So awesome to see Eric doing some deep cut tracks like this and Back Home. Hope he continues to do more. He brought back Pilgrim and River of Tears for the first time in 2 decades back in 2022. He seems to be in a Pilgrim mood recently I guess and I'm not complaining at all!
Pilgrim was a phenomenal album. It is incredibly underrated. In my opinion it is HIS BEST solo album. And. I don’t care if people don’t agree with that. The songs track by track were the strongest by far. If it had been less produced and used real drums it would have been 10/10
Great capture and thanks for sharing 👍 I said on another video how rare this is. It's a brilliant song and a welcome return after that one single time being played way back in 1998.
Thanks for sharing. Will be seeing Eric in September; so good to see him playing different songs from his career. Even though Pilgrim at times sounds a bit slick or over produced, Eric Clapton was in great form, singing and playing with great passion. The influence of Curtis Mayfield is evident throughout the record, one just needs to listen to Eric's falsetto vocal on Inside of me and Pilgrim to realize that this is a different Eric Clapton a record,. Guitar Highlights abound: From the cascading guitar solo of Pilgrim to the nasty tones of She's gone and One Chance it is clear that Clapton means business. His guitar work on Sick and Tired displays a much welcome nod to the Vaughan Brothers while showing Eric's impressive bag of blues guitar licks. Pilgrim is a much underrated record with great songs; many of them written by Eric himself: My father's eyes Circus River of Tears Broken Hearted Pilgrim Inside of me You were There (if I am not mistaken You were there was written about his break up with long time manager. Roger Forrester.)
I know how how Eric felt when he lost his Son! It breaks me into many worthless pieces, as I lost my youngest Son to fentanyl poisoning 03/23/22 ! My wife and I will never get over it!!! Andrew, we miss you so very badly and we need you back!!! See you again Son, Love Mom and Dad❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️🤧😪
❤❤ Eric is the greatest he writes sings and plays like no other his music will transcend time.
❤ Forever Fan❤

For me the best of all time. Thank you Eric for incorporating it into your repertoire. I love you a lot❤❤❤
This song is about Eric's manager Roger Forester I believe.
You are correct.
I am a very big fan of eric clapton. I seen him many times over the years. First time in 1968 at Madison Square garden with Cream !

Fabulous. I love Pilgrim but I can see how it feels overproduced when you see this beautiful stripped down version. ✌️
True!
It was for Roger Forrester…….👍💝
Yeah, Brokenhearted is a gorgeous song. Check out the stripped down version on the Concert for Monserrat. Fab.

Sublime...
Essa musica e linda tema de novela torre de babel e dificil encontrar ela legendada
How interesting!
Song was cut short during the first solo. I think they made a mistake.
On my version? I didn't realise. Maybe first night gremlins.
Yes. Only on this one. The drums started much too early.
There was supposed to be another verse before the drums.
