Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band. A very wet night at The Stadium Of Light in Sunderland, UK. Played for 3 hours from 7:40pm to 10:40pm. A brilliant gig! Bruce & the band were simply amazing.. started with Waitin’ On A Sunny Day.. an ironic perfect opener.. & went on from there.. they nailed every song! 👏3 perfect hours of amazing music from the Greatest Band of All Time !

I was the bloke right next to the front whose head is sticking up lol.
Amazing!
I love that you captured the people's faces
I was at the front of stage there, Pete. Incredible night😊
Thank you Beloved🙏perfect 🙏✨🙏😀💛😀
Wonderful
Me too, with 3 friends in our 60s. Magical concert, wonderful musicianship. Thanks for capturing some of the magic x
Almost came from the US… almost in my 70s
So cool!
I was here with my mum, it was so amazing!
I was there too - third row from the front… what a magical and emotional experience. And the warmest vibe from the audience too - a lot of love in that room ❤
I enjoy you guys enjoying it. Amazing hiw people think he's souless and sterile.
i was there too! it was so magical. Thanks for capturing this.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Me too. Thanks for this.
I was there! Thanks for uploading, what a night
thanks for adding a fantastic recording this is 1st time ive been able to watching it 💝
makes me cry as i should have been there ticketmaster kept my 250.00 its not the money it was a special date .. anniversary of my daughters dads passing aged 34 & i was gonnie let of a cpl of balloons in tams memory once the boss started to sing the river . tam introduced the boss music to me .. his fav being the river 😭
Aged seventeen and a YTS trainee at the time - converted at Mission England aged fourteen, so a Christian just three years.
I would have been thirty when this came out. St Michael Le Belfrey I know about from reading David Watson's books and discovering the congregation too.
Hopefully, the rains will have stopped by the time Bruce reaches Wembley on 27 July! Rain seems be the default setting for the UK these days. Well done to those who attended this concert!!
Me quedan pocos días para volver a verlo, espero escuchar canciones viejas, que para mí son las mejores, aunque su último disco me gusta mucho ❤❤❤❤
Thanks for posting this. Great compilation. I had a similar seat to yours at Murrayfield last year. Decided this time to get a bit closer. Ended up on front barrier just off centre stage, and o can confirm that it was very wet down there with a couple of inches of water on the front stage. But despite, or perhaps because, of the weather this is probably the best Soringsteen gig I have been at.
Not a fan but he certainly gave value for money at his concerts. I heard he'd do over 3hour gigs. Seems a cool guy also. Bless you and takecare
It was a brilliant night regardless of the weather
he's cancelled a lot of shows since this one. Marsailles crowd was sent home . Hope he is okay.
I saw him at Sheffield United's ground in the eighties best live band in the world
After Queen
It was wet, but it was amazing as ever.
Poor audio quality
Recording on a phone? Pretty damn fine for that I reckon. Bless you though and takecare.
40 years I've waited to see him He did not disappoint The English sunshine was conspicuous but what the heck, he was fantastic
What a legend Bruce Springsteen is what a brilliant night 😂
Great footage and thanks for uploading it - what a fantastic night, Bruce and the band had some horrendous weather to deal with but pulled out all the stops. Also a terrific advert for our fair city, even if I did have to reassure visitors that it was sunny in Sunderland now and again!
I was there and it was pretty special. I'm about 40 Bruce gigs in, and this one was one of the more memorable ones. Bruce obviously had a cold and he was losing his voice as the concert went on. He rallied a bit on the quiet numbers, but he ran out of puff on the loud ones. Nevertheless, he and the band gave 100% and through sheer force of will, they delivered a great experience.
Excellent compilation! Any chance you got the whole big board of Darlington County? We were in the pit next to the girl who had the Bruce Rubber Duckie he stopped to pose with. So fun - would be great to see a clip of that if you had it. Glad we all enjoyed the special night!
I was there that night, it was freezing cold and wet. It shows the character of Bruce that not only did he allow the show to go on but was willing to step out into the pouring rain to enhance the show for his fans. He is over seventy years old and rich enough not to bother with such an ordeal but this simple act of going out into the cold and drenching rain shows the ultimate commitment to his fans. This is rock and roll it is this that will remain in the fans minds. Somewhere within that audience there would be a young child who is attending a rock concert for the first time and something in their mind will click and they will think " wow that's great I want to do that" and so the torch of rock and roll is passed on to the next generation. Well done Bruce for a great night and a great performance.
Absolutely right 👍👍👍
Wonderful video of a very special night. Even saw myself on the big screen! Thank you for sharing Pete.
