I was there that night, it was freezing cold and wet. It shows the character of Bruce that not only did he allow the show to go on but was willing to step out into the pouring rain to enhance the show for his fans. He is over seventy years old and rich enough not to bother with such an ordeal but this simple act of going out into the cold and drenching rain shows the ultimate commitment to his fans. This is rock and roll it is this that will remain in the fans minds. Somewhere within that audience there would be a young child who is attending a rock concert for the first time and something in their mind will click and they will think " wow that's great I want to do that" and so the torch of rock and roll is passed on to the next generation. Well done Bruce for a great night and a great performance.
Thanks for posting this. Great compilation. I had a similar seat to yours at Murrayfield last year. Decided this time to get a bit closer. Ended up on front barrier just off centre stage, and o can confirm that it was very wet down there with a couple of inches of water on the front stage. But despite, or perhaps because, of the weather this is probably the best Soringsteen gig I have been at.
We was there, not far from you by the looks of it. Absolutely amazing 3 hours of quality. The conditions must have been horrendous for the band at times but you wouldn't have known
Superb mate. Second visit for Bruce down from Brum. TBH 2012 doesn't really stand out but Wednesday was an unforgettable experience. Shout out to Dun Cow, Ship Isis and Museum Vaults great boozers for pre show drinks and conversation. Lots of love for Tony Mowbray up there and the Blues fans too and some sage advice for my team and what to expect now we're hurtling back into Division Three. Shout out to the lads and lasses from the Mean Eyed Cat pub (hope you made it back safely) who I had a blast with on the Metro too and the good bartenders in The Strawberry and Bodega pubs back there
Great footage and thanks for uploading it - what a fantastic night, Bruce and the band had some horrendous weather to deal with but pulled out all the stops. Also a terrific advert for our fair city, even if I did have to reassure visitors that it was sunny in Sunderland now and again!
I was there and it was pretty special. I'm about 40 Bruce gigs in, and this one was one of the more memorable ones. Bruce obviously had a cold and he was losing his voice as the concert went on. He rallied a bit on the quiet numbers, but he ran out of puff on the loud ones. Nevertheless, he and the band gave 100% and through sheer force of will, they delivered a great experience.
Hopefully, the rains will have stopped by the time Bruce reaches Wembley on 27 July! Rain seems be the default setting for the UK these days. Well done to those who attended this concert!!
You're all lucky people! I love Bruce, and the fact he came to my local city! I didn't go because of certain disabilities affecting me. I don't ever go to any gigs tbh 😂
It's not like the band were protected from the rain - you could see the raindrops on Bruce's Telecaster! Perfect from the off - Bruce's opener was Waiting On A Sunny Day! ❤️🎸🤓
This is the best compilation vid from any show from 23 or 24. Awesome and you had perfect seats. Good view of the stage and the screens. This could be an advertisement for the tour. Crowd was a bit damp though...oh well
Thanks very much ! It was an amazing night.. all the more impressive cos it was so wet.. how the Boss & the band gave so much energy & passion to a very very wet night.. we’ll never know! They are simply amazing ! :)
Looks to be a great concert despite the weather. The audience looks cold and wet, so it’s no surprise that they are less enthusiastic about raising their hands and letting the rain run down their sleeves, and who can blame them. They were in good voice , however and that must have helped Bruce. Well done, Sunderland. Thanks for the post.❤❤❤❤❤
Thanks! It was such a memorable & amazing gig.. ironically made all the more so by the terrible weather! Bruce & band seemed determined to reward our very wet commitment, by putting on the show of their lives! :)
What other band could lift a gloomy rainy night they are fantastic and how well and physically fit does Bruce look touring suits him looks no where near his age I think there's 35 more gig's on this tour and it wouldn't surprise me if they tour Australia again ,😊
This must have been one of the most challenging gigs for them to perform due to the horrendous weather conditions. They pulled it out of the bag however. True professionals. Well done all !
I was there, 4th time I've seen him now, twice at Sunderland. Not sure if he changed the songs due to the weather but I got the impression that he is putting everything into this tour as he will unlikely do such a big tour again. Have tickets for Wembley hoping for drier weather
Excellent compilation! Any chance you got the whole big board of Darlington County? We were in the pit next to the girl who had the Bruce Rubber Duckie he stopped to pose with. So fun - would be great to see a clip of that if you had it. Glad we all enjoyed the special night!
makes me cry as i should have been there ticketmaster kept my 250.00 its not the money it was a special date .. anniversary of my daughters dads passing aged 34 & i was gonnie let of a cpl of balloons in tams memory once the boss started to sing the river . tam introduced the boss music to me .. his fav being the river 😭
I think it holds around 48,000 for a gig! It was an amazing night. Horrendous rain.. but Bruce & the band ignored the rain & got totally involved.. ! They started with Waitin’ On A Sunny Day.. the perfect opener for such a wet & cold night. We were all a bit damp.. but our hearts were warm by the end of the night. Both Boss & band were awesome!

40 years I've waited to see him
He did not disappoint
The English sunshine was conspicuous but what the heck, he was fantastic
Seen him over 20 times this was brilliant
Badlands was epic
It was fantastic. The band were amazing! And The Boss was at his best.. on fire! 🔥
My 20th show, just amazing as always, next stop for me Milan, maybe better weather, warmer rain!

What an amazing night. The River and Racing In The Street back to back was epic
Yes.. you’re right. Back to back Racing & River.. simply amazing! :)
Cracking night once I ditched my completely restricted seat on the side and ended up near here. Great vid 👍.

The perfect opener .. even the violin was saturated.. they played on regardless.. just amazing! The best live band of all time! 👏

Still life in The Boss & his band.. he’s looking stronger as the tour continues! :)
Looking slimmer as well had a bit off a belly when he kicked off tour gone now but his voice a bit croaky I believe he has a cold and the 3 hour gigs,
He was croaky in Belfast as well. He said he had a bit of a cold but on 4th night in Dublin his voice was as good as ever.
I was there, superb night 👍
What a gig! :)
Pure magic!
It was wet, but it was amazing as ever.
Over 3hours of perfection
He was amazingly incredible.
There last night, mind blowing 💪🎸
28 track show, what's that all about.

I saw him at Sheffield United's ground in the eighties best live band in the world
After Queen

When there is no derby for years, Bruce is probably the only way to attract Geordies to Sunderland.
he's cancelled a lot of shows since this one. Marsailles crowd was sent home . Hope he is okay.

What is the capacity of this stadium? Looks huge!! Audience & Bruce totally locked into each other. Great video!!!!
It's the stadium of light in Sunderland UK. Capacity around 45,000 and there are thousands on the pitch too
Thx. He looked really happy. Trust you had a wonderful time!!!!

Fantastic
❤
Not a fan but he certainly gave value for money at his concerts. I heard he'd do over 3hour gigs. Seems a cool guy also. Bless you and takecare
thank you! did you record more?
Thanks.. sorry.. no more footage! What a gig.. what a night! :)
What’s the song after the shalala song?
Racing in the Streets.
Wharra turn
Wow nobody there …
"NEWCASTLE....IT'S GREAT TO BE HERE TONIGHT IN YOURE GREAT CITY " 😂
Hahaha.. ! The Boss.. obviously didn’t focus on Geography at school ! 😂
Why entirely make something up?
This didn't happen, grow up.
I was there and only heard Sunderland!
Poor audio quality
Recording on a phone? Pretty damn fine for that I reckon. Bless you though and takecare.
