The Cummins Turbo Diesel Engine, is manufactured in Whitakers, NC. I started work there in 1993, the Plant was called “Consolidated Diesel Company”. I remained in that factory for 16 years. Until depression set in and I couldn’t take it any longer. So yeah those are some good Engines, I would buy one today❗
That thing is badass. I have seen you sold it but if I was to tow cars for local shops as well as myself and motorcycles. I what would be the disadvantage to this compared to a rollback? If I had a long winch controller I could sit in car steer and hit button. If I had a big wide ramp I could see doing wrecks as well? Thanks
People think that these words change the classification of their trucks !! It does NOT !! When the DOT stops them, They get FINED !! If you haul ANYTHING that you make ANY kind of money off of, IE- Racecar, Dealer car, Tow for someone, A classic that you buy then fix up and sell, ITS A COMMERCIAL VEHICLE !! And these "Not for Hire" words do NOTHING but draw attention to you !!.
I have a friend that is a DOT he loves seeing not for hire on trucks. That rite there gives him a reason to stop you and flex his muscles. He told me it’s best you just have nothing at all on the truck
I can tell you that the “Private Not For Hire” definitely doesn’t not work and I ended up selling this truck as I got tired of getting pulled over all the time... plus some things changed in my life and I needed a pickup more then a ramp truck that could only haul cars.... maybe one day in the future I will get another but at the moment it is just as easy hook up my trailer and go now that I have had lots of practice pulling the trailer... I did love the ramp truck and it is great if your just wanting to haul cars and that is it.
How many foot long is the bed and what is the distance from the back of the cab to the center of the rear axle?? Love this truck!!!

I'm curious about the private hauler not for hire on the side of your truck. If you're using it for your dealership, is that not commercial use?
