Thanks, Colin! I used to have them both, you are right, but 6 years ago I sold my Multiac Steel. The reason was that I never actually was 100% satisfied with how it sounded - it was always the matter of a big compromise. I loved how it might sound when playing sting by string, but hated when I strummed. Nothing helped - Aura or whatever - strumming was not the strong side of this guitar.
When recording I used a trick to split the Steel's signal into 2 lines - one for Fishman Aura 100% wet and another to DAW. There I matched the phase of these two mono tracks and that was more or less OK. But it was tricky to do it every time.
I don't know if Duet Steel (the one with a mic) would be an interesting solution - never tried it.
Those Nylon Multiacs are great. I also loved how Slim Nylon sounded, but the neck was too narrow for me to play nylon strings. If I had a choice at the time I bought my Nylon I would also try the thicker Multiac Nylon, not ACS.
And yes - Fishman Aura Spectrum is a very good option that make it sound so much more realistic!

I definitely understand the strumming feeling of the Steel, I'm used to play folk guitars and I fear loosing this impact with an electric guitar.
Nylon Multiacs seem to sound way better and realistic than steel ones.
I often play open tunings with steel to mimic sitar and oriental instruments, I'm afraid to lose this feeling with a nylon one...
Maybe I need to try them both and make my idea, maybe buy both but it's very expensive, for me, at once.

great playing. How come the piezo is not harsh ? I’m using 3sigma audio IR and the piezo is still harsh
I guess there might be a number of reasons, including string picking style. The strings height, action, eq of a particular guitar. And pedals of course. I've found a couple of presets in Aura Spectrum DI that sound great with this instrument... Always use them.
I truly appreciate your reply. Do you recommend the Aura for (multiac duet ambiance) or should I get something like fishman loudbox mini. My purpose is to get a decent sound for recording thru Piezo. Thank you
@@iobeid87 I'm not that big expert in Fishman devices, but this one works really great with my Godin (Nylon, #10 is one of the presets I use a lot + 2 similar presets I downloaded years ago - don't remember their names). I would recommend trying before buying if you can. If not that maybe some used items would be a good start.

@@MikhailMedvedev У меня практический есть все гитары твои и дальше больше, мне просто скучно стало жить, решил поиграть на гитарах. Я решил добавить себе новых эмоций, скачать я могу не только твой ролик. Мне не когда думать и подбирать, я просто занят другими делами, а это, как дорогое хобби. Пробовал новый boss sy - 1000? Я кстати накатил новый патч 1.09, получилась хорошая замена vg-99, на мулатике гранд концерт са звучит очень хорошо, если подмешать 12 струнку с SY -1000 фишман аура в фламенко стиле. Вторую гитару себе прикупил lgxt godin. Привет - значит на ты! Просто обидно было про скачать и обидно было про совет...Я умный!

@@MatichekTH-camand to me skin sounds better than nails. Music is art and beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I prefer the warmth of fingers played up by the neck, but that's just what I think is beautiful.
