Very good!

Somehow Thanos returned.
Agreed 😂😂

They are about to dbz the mcu with Golden Thanos
Hollywood has learned *NOTHING* !
If they bring him back, this has to become a meme.
P.S. I know it's already a meme from the SW sequels. What I'm saying is that people should put this text over a picture of the new Thanos if he returns.
And Thanos will be played by...
ROBERT DOWNEY JR!
Heh, probably. The issues they have made for themselves have nothing to do with the villain, but the fact that the best, most interesting characters were retired or pushed out for women. Captain America, Thor and Iron Man were well known in comic book fan circles, but not by a general audience. Until the Marvel films, and then RDJ, Hemsworth and Evans made such a good job of playing them they became massively popular and iconic over night almost. Anything without them just seems a bit flat and pointless now. RDJ as Iron Man was such fun, so charismatic and so interesting to watch as the character no one else could touch that level of quality or fan interest. I know when he left, I just knew there would be a huge void and so it became. I dont know what they can do now, other than recast those roles. Get the Hulk back in there, Iron Man, the real Captain America and Thor and have a blast with it all....People liked it, and will turn out for that. They are not going to get anywhere with Cheese Larson, Ms Marvel Monica Rambo or whatever she is supposed to be and Agatha etc...

The only thing worse than abusing time travel is abusing a multiverse for lazy writing purposes.
Sounds like a perfectly funny South Park episode to me. They already did it with Spielberg and Lucas abusing Indiana Jones but hey...
They brought back Gamora with it. But not Black Widow
I wonder if they'll have Thanos and deadpool fighting over death in the mcu. 😂

The more they retread old ground, the higher the likelihood they ruin old characters who were good in the past.

