This is Jac’s Mom and I wanted to say thank you for listening to our sons story. His story is like so many others in our country. Over 100,000 people have died from Fentanyl poisoning and continue to die and our government has done next to nothing to alert the public of the dangers. We are living every parents worst nightmare and share with the world in the hopes that someone is listening.
It’s hard to get the whole story in a short time frame so I wanted to clarify a few things that weren’t in the video.
Jac’s ashes were found in a USPS warehouse in New York City close to 3 weeks after being lost. Jac always said he wanted to travel to New York. I can’t help but think his beautiful spirit had a hand in where he was found. His remains are safely at home.
In 2020 Oregon passed Measure110 which decriminalized the possession of small amounts of controlled substances such as heroin, methamphetamines, cocaine and includes fentanyl. Thus making it impossible for law enforcement to pursue a conviction in Jac’s death.

Thank you for sharing Jac's story and for everything you're doing to help being awareness to the dangers of taking just one pill from anyone. I pray you continue to heal and find joy in the memories you have of Jac. He would be proud of what you're doing to help others. Rest in paradise Jac.

Jacforever29 You are correct; the loss of a child is the greatest pain to endure and I'm sorry you had to go through this twice - no parent should have to bear that, but sadly you have had to do exactly that. It's obvious you loved your son and it sounds like he knew that. I totally get the NYC connection :) and no, that wouldn't surprise me either.

Some of our stories include fathers. The thing is, fathers grieve differently and are less likely to wish to share their pain openly. A father not included in one of our stories doesn't mean the father wasn't present in the loved one's life.

@@broeheemed32 that is not correct at all! So many of the moms say my husband or their father so don’t assume they’re fatherless! The way society has made it with boys and men is “it’s not ok to show emotions” so fathers grieve in silence due to this taboo. Even us who had fathers walk out on us don’t even blame them for our addiction problems unless they’re the abusers towards us! If you go back and watch stories from the start of this page especially the ones from 8/9 months ago you will hear and see this.

1 Fentanyl pill can easily kill a person that has a low tolerance. For an active user, that uses an average of 1-2g a day can cut the pill in half and do 1 half per 2 hours. Which is actually a lot cuz the pills are tiny. If you saw it in person it'd surprise you they're literally smaller than Tylenol.

We have to try to make kids understand, there is no such thing as a "safe" street drug. Even weed is being laced with fentanyl now. You really don't know what you're getting, it can literally kill you and the dealers only care about making money. They do not give a damn what happens to you. And it CAN happen to you. It's not always "somebody else". My heart breaks every time another of these stories appear.

It's not a parenting issue, I promise you that. I have terrific parents. They did a great job with us. They loved us, disciplined us and tried to guide us as best as they could. I still ended up abusing drugs. Thank you for sharing Jac's story. It's because of these stories that I no longer have any desire to EVER use again. That and because once I got clean, I realized how much life I had lost by being a doped sense of mind. Not caring enough about myself to care about what I was doing to the people who love me. @@darkwitch8648I had professor of psychiatry in med school. He grew up in horrible family and had worst childhood we can imagine. His father was violent drunk and alcoholic, who had beaten his children and wife almost every day. There wasn’t one day, when our professot wasn’t scared of going home from school. Many times his father threw family out of house in the middle of the night, even in snow, even of it was freezing. If their neighbours and other villagers didn’t let them sleep in their barns, they would freeze to death. Somehow, he was still an excellent student, who finished med school and became professor of psychiatry. Then, he was having class with us, listening to the alcoholics explaining him how their terrible parents and miserable childhood made them become alcoholics and do terrible things. In the end of ends, it’s not about parenting, but about genetics and about what we’ve done out of it.

It def can be a parenting issue. Psychology shows that pretty clearly. It can also be genetic. Ignoring that doesn't benefit anyone.
Anxiety disorders are directly related to not being taught how to deal with feelings at young ages, like toddler ages is where we should be teaching kids how to deal with emotions, grit and resilience. Parents can be amazing parents but when kids aren't taught these things they will end up with some sort of mental health issue. It's harder to learn as an adult, it's easier to take meds than to do therapy and learn tools.
No one is blaming parents for their children's deaths. But parents do have a heavy influence on their children. That doesn't make it their fault tho.

