Same here. I listened to the album this is on just yesterday, and I thought this track waa beautiful, and for some reason makes me nostalgic despite the fact that I wasnt 6 when it released. I would expect such a pretty song to have an equally pretty video, but no, weirdest thing I've watched in years.
I’ve loved receiving music videos for this whole album so far, they just give each song so much more character and connection! They’ve made me fall in love with this album all that much more ❤️
I actually felt a lot of connection with the little purple guy. I worked my ass off and sacrificed a lot to get my engineering degree, but after two years in the field, I'm seriously needing a change. I may be the purple guy jumping off the cliff into the unknown and hopefully I find something better. I'd take a pay cut if it means I can be that much happier.
I'm 52. I was a metal fan in the 80s, moving onto thrash, hardcore, punk grunge and industrial, before falling for rave and techno in early 90s. Now I'm into all sorts. 60s, psychedelia, funk, soul, rhythm and blues, blues, hip hop, world, folk, kraut, exotica, lounge and probably more. I've been a DJ and producer for 30 years. KGLW are the greatest band to emerge in my lifetime. It's not even a subjective thing. It just is so. Wooo.
I'm pretty sure they've done more than just tried acid at this point. I mean look at the dude they picked to do the animation, probably was tripping for at least part of the process of making this.
It's like I fell asleep dreaming about that time when I was 10 years old and was sleeping, dreaming about 2022 when my future self was sleeping, dreaming about my past self, all the while the Alan Parsons Project Video "don't answer me" was playing on MTV in the background and I was out of school with the chicken pox, and couldn't sleep....Damn what a trippy video. I think I got a contact high.
shivers & goosebumps omigawd face melting! good on the Gizz! what an album what a year I have never once doubted that despite being able to create music that transcends genres they would always always still be THE Gizz. Love forever. I am going to happy weep mosh next time I get to see them live... they mean so much to me as a band... from Oddments to Sketches to Butterfly :') just thank you King Gizz for being authentic.
The music itself gives me Super Mario Kart vibes. This album is my first experience with King Gizzard and oh my god, I can't help but keep repeating it over and over and over again and it just gets better every time.
I felt that. Inspiring to know when something doesn't feel right and the only way to escape is taking a leap/ chance. Now that anomaly is free to fly anywhere 🙌🙌
Wow! Never thought the vids would be as good as songs but really every vid has been 🔥 in its own way. Love this band and this a really interesting album.
We are the Active Participants in Our Reality. It is the biggest Wave into the Unknown. Know Thyself this time. Lovers unite in the Trinity. It is going to be quite novel this time around. We all deserve our Play.
@@lfh1973 Maybe so, but I like their recent albums a lot more than the earlier ones, which seem to be fussy and unfocussed. The songs are better on Polygondwanaland and Gumboot Soup than in the period up to Sketches of Brunswick East, and I would put Butterfly 3000 amongst my favourite albums. It's bound to happen with a band so prodigous and talented that they explore territory their long time fans don't like so much. But often the band hones its craft and brings in a new, different audience (of which I'm probably part).

Oh man..I've been there. Ate this hybrid chocolate bar and 40 minutes later, I'm fucking Spider-Man crawling against the walls. Good times!
This is the last time I go halvies with Stu
My prediction? It’s gonna be a lot of fun.
its coming up Beach Boys.
How did you post this before it was released?
North Royalton comments are enabled on a video before its premiere.
Water signage? Never read it (how pathetic).

I have to say, I'm usually not weirded out by weird shit but this might be too much even for me. That's impressive.
This is weak shit, are you serious?
My thoughts exactly.

This vid looks like it exists in the universe of Xavier Renegade Angel
The fact that someone committed this vision to film... God I love this band.
When they're all finished they should release them all on a DVD or Blu Ray.
This aged well
This aged very well.

You can't tell me stu hasn't taken DMT
DMT is God. Greetings from Minsk
I would love to talk to them about that, I know they tried acid but DMT is just a guest
DMT took Stu.
I'm pretty sure they've done more than just tried acid at this point. I mean look at the dude they picked to do the animation, probably was tripping for at least part of the process of making this.

King Gizzard going full MGMT was not on my bingo card but I'm cool with it.
