    Mr. Peoria VW man here....I was able to comment on this video, unlike the other one I mentioned in my email to you.
    I really like the Rambler! Don't sell it! I am subscribed.

    Ramblers are usually keepers. I’ve had 13 of them thru the years.
    You got the Ambassador there. That’s top of the line you know 👍

    Super cool car. these aren't very common but hellva lot of fun and unique. Not sure if u still own the car or not, but i'd say license plate floor patch, and DIY low budget interior cleanup. Make it Ratty cruiser.

    pvc will desolve i used exhaust pipe tubing and a coupler. has worked for 30 years. my 59 rambler only has 480,000 miles on it. is 130mph capable. with the automatic it gets 20 mpg. rubber suspicion parts are not available through parts houses. the is a company in Stevenville that has bushings made of kevlar that fit in the lower A frame. I've got one on mine and so far so good. mine is a 2 barel 327

    pvc will dissolve over time. I used exaust tubing bent to the shape of the old rubber hose. has worked in my 59 rambler for 40 years. my 327 has 490k mils on it.

    Nice job on the manual master cyl. conversion. I too have heard the stories about the Treadlevac units. Mines still working fine since 1974 when it was last rebuilt never a problem but could be the dot5 silicone fluid I've always used. Better lubricity and dosent attract moisture like regular fluid. Ps,that starter motor sure sounds familiar to me!

      @somewhatfast  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks gerald, it was just too expensive to buy a new one and i didnt want to risk rebuilding it and it failing from my bad rebuild lol.

    • @ramblerkid1
      @ramblerkid1 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You couldn't get a 6 cylinder in the ambassador at that time

    • @ramblerkid1
      @ramblerkid1 ปีที่แล้ว

      Actually you could get a push button automatic in the 6 cylinder rambler as well. I know someone that has one. I'm not sure if it was an option or automatically came with the auto trans. It may have something to do with the year as well

    Obviouly you haven't worked on any four wheel drum brake cars. The front drums are always pressed onto the hub. Its not like disc brakes with removable rotos

    • @geralderdek282
      @geralderdek282 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You have to have a real passion for old cars to successfully handle a job like that Ambassador Dan. I've seen cars way worse than that restored. The Ambassadors rarity makes it a special challenge. Folks who don't have that passion will probably never understand.
