Bryans vocals, since everyone seems to be talking about them, is part of what makes Knocked Loose so great to me. They wouldn't sound nearly as interesting or intense without his shrieked, yelped, hardcore shout style.
It makes it feel more raw. Dude is up there throwing his all into his performance, pretty much up there inciting a riot. At least he’s able to pull his performance off live unlike quite a few bands out there today lmao
I get that ppl dislike the vocals, but i fucking love it. Idk why exactly but for me it adds aggression and fits the instrumentals perfectly. Wouldn't be the same with standard deathcore/hardcore vocals. The rhythm and feel changes from their writing is next level for this kind of music, imho.
@@Randybobandy024 Yeah, as someone who never liked the edgelord grunts and squeals in modern metal I much prefer the punk vocal ethos of just being genuinely angry.
Bryan is a s tier vocalist💪. I don`t give a shit what anyone says. Such an unique way to scream. Haters need to realize that. Not every Metallic Hardcore vocalist should sound like the "tough guy"🤷♂
i dont disagree that its a unique scream for Hardcore. And im sure it takes some time to develop it so you dont end up killing your future. But he just sounds like a pissed off Mickey Mouse to me. 1:28
0:47 like how calm and almost innocent Bryan looks. I'm pretty sure all of the band members are super nice and friendly, and that's why I enjoy their angry/pissed-off performances even more!
I'm from near Louisville, their hometown. I've never heard anything bad about any of them personally, and Isaac is still active in our local scene with his band Two Witnesses. Just saw them last month on the 12th and I'm gonna see 'em again next week. I found out about them way late so I didn't really get to see them grow, so just seeing them on stage with KL and then casually see him playing and attending shows is just so cool, as a fan.
I was part of the crew on stage filming them and part of the interviewing team who work for the festival - I can tell you right now the band do not feel like they deserve any of the recognition they have and they just love what they do. Genuinely looked like they were just regular festival attendees backstage.
I was an elitist schmuck for years ....this band I respect the fuck out outta and can never hate on - their work ethic being 1 and 2 ... they are real as fuck dudes
For everyone hating on the vocals, Knocked Loose have got so big the hipsters hate them now so they've well and truely made it. Bryan has a lot of fans out there that love the energy he brings.
I'd honestly never listened to these guys, assuming them to be some teenage angst appealing band, however I overheard them whilst working on the Lemmy Bar last year. Obsessed ever since, they go hard 🤙
He’s actually a really great lyricist. His vocals might need some getting used to for the newer generations but if you go back to the hardcore days, this band reminds me of a modern, darker version of Earth Crisis. I love the A tuning with old and new school collaboration. There’s no one else like knocked loose and I think that’s what I like about them so much. They stand out from most other bands…like them or not they are definitely one of a kind
Bryan sounds like the dude from a band called warriors but I agree with you. I prefer this over Lorna shore style vocals. That style is so over done now.
New to this band. I think they have a promising future. They are unique. I actually like bryns vocals. I can see a lot of potential and ge even may expand his horizons with his vocals in the future. A lot of people talked shit about Limp Bizcut and they became a household name and we're so good live because the band as a whole unit was polarizing. I give this band a 10 out of 10 honestly. They are in their own lane. P.s. before I get (knocked loose) on my comment. The reference between Bryan and Fred durst was about the vocal range and how they sound. Fred has always had a crowd shitting on his vocals but the guy got down on heavy shit too lol.
Not familiar with Knocked Loose but they have a good sound. I can't understand a single word from the vocalist but he has an interesting sounding voice. He reminds me of high pitch erik from the howard stern show
I don't listen to much music that's more in that hardcore scene. But the riffs are great and it's an easy choice when you want to turn on something heavy. Ba ba booey to yall
Knocked Loose are definitely one of the best modern bands, especially in the hardcore scene, i’m sure anyone can admit, but Bryan’s vocals are DEFINITELY an acquired taste, fair play if you dig them, but definitely not for me
Not a fan of vocals must admit i prefer the growls but still a very impressive and even tho i say the vocals arent for me i will say it sounds so difficult live! I could never get my voice to his range! Im only use to growls
I have grown tired of metal. It was a good 33 yr run, but its all become so monotoned sounding. You'd think id enjoy this, but it just sounds like typical metal (perfectly adequate and good enough)..... with the addition of a an owl tearing a squirrel to pieces whilenit shrieks in agony over the final product.
I really like these guys. I am just bothered by the fact they only sing like half of the lyrics live. I can imagine the vocals/lyrics aren't really what people want from a hardcore concert, still kinda sad :/
This band would be amazing with a different lead singer. I'm sure he's loved in the hardcore scene, but this band is too good for his style. Guitars backup vocals were way better. Not saying they need low growl lead singer, but that highpitched fred durst fella is not doing it for me.

I came across them early 2023 and I still think he's kind of a mickey mouse sounding ass but I freaking love it, wouldn't change a thing.

indubitably.