They already ruined Thanos in What If.
I believe this is actually the real goal. "You like Joker? We'll ruin Joker so you have to like our other things! You like Iron Man? We'll ruin Iron Man so you have to like our other things!"
They've actually been defacing Iron Man in comics for YEARS in this kind of vain attempt to boost unpopular garbage like Catpain Marvel.
Nah, you couldn't possibly ruin a beloved character like, idk....Luke Skywalker. Right?
Flogging a dead horse
In Airplane II there's a joke movie poster showing a little old man with boxing gloves starring in Rocky 38. That joke was from the 90s but is more relevant now than ever. Not just about Rocky but every other damn franchise. What was once parody is now reality.
That proves Hollywood has never been creative/original in any way. Internet just makes it more obvious
And the irony is it came true anyway for Rocky...Rocky 6, Rocky 7, Creed etc....
I mean, Rocky isn't exactly the best example of this, considering the fact that only one of nine Rocky/Creed movies is objectively bad.
@@AtariDad Yes that is true. I did enjoy all the Rocky films, the first three are all superb, the fourth one is fun 80s cold war , America is great and lets be pals with Russia romp, the fifth one is utter and total crap, and the number six is a great return, what 5 should have been and a fitting tribute and send off for all the characters. The Creed films are good and their own thing and also cover Rocky being the old mentor now...the whole set of Rocky movies are iconic slices of American life, history and of the times they were made. I cant think of many actors around now who had such an interesting role the wove its self so deeply into the publics conscience as Stallone in Rocky and Rambo. The MCU died when they killed off both Steve Rogers and Tony Stark.
It should have stopped after Infinity War, tbh.
I did not like Endgame.
💯💯
Guardians 3 was good.
At the very least an extended hiatus
Endgame is fan fiction. Thanos did actually win. I refuse to believe otherwise.
They are lightyears beyond desperate.
I agree, totally, completely and utterly. My favourite franchises now only exist in my box sets. When I get bored with touching grass I will have to look for new universes to enjoy.
When The Amazing Spider-Man came out in 2012, it featured a post credit scene where the Lizard is confronted by a mystery man regarding Peter's parents.
A few weeks later, the writers were asked by journalists who was the mystery man. They said "We don't know".
12 years later, that response perfectly sums up the MCU.
Apparently he was Gustav Fiers, aka The Gentleman. Part of an elite assassins group high in up the ranks that killed Peter's parents.
I would even say that the MCU ended not with Endgame, but with Infinity War. Infinity War put a lot of nuance into Thanos, as well as successfully juggling all of the heroes arcs in a cohesive story. Endgame was a shambles, Thanos just being a bad guy wanting to wreck everything now, the nonsense of how multiverses and time travel works, and too many winks and nods to the audience to get the seals clapping (America's Ass--urgh).
In the aftermath of Endgame, Disney decided they could push their political and social agenda on everyone, putting that ahead of building up another film arc. You had Scarlet Witch walking away without consequences after torturing a whole town for months. You had Falcon unable to secure a loan for his sister's boat business even though he's a veteran, test pilot, and an Avenger. Heck, just take a weekend out, buy some BBQ and invite some of your Avenger buddies to fix it up.
The MCU is rudderless without going to the wellspring of the epic storylines of the comics. We're back to the era of hit and miss superhero movies. And it's mostly misses because Hollywood doesn't care about the source or what makes them so compelling.
I couldn't agree with you more & still stupefied how Disney with all their unlimited access to Marvels' stories and roster instead tried to squeeze its feminist idealogy thru Captain/Ms Marvel/Agatha Harkness.
yep. that girl power scene made me gag hard. she drops a ship and spars with thanos solo, why the fk would she need help and wtf help were they actually? none. zero. a girl with hand blasters, girl with a plasma spear, girl that shrinks, girl on a horse, and girl in ironman armor shes never worn before that moment... and they just run into the crowd while Marvel flies over all of em. sooo much help that was. By the end of Scarlet Witch i knew they were gonna Fk up House of M and had that face like id just smelled bad cheese, was mindboggling how bad it nosedived. Half way through Falcon during the police scene i just cancelled my subscription. Last time i will give money to a company that openly hates me and promotes socialist and feminist nonsense. If everyone stops going, disney will go broke and have to sell off the IP. the sooner that happens, the sooner we get good super hero movies again, even sony wouldnt fk up this badly. Let hollywood go bankrupt for all i care, they seem to be perfectly happy with it as long as they can sht on our best examples of morality and heroism.. let em. Only one i felt bad not seeing wad Deadpool3 but id sooner pirate it and send 20 bucks to Ryan Reynolds than give disney anything. He put in so much work to make that series happen, just for disney to try and ruin that too and take a piece of what he earned. Makes me sad i wont get to share those things with my son but ill be damned if i let him be brainwashed into one of these woketards.
Endgame was flawed but satisfactory. At least they made sure to point out it wouldn't be like other predictable time travel stories. For the record, that joke was pretty funny
There isn't a worst combination of lazy AND talentless... They will try and fail.
💯💯💯
This is fan fiction at this point. And that an insult to some fan fictions.
It was lost much earlier when 'Black Panther' was a success. It put the idea in their head that pandering was better and easier than competent writing.
Probably a variant of Thanos just to get immediately killed by Doom just like in the comics Secret Wars series.
Exactly. Since Feige doesn't have a dozen movie lead-up to Secret Wars and Doomsday, the MCU will need to power-scale Doom quickly. Showing him wiping the floor with Thanos is the lazy cheat-code shortcut to that goal.
They already did that gag in What If with Infinity Ultron
@brendansheehy8124 Yeah and everyone loved it. Plus if they do this one, it will actually be a direct reference to the comics.
I came here to say that same thing. It’s the only thing that makes sense.
That sounds R€T∆RD€D
"Thanos could return to the MCU sooner than you think." I didn't even thought about that sh*t at all. Marvel is far from saved by bringing back a few characters. They messed with the whole World building and the story. Now it's total dogsh*t. That Robert Downey Jr. is coming back to collect another Paycheck left me cold as a river.
The MCU was always hit and miss, IMO. Even when it was good.
For every Winter Soldier there was an Iron Man 3.

