Thank you for one of the greatest moment in music history! I could pay everything to live this. 7:04 N.Y. I personally think... This is how nas should perform on every stage... With the symphony... His music is classic.... It should portrayed in classical way on every stage with an ochestra
Almost cried?... I was in the building with actual tears streaming down my face. About to catch the 30th Anniversary on Sunday, 7/21 in VA at Wolf Trap and he's backed by the NSO again. ... DOPE!!!
It's so refreshing to hear an MC just rhyming clearly on his own, without some shitty hype man / entourage shouting and joining in over the end of each line.
Thebe Tech@ I'm down with u, you Nas fan u family to me' I'm in PTA, we need to push the culture forward... Greatest rapper ever. Delivery, sylabals, flow & content.
Nas is a musician,a trickster a rap composer who brokers his rhymes to bring the unearthly...down to earth in a grand fashion ez just incomparable....unequitable
If you haven't got any goosebumps listening to this! True Hip Hop isn't in yojr blood and soul. Felt it for each song especially for The World Is Yours! GOD DAM! NAS MADE IT!
This is just astonishing! I never expected illmatic could be improved, but this is actually fairly close... I am truly thankful for whomever "orchestrated" this. I hope they create more!
It was done by the guy on the drums - Tim Davies, the guy with the glasses on. He arranges and conducts for many films and leads his own jazz big band and has his own music that blends hip hop, rock and jazz. He also worked with Aloe Blacc and Kendrick Lamar.
Was this lyrically also one of nas' best performances on tape ever? Ive never heard him this crisp. Only misses a few rhymes, and god knows he did that shit a lot in his earlier live performances. Hes coming to europe this summer and Im seeing him for my only second time. Hope hes in this shape!
It's hard to express using words how good and outstanding this live performance is, damn I feel blessed what a great time to be alive, thanks nasty Nas and everyone who worked on this project, much love ❤️
Memory Lane is my fav joint. Second thing I have to say: read the lyrics to his songs! It takes a genius to even realize the imagination he had especially at that young age (17?) to think of all these lyrics....I don't even know what half the vocabulary means...not just the street vocabulary but all of it. Genius mf, and talented like a motha...big ups to you Nas
Can’t believe I’m mentioning this, but: shut up Lonzo(?) Ball. Watch this and be humbled. Stay in YOUR lane. Don’t talk shit and don’t talk SHIT about Nas. You represent nothing but bad manners, this man represents all of this.
If I ruled the world, I would have that in my living room, sit back on my lounge now just tell em to play all my favourite nas tracks.. Hip hop is a living organism now it's growing now gonna take over the planet..
Damn. Tear drop from my eye on last song......good old days :) Just memories with friends that are gone... Thank you from Slovakia! Wish he came here to do such a concert some day !
Rakim passed the torch to Nas, and ever since, has been the true King of New York. Not Jay, not Big... Nas. Always has been, always will be
When rakim passed the torcth
TRUE
Naah man, Big is the king, Nas is the prince, and Wu Tang are the humble knights
FACTS!!

This is epic its like reopening the illmatic tape back in 94

best feeling is to work your whole life in the symphony and finally gettin the Nas gig... hahaha
New York State of Mind...the illmatic anthem 🔥🙌
Rakim backed by an orchestra would really be Dope.
Damn! All rap should be played like this. Nas lifting the bar too high once again. Orchestra-rap is as of today a genre in music. 😎
thing is music doesnt need generes
He was pretty late to this kanye did this shit in 2006
100% agree. i think some other peoples lyrics won't survive this exposure.
It's so refreshing to hear an MC just rhyming clearly on his own, without some shitty hype man / entourage shouting and joining in over the end of each line.
It Was Written Next. That's such a classic album.
It Was Written is me favourite hip hop album and its what woke me up to Nas, i was too young when Illmatic came out and did not understand the lyrics.
The world is yours is a legit masterpiece, so haunting, makes me feels like im in the metropolis
The orchestra and nas dangerous assassins on the scene all but love from Kenya 🇰🇪to the GOAT 🐐 🔥🔥🔥🔥
From South Africa, mad respect to Nas!
Thebe Tech@ I'm down with u, you Nas fan u family to me' I'm in PTA, we need to push the culture forward... Greatest rapper ever. Delivery, sylabals, flow & content.

From Ghana 🇬🇭 n I personally think nas is the greatest to ever bless the mic 🎤
Lets go back... Rap was deamonized..this just solidified how far this genre has reached.. Im so glad as fan to be part of the history
Nas is a musician,a trickster a rap composer who brokers his rhymes to bring the unearthly...down to earth in a grand fashion ez just incomparable....unequitable
Wow, just wow, I was 17 when this dropped and I bought it on cassette ... I remember I played it to death as a kid in Scotland.
This version of It ain't hard to tell gave me goosebumps ...so iconic and out of this world . The violins and the flute are so magistral .
I've said it before and I'll say it again and again.... Illmatic is the Bible of Rap
Enjoying good music from Zambia one love. Love your music Nasir Jones, i named my son Nasir but my wife refused😂.
If you haven't got any goosebumps listening to this! True Hip Hop isn't in yojr blood and soul. Felt it for each song especially for The World Is Yours! GOD DAM! NAS MADE IT!

Thursday 9th September 2021 11:35 am GMT...Ghana Accra adenta ashiyie ...just lying in bed listening to NAS with an orchestra
watching this shit like i was there man, feeling this right here...shit can save your life
I am two years late but what the hell, I'd still re-watch it countless times even if I watched it two years ago.
This is just astonishing! I never expected illmatic could be improved, but this is actually fairly close... I am truly thankful for whomever "orchestrated" this. I hope they create more!

Thank god they made a symphony for this Prodigy...this is refining the classic to some distant perfection
coolest thing i've seen on youtube
Was this lyrically also one of nas' best performances on tape ever? Ive never heard him this crisp. Only misses a few rhymes, and god knows he did that shit a lot in his earlier live performances. Hes coming to europe this summer and Im seeing him for my only second time. Hope hes in this shape!
All the way from South Africa, Nas is the GOAT 🐐
I don’t even know how they dare to compare Jay-z to this guy.
Sofiene El Kebir two different artist, but hip hop is a competitive genre, so comparison is not inevitable
uh... they are very close, if u listen to Reasonable Doubt Jay-Z is definitely on Nas level
Pascal siakam Jay Z got entendres and introduced mafiaso lyricism so no it’s not “way ahead”
man the firm was the dopest shit ever no need to compare them
why not ? it is these comments... I am 100% you didnt even listen to JAY's discography... they are both great both top 3 DOA
Symphony Orchestra and Green Lantern killed it! They all sounded amazing.
I was in my element watching this concert.🤯 The orchestra absolutely killed " The World is Yours" 💥💥💥💥Come back to Birmingham UK brother Nas.👊👊👊👊
