Appreciate the video! I have an HP Pavilion with the cpu you've upgraded to already and I'm thinking of upgrading it to something else. This takes some of the nerves off my first time doing this.
Great vid man. I have the same PC. I've only upgraded the RAM and SSD. Can you post a video about other possible performance upgrades? I don't know much about PCs. Thanks!
ooof, great vid but the hardware used for upgrades leaves a lot to be desired. Theres a very small real world difference between a 3500 and 3600 specially when it comes to gaming (if the mobo was more capable for overclocking through bios it would make more sense spending the money there but thats not the case with the tg01). That said the best cpu this mobo would take is a ryzen 7 3700 (which is not much of an upgrade either). I paired this system with a 2060 (you could go 2060 super/3060/4060 but i wanted to leave some psu overhead and i dint want to spend big bucks on the newer cards), 32gb of ram running at 3200(clocked with ryzen master), 2tb evo 970, noctua 92mm cooler, 2 120mm front fans (i drilled 2 120mm holes on the front to mount them) + 1 rear 90mm fan (u can probably leave the stock one and be fine). This would leave the system being barely cpu bound, at which point i would recommend saving for a new mobo, psu and cpu and moving into something more modern like a i5-12400F(150$) or the Ryzen 5 7600X(215$). Both of these chips have DDR4 and DDR5 mobos available, leaving you with a much better upgrade path depending on ur current budget.
Nice vid I know you made a vid about case swapping but I was wondering when you could make a vid about properly swapping cases? Like using a different motherboard and power supply. But love your videos.
First thank you very much for making these videos of the tg,0023. My PSU went out and I can't find anywhere or anyone that can print me in the right direction of how I can get another PSU or of it's even upgradable. Which I have seen you do it so could you please help out with some more of your wisdom please🤣
Thanks!! Either swap the case, power supply, and motherboard or order another psu off ebay. Pull the psu out then google search the part number. That will be the best way of finding it
Mine came with a Ryzen 5 5600. I'm about to just reuse it for another build. You're very limited to what you can upgrade with that tg01. No psu over 500w am4 socket board. Case is very small and can't swap it to another one without switching the motherboard. But it was an ok PC for older games I guess? I had a 3070 in mine " barely". But now have a 4070 super.. so I have to rebuild.
