bring up pumping to you. I am all for packing extras “just in case”. Especially with your first baby when you don’t really know what you may want/need. Wishing you all the best and can’t wait to continue following your journey along with baby boy$
We didn’t wash our baby until 10 days after birth the vernix is very good for their skin and no lotion needed, we also waited for the cord to fall off first ❤
I not a parent the adoption process is a lot different but with being a very proud uncle to 5 beautiful nieces & 5 nephews my sister in law used lotion then give the first bath in the hospital with her first as with her other 2 cause she knew how to bath them she just used lotion and then bathed them at home
Congrats to you and your family I haven't seen someone beautiful glowing when you with your baby bump what brand of diapers are you going to use Pampers or huggies or luvs wish you and your family happiness
Aw congrats! Just think, all his little organs are already developed and ready to go! Your baby is just packing on fat to get through the birth process now :)
Don’t forget to get a nipple shield it’s just easier for baby to latch on it get the nipple relaxed then you can latch him with out it if your milk don’t come in right away have someone bowl some pinto beans bring you the broth no salt add no beans just the broth with in 3 hours your milk will kick in
Mama to 2 beautiful little girls. Shower shoes for in the shower. Also what helped me was a heating pad. 10ft charger or a extension cord. Outlets are far away from the bed.
I wouldn’t bring a pump to hospital. I breastfeed as a new mom as well and I just nursed the whole time. Your milk does not come in until later. Your only have colostrum
So excited for you. Having a son is the sweetest experience in the world. 10 years in and he’s still so so sweet and my whole world!
My daughter was born 6 and a half weeks early, 33weeks 3 days
Congratulations I can't wait for ur little bundle of joy to arrive.

Bring a black towel 🤣 any other color will need to be thrown away 🙃

I loved having an eye mask to help block the light from all of the machines when I was trying to rest😃
As far as breastfeeding, your milk typically doesn't come in until you're already home so you most likely won't touch the pump while in the hospital.

Good morning Madison how are you happy Saturday morning to you and I enjoy your channel and im proud of you congratulations to you on the newborn
I love you Madison!!
They usually have the basic Huggies or pampers at hospital. If you like the nontoxic coterie wipes and diapers I’d bring your own!

I have a feeling your name for him is the same name I have for a boy! I don’t know 🤣
craving, what have you been eating
You didnt overpack but i wouldn't put lotion on him until about about a month!
