Aloha just got my EDC27 UHi today and love the much needed updates. I have 3 pairs of shorts with burnt holes in the pockets lol. Not sure if you mentioned also that you can change the light output lumen, while the flashlight is off. Just in case the last you used it you had it in high mode, but now wanted in low mode to save your night vision or didn't want to wake your spouse in the bedroom, you can do that now without having to turn it on then step the brightness down. Love that! Great video by the way! Aloha
That does seem like a problem. The censor on these should definitely help to reduce the problem, plus the two stage buttons will help to reduce it too. They do have lock out options however I rarely use these. I think we all have the 'don't wake your partner' issue. I just wish Mrs Moorlander would have the same consideration when she's lumping around in the morning at full volume with the lights on 😄 thanks for watching
The buttons are great. You'll probably see I missed the half press or failed to click a full press a few times. When you play with as many torches as I do it's hard to get that muscle memory right. It's more human error on my part than buttons error :D
@@renexwing1546 I wouldn't call it a "problem" but a preference. There isn't much in the review space for the EDC27 UHI, but i've definitely seen it mentioned that the buttons are notably better on the EDC25 than they were on the original EDC27 (non UHI). So, I would venture to guess that the buttons have also been updated on the EDC27 UHI. I have the EDC25 and am happy with it. Frankly, it makes the EDC27uhi obsolete. The screen doesn't add anything useful (only cost). The only feature difference is the secondary button access to turbo/strobe. I never use blinky modes so I don't care about that. Sorry for rambling... I know most of that isn't relevant to your comment.
As this was a comparison I know it would a longer piece of content. content I think I mentioned in there about my EDC25 content and how the lights were the same 🤙
Hi, yes the buttons are both great. They have the same tactile feel to them. The also have the same dual stage on them too. The EDC25 uses rubbery buttons where as the EDC27 uses a metalic button. Other than that, they're identical. I hope that helps
That's a great question. I usually use their main site however they do have lots of trusted resellers. Where abouts in the world are you? I'll find you a link
No, I didn't include that bit. If you check my other review for the EDC25 you'll see how well they perform. There's very little difference between the two lights. I thought I'd miss that so the content didn't end up being too long 👍
I knew this would be a longer piece of content and mentioned in t it that the light emitters were the same and that I covered this in another piece of content. I have some more comparison content coming with Nitecore so I'll make sure to show footage of might being produced at night that's identical to each other. Feedback like this definitely always helps

Howz it braddah🤙🏽, I’m thinking on getting the 27 I have the 25 like that one too

How the buttons feel in both? I heard that edc27 got weaker button mechanics, hope they stealthfixed it with this updated version.

you don't have to believe everything you hear! I have two EDC27 and both have zero problems with the buttons
The official video from nitecore explains that they upgraded the buttons.

Will you be comparing EDC 33 with the slightly bigger EDC 35? I'd be curious to see that comparison. :)
Yes, I can sort that for you. Leave it with me
a flashlight review in the day time 🫠

Great Review. Do you know if the EDC27 UHi has the same color temperature of the LEDs at the EDC25? (Cooler)
On paper they're identical however their is a tiny difference
No mention about the buttons, does it feel the same?

Is the nitecore website that you share on your discription the official nitecore? All i find are infos. Could not find their store to buy

Which model is newer?
From my understanding they were both developed at the same time. The EDC25 was released first, closely followed by the EDC27 UHi
@ Do you feel like the 25 has more grip due to the satin anodized finish? It looks like it has more texture than the finish on the 27.
@SolarChronicle in all honesty, they're very similar. I'd say the EDC27 UHi takes the lead slightly. Anodised Alu is reasonably slippy
@@MoorlanderEDC I’ve placed an order for the 27 UHI. Thanks for the help my friend. Greetings from the U.S. 👋
@SolarChronicle any time my friend. Always happy to help 🤙
Nice review!!
Thank you. Glad you enjoyed the content
It would be noce to see bigger screen..there so tiny..
Did I miss the night shots?

2527 the year The Slapper Flasher returns. Cowabunga.!
It's all about the slapper flashers
Both great torches and very hard to choose, outakes crack me up ?😂
Peace out 🙂👍
Can't wait for you to use them... at night?