In it’s hayday, MCU weakest movie was better than your average movie that time.

@davehilling3944 Yeah agree. I was im my early 20s when the first new book trilogy dropped in 1991. Being a big SW fan I gulped it up because it was new SW content. There were comics too. It was a great time for SW readers and many books were written over two decades. There was even a comic series named Dark Empire that has Palpals coming back but it was short lived.
Great times if you were a reader like I was. Then Disney happened.

Ain’t that right, Disney?
I will say, though, the James Bond franchise hit a resurgence in 1995 with "GoldenEye", and then again in 2006 with "Casino Royale".
That is to a certain extent subjective though. Even though I agree with you, I've seen people that are fans of the post Craig era, and they really do not like what he / the team did with Bond.
Personally Casino Royale is my favorite Bond movie, but everything after that was only down hill and not really worth watching more than once.
@@casperryborg4869 Sorry, I loved Javier Bardem in _Skyfall._ It has some logical fallacy problems but I do like that movie.
But James Bond was always being reinvented. From Connery to Moore and so on. The only problem is that the politics has infected the culture far too much for them to be able to do it again.
But I compare MCU Phases 1-3 as akin to a trilogy like Star Wars. Even if it were a different time in history, you are never going to recapture that lightning in a bottle again.
True. I think the reason it works with Bond is that each movie is largely not related to the others, until the most recent ones. Bond wasn't originally meant to have a story arc: it's was a simple action piece pitting a dashing, handsome, sophisticated gentleman spy going up against the bad guy who had some freakish plan to destroy the world. If you never saw a Bond film up until GoldenEye, you could still get the gist of everything quickly without needing to go back and watch the older ones. If they had a bad one (and they did have several!), they could just move past it without having a lot of leftover baggage to deal with.
goldeneye got me into bond... the chair scene ended that. knew then they wanted to cut bonds balls off, man i called that one
Almost sounds like when they brought Palpatine back to garner interest, and look at how that went!
At this point, failure and desperation is all that Marvel/Disney have.
"More of the Same!"
That's NOT entertainment!
Or at least, it shouldn't be.
I was just talking with my wife about this. If I was Bob Iger I would literally shut down every studio and upcoming project for six months to a year and start from scratch. Hire writers, animators, actors who believe in the old Disney ways. A complete fresh start to the company.
Desperate Dismal Disney is DOA.
You have summed up what I have said before, all of these movie franchises have run their course, it is time for new characters and stories (and not necessarily superheroes). You cannot get blood out of a turnip.
They have 60 years worth of comic book material to reference and they spit on it. I'd like to say it will get better, but now the comic books are written by fools to pity.
The MCU needs to end at this point. They need to take a long hiatus and hard reboot with no ties nor carry overs from the MCU we’ve had since 2008.
Accurate, and sad. Hollywood is no longer able to tell good stories because they cannot differentiate between good stories and political narratives. So they have no choice but to try and rehash what worked in the past. They can't even manage that because they have to update old classics for modern audiences. Just sad. My pile of old movies on DVD keeps growing.
MCU ended with Infinity War. The last Spider-Man and Guardians of the Galaxy were good footnotes to the series.
SOMEHOW PALPATINE RETURNED!!!
(...and now, Star Wars is saved...oh, wait! What???)
All this multiverse stuff is weak, Disney Plus level writing. Disney is where creative companies go to die.
The multiverse literally only exists because it's a vehicle they can strap to what's established to force their agenda into everyone's face. It's never been about the money. It's only about the agenda. Anyone telling you it's about the money either doesn't understand what's happening or is very dishonest.
I disagree. I don't think it worked with Wolverine in Deadpool 3. I didn't need to see him come back after such a good sendoff, and i didn't need to see him in his yellow suit. That movie was mud. Only carried by fan service and cameos.
Heroes through Endgame. Activists after.
80 years of comics 0 inspiration for movies. WTF!!!
Who’s been messing up the MCU
It was Disney all along!
And I killed Star Wars too!
Why don’t they understand we don’t want a rehash, we want a good story.
You can recapture lightning in a bottle but you have to remove ALL THE ACTIVISTS FROM YOUR COMPANY and HIRE GOOD WRITERS, DIRECTORS, PRODUCERS, this is the start of making good movies .... again!
dei mandates are in the industry
They never learn... literally never learn...
For me, the beginning of end of the MCU was Loki’s continuous return followed by the studio’s plan to somehow turn the megalomaniacal mass murderer into a likeable antihero.
Yep, that was definitely one of the reasons 👍🏾.
When I said that the MCU would grow stagnant after Avengers Endgame everyone said I was crazy.
Look where we are now.
I've been saying this for years. They should make a Thanos origin movie on Titan. From a child growing up there, etc.
How many successful movies did they make to buildup to Infinity War? Disney has 2 or 3 successful movies since and thinks it's time for another Infinity War level movie? Nah, I'll pass.
Shows how much the showrunners identify with villainy:
People aren't watching and they don't even consider maybe bringing back heroism. No, let's just bring back the popular villain, or the popular actor as a villain.
I couldn't care less about the M-she-U.
You can keep a franchise going, IF you keep making quality content. Which the west is completely incapable of these days.
I hope they find the most diverse female ever to write and direct the story.
Into the Spider-verse dealt with the variant issue by requiring multiverse travelers to wear a special bracelet that allows them to stay in said universe. Time Trax also had a solution for the branching timeline problem by having time travelers travel to the past of an alternate timeline and when they travel back to the future (their present) they come back to the prime timeline. Bringing back old characters in one form or another just cheapens said character('s) death (if they had one).

