I'm a baker too. And what I love most about being a baker is the work hour. Start early and finish by 2pm and can still enjoy the rest of the day, and can still enjoy a sunlight instead of a moon.... if you know you know...😄
Two years ago I gave up my Baker job for an office job. Often times I miss those nice calm mornings when my mind wasn't being crushed with deadlines, impossible projects etc... I hope to get back to that nice humble life, but as an owner. It's a shame that hospitality jobs are, on the whole, quite underrated in terms of getting paid a liveable salary. The job is not for everyone and there are days when you have a shitload of work to do. But it is liberating. Specially artisanal baking.
Wow! What an interesting and intense daily life of working in a bakery! And love the pastries from small victory myself! ❤️❤️❤️ Always want to be a baker myself. A random question for you if you don’t mind, could you recommend few brands of home use oven that possibly yield the similar result to the commercial oven? Thanks!
First time I see one of your videos and I immediately recognized the place. I used to work there, but I never got along with a Korean pastry chef, which is not the same Asian I saw in this video. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 What I miss is the free leftover croissants.
I'm so surprised that most is it is pre made, I've been to Small Victory and I thought it was from scratch - premade has come along way! Certainly not Sysco I'm sure 😉 in curious where you get it from. It's been a few years since I was in the kitchen, this actually made me miss those early mornings! 👏
Hey can you do more videos related to your bakery please 🥺 like is it your full time job ? Don't you have to work the entire day ? Atleast that's what I learnt. How much does a baker earn and is it enough to live a good lifestyle in Canada ? And pros and cons of the job.
Bro can you make a detail video on topics like which college to join for pastry education in Canada , working hours and how much salary Is given to bakers n pastry chef in all over Canada or in ur place in Canada n everything around baker n pastry chef as profession , but all this in english it would be great help to aspiring Bakers/Chefs . This video was helpful for some extent .
i am a chef now but once in a while i sneak into the bakker part of the business and make something small as a snack and have a laugh with the bakkers there i might want to do a career switch from prep/sous chef to a bakker is it worth the effort ?

Most of our products are pre made and we just put decorations and finishing touch in the store :)