No parent raised, murders, addicts, rap#ist drug dealers, abusers, psychos, repeated offenders etc. We do our best, and as adults, a lot of them re-raised themselves. Once their out and on their own. As if they wasn't taught to be good ppl . And/or make good decisions. My heart goes out to any mother, sibling and family member. Whose been affected by fentanyl. @jacforever29 My heart breaks for you and your family and I can’t believe how brave you’ve been to share Jac’s story. As a mother of 3 grown children I thank you for getting Jac’s story out there for everyone to see and hear. I cannot imagine the heartbreak of losing one child, let alone both.
Last year in our county we had a 16 month old die from fentanyl poisoning because her parents and grandmother (!!) were all using and left it where she could get her hands on it. I pray that by sharing Jac’s story your heart will find just a bit of peace. 🙏🏻

Street drugs and addiction is a dangerous game. Fentynal just upped the ante. This info has been out there for awhile now. Street drugs can kill you period! And the end seller isn't making the drugs. You can convict that level all you want and the drug will still be out there.

    • @TexasPictures

Convictions at any level have only a marginal impact. As long as there is a demand, the drug will still be out there.

There are so many young families who don't have grandparents, that im sure you could adopt as your own. Plenty. Put it out there and find what you're looking for. God always provides. Ask and it is given. There is a reason for everything Blessings to everyone out there.

Ma’am, forgive that ignorant man who told you it was “bad parenting”, he doesn’t know you or your son or your family.
Unfortunately, people says their opinions about all kinds of things & it’s our freedom of speech right to say what we think, but sometimes we must have empathy, compassion towards others but many are not these days.
I am sorry for your loss but I say this, you did the most you could do for your son. Do not feel guilty about anything!
Your son, as you said, made a BAD CHOICE when he ordered those two pills from a drug dealer in social media. He never thought it would be laced with fentanyl!!!
I’m sharing these testimonies with family & friends but it’s up to each person to SAY NO TO DRUGS!
I pray God heals your heart from your loss but now it can be used to gain a life! To spare another death!
    God bless you ma’am!

This is a loving mother who is grieving her son. I would hope that we would all have more compassion and decency than the man who made that comment.
There is too much ignorance around drugs. This is not a druggie issue. This can happen to any young person. You can buy a joint that is laced with fentanyl. Instead of belittling other parents, educate yourself and the youth. It can happen to any of us.

I feel for this mom, I wish I can just hug her pain away 😢. Losing one child is difficult but she lost two. RIP to your children 🕊️
I agree with her, it’s a community issue. Yes, the deceased made a choice to take the drug but they didn’t choose to take fentanyl. Information and knowledge about laced drugs is key! Since watching these videos, I started educating my 6 year old about drugs and alcohol. She doesn’t fully grasp the importance or information, but she knows not to take any pills or open drinks from anyone who isn’t on the “safe list”. I also watched a few of these videos with her as well.

Bless you sweet lady. You're doing exactly what Jac would want you to do. Kids are cruel. People are cruel. People will say incredibly cruel things, placing judgement on someone they know nothing about. It's just ignorance and I'm happy you have that in perspective. Fentanyl is a community problem. If every community would come together and talk about the consequences of making a simple mistake, we could make a difference. Kids don't grasp the risks of one tiny pill. They are not druggies. Percocet and xanax are easily available in every community.