At this point, why not just re-release the original movies in the theaters?
Risk aversion is as much a death blow to a film studio as creative bankruptcy. Disney is suffering both and just keeps adding salt to the wound.
I haven’t paid Disney Marvel a single penny since Infinity Wars.
That’s unlikely to change if they continue down this route. Same with Peter Jackson’s ‘Gollum’ movie.

Well if they would simply capture and imprison some of their villains, instead of executing everyone of them, then they wouldn't need to push the lazy multiverse button.
Oh please, there are still a lot of great villains they can use without bringing the previous ones back: Galactus, Knull, Mephisto, Dormammu, Onslaught, Kang, Annihilus, Apocalypse, Mr Sinister, Mojo, Nightmare, Black Winter, the one below all...
Most of these galactic nemises are too dangerous to imprison, unless you enlist somerting like (cross-can, IK, it's just an easy example) The Phantom Zone. It worked great for Superman II andSupergirl to _introduce_ characters, why isn't there a bounded plot device to _reintroduce_ them?

@@Dargonhuman Ya learn something new every day (if you pay attention).
Just looking at it conceptually, the problem I have with the SHIELD prison is that it makes the Negative Zone a less secure form of isolation. The whole point of The Phantom Zone was that prisoners could be sent there without the need for any supervision or confinement, like Great Britain marooning prisoners on Australia. Or Rurapentae in Star Trek.
They ( Hollywood) Need to stop thinking of fiction as a mass-producible product. A good narrative must have a definitive and conclusive ending.

Dr Who could decanonize everything since Capaldi and make a new 13th. In ten years nobody would remember Whitaker or Gatwa.
When they killed Superman and then brought him back in attempt to reboot the character, they just angered the fanbase which ultimately contributed to the comic book crash of the mid 90’s. It wasn’t until Sony’s Spider-Man films that the industry began to revive. I suspect we’re in the “crash” phase of the comic book movie industry.
And I think this has somethign to do with that experimental internet gas
I was hoping that Warlock hadn't been a child, could have held the Infinity Gauntlet which could have lead to the Infinity Crusade saga.
This is a new low, even for Disney
Doesn't this also just basically sum up the entire problem with the comic books industry as a whole they have a really great story and good send us for characters and then they don't know what they're doing and just kind of language for a few years so then they bring back a dead character. It's the same exact problem Comics have had for decades
