Its kind of an amt like paddle shifter ki jagah gear stick it is not much usefull in practical you will fill small jerk on hand.
Sir what if somebody accidentally slots the car in 1st gear without pressing brake while the engine is running ?

Sir as per my experience of IMT if u want that butter smooth experience then u shouldn't accelerate while ur Shifting gears. Mileage is obviously more expected than automatic transmissions and gives 20% more mileage than manual. When it comes to maintenance as said by Hyundai dealer we can save the Cost of replacing clutch plates during service intervals.
This is actually a very good implementation of technology in a car. Feel and control of a manual with comfort of an automatic

Yes. Otherwise you will get little Jerk as it uses the same system for clutch used in AMT except gear change mechanism.
If you release the throttle while changing gears in AMT manual you also don't get any jerk or headnode. I am telling as i myself is using AMT.
Yes we need to let off the accelerator pedal while changing gears because when we depress the clutch the flywheel disconnects from the transmission so if we press clutch while changing gears it would be useless as the engine will start to rev up very high and burn more fuel....
I love manual and whenever I'll buy a car, I will buy manual transmission..... The thrill you get in manual you wont get it in any other variants..... And its so sad to see your channel not making it to 1 million😑

The real challenge of this type of technology is during uphill and downhill situations. Even parking in tight corners. I have such a tiny spot in my apartment that too on a steep patch. Please try reverse parking or moving forward on a windy uphill roads, ghats. So we can get a better idea

Hi,
I have purchased KIA Seltos HTK IMT Diesel, it was delivered 3 weeks back.
Existing IMT Users, Anyone faced issues with creep/crawl functionality in first gear in IMT gearbox,
when I am stuck at traffic signals, and roads has small slopes like 5 degrees or 10 degrees, then in first gear, the creep/crawl functionality does not work as expected, my car rolls backwards slightly and I have to manually press accelerator ASAP to avoid further rollback. On fully plain road, creep/crawl in first gear works without rollback, but feels underpowered. But if there is very very small slope like 5 to 10 degrees , crawl does not work as expected.
Same thing happens for reverse gear, if there is 5-10 degrees slope, car moves forward, and i have to press accelerator ASAP to avoid movement ahead.
FYI , in my opinion this is not Hill assist issue, hill assist feature working fine on steep slopes in hilly roads, mall ramps. The car holds for 2-3 seconds and enough time to move ahead without rollback.
Fuel efficiency between iMT and AMT vs Manual Transmission
I think fuel efficiency is same for IMT and manual
AMT is also fuel efficient I cmpared few manual with their Amt variants. The thing which I found amt cars(in manual mode) are little more fuel efficient cmpared to their manual variants

When you will shift AMT car into Manual mode, you can have the same feature.. Isn't IT? I drive my Brezza AMT the same way and the best part is I don't have to downshift from higher gear when car's speed slows down. AMT manages it all :). So long story short don't see any benefits in IMT to be honest.
because you are a dummy dumm, the best thing about manual isnt gear shifting but it is about having control of you car, if i want to overtake i can shift down get the best accelaration, amt or cvt does not provide that, this car gives the control of a manual without the headache of a clutch

Thank you Gagan. Honest and realistic review. So, Shifts are still mechanical ( H) and clutch is part of gear knob sensor ? You shift so you anticipate for shifts so you don't get irritated, absolutely, makes sense. Still kia' s idea of 3 pedals makes lot of sense , of they mimic it close enough to hydraulic clutch , like half clutch. You can have full manual type control, but with less effort

But compare to other channels like autocar, overdrive and powerdrift their videos are so much cinematic and ur videos are too much simple and good that shows every single detail of cars and I really love that.. @@aniketsutar9994 No, I dont think so because it is mostly for those who want to have manual feel when having no clutch. Enthusiast definitely go for manual because you decide which gear to be engaged as well as you decide what to do (clutch) when you want. ( if hope you agree :-) )

Kudos to Hyundai/KIA for this.
iMT or Clutchless Manual Transmission (CMT) makes best sence for Cars above 7.5-8 Lac Ex-showroom like Sub-Compact SUVs , Sub-Compact Sedans , Premium Hatchbacks for e.g. Altroz didn't get an AMT bcoz Tata Motors thaught AMT doesn't suit the Premium Appeal of Altroz, so CMT in Altroz would have been Perfect VFM solution in XT & XZ trims.

Bhai bas ek baat.. jaise AMT me drive mode pe dalte hi gaadi thoda aage badhne lagti hai.. to break daba ke rakhna padta hai in stop and go traffic. But normal MT me hum log cluch se control kar lete hai and baar baar 1st se neutral nhi jana padta.
Toh ab iMT me bhi AMT jaise break daba ke rakhna padega ya baar baar neutral me karna padega ? Ya phir iska clutch gaadi ko bina acceleration ke aage nahi badhayega?
