@Jfauburn7 dudde...3 weeks ago, i played a summer league game in 96 degree weather with 82% humidity makin it feel like 115 degrees yet i could still take my faceoffs with a good fight
Paul or anyone...i have a question because its something i got caught for alot during the regular season this past year. im a faceoff guy and ive got great body size but when i tried to incorporate the step into my faceoff, i kept on gettin nailed for kickin the crosse adn sometimes steppin on teh crosse. i dont wanna lose that step in my faceoff cuz it does help me but im asking....What can i do so i dont keep gettin called for kickin the crosse??
@btownbeastman well i dont let them get around me or through me on the faceoffs too often and ive got speed to catch up so i understand that. the way i take faceoffs is if the guy and i are hot and on our game that night, il start to just stall so my wingmen are able to crash in to help supprot the ball
hey guys how do you get your pocket to be able to pick up GBs after facing off? my stick keeps the mold and the ball won't sink into the pocket after a faceoff. can anybody help please?
@lacrossemaster31 Move your foot a little bit behind you. Also, if you don't want him going for a fast break, force him to get the ball behind him. If you don't win always transition to defense as quick as possible. That can stop a fast break, and possibly a goal.
You have obviously never played lacrosse or seen anyone play lacrosse. What other successful ways do you know that's so outstandingly better than a clamp?
I dont like the over under grip, im a "backup faceoff guy" and i like this grip more, also maryland terps face guy Curtis Holmes uses double overhand and hes amazing
Not necessarily...maybe they are great face-off middies but you have other offensive players you want in. FOGO stands for face off, get off. You're just being ignorant.
+connorlax goalie I'm my team's faceoff spec, and I love it; it's an entire game in and of itself. However I also play offensive and defensive mid, some LSM, and attack, but I would be fine just being a FOGO on a team as well.
Faceoffs were so different 8 years ago holy shit

@21planbskater try Marc mesh which costs $30 but I think it is well with it. You can also try ninja mesh which is $10 cheaper.

The first drill wins the ball everytime

Dudes hand is all over the plastic
just practice chops(going over the ball and back) and just how you would face off normally
actually you need to be good at one handers, they happen a lot
Not necessarily...maybe they are great face-off middies but you have other offensive players you want in. FOGO stands for face off, get off. You're just being ignorant.
I do face-off's and your hand isn't supposed to be on the plastic but their hands were.
This is 2010 faceoff rules not 2013 or 2014
I count 5 drills....am I nuts?

Can someone explain to me how fogo is fun? Seems so boring in my opinion...
I guess everyone has different taste, but you don't really get to do much :/
+connorlax goalie I'm my team's faceoff spec, and I love it; it's an entire game in and of itself. However I also play offensive and defensive mid, some LSM, and attack, but I would be fine just being a FOGO on a team as well.
its a really important job
+JJ Hooles same
Being a fogo sucks but it's such an important job for the team that it's worth it and everyone loves a good fogo