You're all lucky people! I love Bruce, and the fact he came to my local city! I didn't go because of certain disabilities affecting me. I don't ever go to any gigs tbh 😂
This guy can't even for f, ck sake 👎🫣😱
Are There Any Roomies That Are Going To See Bruce Springsteen in Sunderland on 22nd May As I Need Advice Thank You Unfortunately i didnt get to the boss saffi & e street band i love . I got a Platanum Ticket to be closer seated nearer to the stage i hadnt mentioned i was disabledd but not in a wheelchair. As there only was disabled in a wheelchair Someone i thought was a friend who lived in my home town saw my post online i couldnt get to sunderland that the band skipped out scotland I gets a message by this lovely friend took me to his a few weeks befoe the gig on the 3rd day i was driven back to scotland I offered fuel ect . I offered £100.00 & this lovely person took the money This person only is an 1hr drive to the stadium so i basically had a hurl for £100.00 & he took it from me then drives me bk to scotland plus it was the person who told me go get yer ticket now as they knew i was a big bruce n e street band fan I did it then 3 days i was back home .ot the same bull I continued to email ticketmaster whom i got thanks for contacting us we will reasure u we will before the concert day . i continued with ticketmaster due to being disabled it wasnt marked down as u really only get wheelchair users on their site .. previously i kept calling the stadium to get sorry nobody here to take ur call due to covid omg finally the day before the gig i got a security guy at the stadium on the phone i asked my ? he said reasured me he went off to find out about my ? he never returned my call . I booked a coach which have left me in a bus station till 5am next morn I contacted them for over a week n got nobody available to take ur call due to covid omg My coach was £26 return but i would have been sitting at a bus station till 5am next morn to get back home . Finally ticketmaster said i should av booked through the stadium which i was unaware of .. Day before gig i got through to security i asked my question ? he reassured me i will go find out for you & be straight back . he never did call . i tried to cancel the coach & i was offered £4 from £26 i left them with the £26 with them i had only a cpl of hours to get my ticket on gumtree & paid extra to have it at the top i heard from not a sole so that was my platinum ticket down the drain i even insured it ect its not the money its the fact i was finally getting to see the band on a day my daughters dad died on the 22nd aged 34 sadly of an anurism if bruce sang the river ide av no doubt fill the grounds with tears happy ones though last year in edinburgh on my birthday it was too previously i was at hampden park glasgow to see him I really didnt wabt to go check the concert as my hearts broken i was bounced from ticketmaster to the stadium only the day before the gig i kept getting replies we have ur e mail we promise to get back to u before the concery date the day before after numerous emails to ticketmaster i was told i should av booked through the stadium itself ticket master dont have many disabled bits other than wheelchair access they didnt have any other disability & i should av booked through the stadium but to get no return call was a disgrace so i was stuck missing my fav band who sure rock i saw them last year in edinburgh & that date was on my birthday i saw them at hampden park in glasgow boy i was devisted scotland was left out i was waiting for hampden or edinburg to be added then someone told me they were not doing scotland I saved to be there in tams memory as he introduced me to the boss & e street band he nearly wore out his vinyl as he played it every day . I didnt wannt to come hack to find the gig From what ive seen im heartbroken twice hampden was skipped then this one scotland got not one as if u look at other dates all around the world had 3/4 days to see the band to think last tour was in england . Don't know if ill ever see the boss again as after 2 years straight of touring he may retire or i may be ashes why leave scotland out scotland loves the band too it was a lot of money to lose but i was more hurt i didnt get to get there thanks t oricket master & the stadium oh yes i will come right back & call u he even took my name did he call no i had altered my top & an apron i have i says ide rather cook for bruce springsteen i added patches ect to it i feel the band should av posted they arent doing scotland I'm heartbroken as us scottish love the boss & e street band i bought saffi's albums & the guy that reminded me of a young paul simon i bought his music it must av been Clive Davis that sang on a fav of mine if i ever fall behind boy did he give goose bumps out . every band member have beautiful singing voices saffis is beautiful suppose that's life
It is 💯 brilliant. This is the second time I have seen The Boss play here at The Stadium, and he never disappoints.
Beautiful beautiful ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Absolutely amazing, best ever.
Wharra turn
Fab video by the way. A great snapshot of the ethos of the evening, and a lovely memory. Thank you .
Superb mate. Second visit for Bruce down from Brum. TBH 2012 doesn't really stand out but Wednesday was an unforgettable experience. Shout out to Dun Cow, Ship Isis and Museum Vaults great boozers for pre show drinks and conversation. Lots of love for Tony Mowbray up there and the Blues fans too and some sage advice for my team and what to expect now we're hurtling back into Division Three. Shout out to the lads and lasses from the Mean Eyed Cat pub (hope you made it back safely) who I had a blast with on the Metro too and the good bartenders in The Strawberry and Bodega pubs back there
Over 3hours of perfection
When there is no derby for years, Bruce is probably the only way to attract Geordies to Sunderland.
Wow nobody there …
He was amazingly incredible.
The End. Of America (;_;)
Ive loved bruce since iwas 15. Roll on Barcelona and now Wembley
It was wet and cold, british summer hey? But wow! What a msn and what a band
Main stream nutter? Bless 😃😉
This must have been one of the most challenging gigs for them to perform due to the horrendous weather conditions. They pulled it out of the bag however. True professionals. Well done all !
They were amazing! Totally nailed it! :)
Thanks for the upload was a great night apart from the rain.
Glad you enjoyed it!
It was amazing I was there. Such a great video I love seeing all the crowd 😊
What a show, last hour blew me away, loved Badlands really got the crowd going.