And yet again… I‘m sitting in front of my iPad, watching Jac‘s mother telling his and her story and I yet again had tears in my eyes 🥹
Don’t get me wrong, I don’t complain but I am a human being with feelings and emotions and more importantly: I am a father! My/Our two lovely sons are nearly 11 and 9, and the most painful, terrible, tragic and life-changing fear I have is losing one or both of my/our sons. Regardless of what would happen to them, I would die inside immediately.
I won‘t say that I can understand how Jac‘s mother is feeling cause this would be a lie. I can’t understand or relate how she‘s feeling.
But only by telling her and his story (and the tragically passing of Jac‘s sister to SIDS) she is doing such an important job and if her mantra is „Put it into perspective“, I‘ll take it, cause she cares about other lives. She wants Jac‘s story to have an impact, she wants that Jac‘s story will save one life and then it was worth telling his story!
This won’t bring Jac back, of course not. But if one mother or father has not to go through this painful road of losing a family member to Fentanyl Poisoning it is a start, a beginning.
For me as an European the US is sometimes hard to understand. One the one side the „land of the free“, the land of the“pure freedom“ and really many many beautiful places and many good things, but then on the other side News channels which are broadcasting car chases live on TV! Wait, what? Seriously?
A car chase in a movie is a good thing, cause it is a movie. But why on earth would I watch a car chase live on TV and probably two or more helicopters from other News channels above and reporting or commenting the car chase…
    I don’t get it.
What I would prefer to see on TV are documentaries like this „Fentanyl Kills series“, because these episodes can result in something good, cause one life can be saved… AT LEAST one life!
Why is this Fentanyl Crisis or Epidemic not in the News every single day? How many beautiful souls have to die till „a fight“ (in any form or kind) against Fentanyl and Fentanyl laced pills will start to grow and grow???
People like Glen and his team of „Texas Pictures Documentaries“ are so important and especially their work is so important. If I could I immediately would step in and pray that, for the beginning of the fight against Fentanyl, this channel would and should have more subscribers than Mr. Beast!
And then I would air one episode of this series every hour. Every day and every single week. Till something happens and more important till something changes!
The sad truth is: Yet again I have to say „Thank you“ to Jac‘s mother for stepping in and telling Jac‘s tragic story and a huge „THANK YOU“ to Glen and his team for making these episodes and give family members a platform to share their stories.
One final thought from my side: I would highly appreciate if doctors (in every country but especially in the US) would start to stop prescribing Xanax or other anxiety pills like it is the most normal thing in the world, like prescribing an Ibuprofen. Holy smokes! And yet again, please don’t get me wrong, anxiety is NOT a joke or should be taken lightly but prescribing Xanax immediately after seeing the slightest sign of anxiety… There must be another way of helping people with anxiety problems.
But: I‘m only a cameraman and video editor and sadly not a doctor…
@ Glen, Jac and Andrea: Thank you and with a heavy heart from Germany 🇩🇪, Philipp

Prayers for you and your family for the loss of your child.... My story of losing my Son to being medically induced with fentanyl is a different situation because unfortunately in 2013 was the first year of many deaths to this medication. My son should have never had this drug put in his body. My son was diagnosed to the age of 3yrs old with JRA (juvenile rheumatoid Arthritis) and at the age of 12 they discovered it was in his left lung and his back. He suffered in pain every day and caught many phenomena illnesses over his 31yrs of life. But at the age of 31 I no longer got to bring him home because of being medically induced with this drug. I did my research and found out that anyone with lung conditions or asthma was not a qualified candidate for this drug. I am completely devastated that the health care didn't do their homework and I feel as if the professionals would have done their job correctly my Son would still be with me. But as I look at it Thank God my Son is no longer in pain. I will see my Baby Boy again and I am here to support you and all the people that have lost a loved one to this horrible drug 😢 prayers 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼💯

My neck was broken and I ended up having 3 cervical fusions. I have serious arthritis as a result. And severe osteoporosis. The pain can be blinding. But your son had it in childhood, he lived it for a really long time . There are other ways of treating chronic pain. I also have asthma. I can't imagine how these doctors made such a terrible call.

You know. Everyone does the best they can with what they have. People are people regardless. To the guy who commented its a drug thing & poor parenting? Its his parents who did poor parenting, possibly. Or maybe just his ignorance. Whether it was or wasn't a "drug" thing, show some compassion. Think about what you're saying before you actually say it. Because doing drugs is a disease. Being an addict is a disease. Sure, we have choices. But sometimes, we don't. Nobody knows what's behind the drug addict. What their story is. What may have caused them to make "that" choice. Addiction has no boundaries. Neither do drug dealers. In the past, addicts didn't die from doing drugs. Unless it was an overdose. But now, they can die from whatever drug because the greedy murderers are lacing everything with fentynal. Hell, you don't even have to be an addict. You can be offered something from someone you know (a percocet, a zanex), someone you trust, thinking nothing of it at the time & end up dead because it was laced with or was pure fentynal. Call it what it is. Murder by poisoning. This mother & every other parent out there, did nothing wrong. It's the money hungry drug dealers & their money hungry suppliers making the choice to take others lives for THEIR benefit. With no consequences to boot. RIP Jac. And RIP to all the others lives that were TAKEN due to this epidemic. Maybe one day, some day, there'll be a solution. But even then, it'll be a little too late.

I feel two ways when I watch these, so much grief for the parents and families but so much anger for the addicts. This comes from watching my sister be a life-long addict and destroy our family and my parents. I know none of them WANT to die but their actions are selfish and show otherwise. I really feel like there is nothing we can all do. We have all tried with my sister but we can’t help her. Her two sons suffer, my parents suffer and the rest of us suffer watching all of their torment and pain. 😢
