I heard Powerman referred to recently as "an obscure metal group from the late 90's" and wished more people had heard their music. Most ppl I hear refer to them seem to do it as a joke and I die a little inside every time.
Tell those people to look around at society at the moment, and listen to the lyrics of this song. It's rather ahead of its time, and has philosophical depths. If they're competent in the least, they'll change their tune 👍😛😜
These guys came to Louisville and sounded even better live than on record. And the energy coming from this man tore the damn roof off. It was rad as hell.
Bogmire42 I'm ashamed and also surprised that I didn't know MTV stood for "Music TV" until after reading these comments... I guess it just goes to show how far MTV's fucked up over the years, huh?

But after all those years, I finally rediscovered this and I'm glad to know it wasn't just a dream! This song fucking kicks ass!
This song was very prophetic, seems more relevant than ever today. The social mediaplatforms distorting reality into people's lies of others and themselves.
Saw them in a dive bar cause the original venue tried to F them. Spyder told them to F off. So crammed into a little bar with a tiny stage and they put on an amazing show.
I personally love this style by Powerman 5000. While they don't consistently offer it each album, Tonight the Stars Revolt, Anyone for Doomsday, and Builders of the Future are very fun and in this style.
Anyone else think the covert art for Deus Ex 2 looks suspiciously like Spider? I know it's the least revered game in the franchise among most (I liked it), but the default Alex Denton looks insanely like this guy. I mean it was the early oughties and ridiculous iced tips were everywhere, but that and the jumpsuits really made me think of it.
I remember watching Serial Experiments Lain for the first time in 2005 and this was the first song that came to my head after it was over. Whenever I think back on the series, this song is always playing for me.
Relax, you're not old. I went and saw The Fixx this summer, and they put on an awesome show (all members late 50's early 60's)!! And...I also saw them in 1984, thirty two years ago when I was nineteen, so take it easy on this old thing!! Age is just a number when you take care of yourself.

Still remember seeing Primus in 1997 in Santa Cruz, CA. The two opening acts were unknowns by the name of Limp Bizkit and Powerman 5000 :) :)
