The sound deadening worked well, a big difference from the stock to the first install, a slight improvement on the second.

I've done a lot of car sound systems in the purpose of the materials they use is to stop the metals and other things from rattling with your car sound system so I think car stereo stuff that's sticky and basically adhesive all over it with rubber properties to keep everything from rattling would actually work better myself but Haven't Haven't personally done yet but I'm going to try it and we'll let you guys know thanks this was helpful

I'd say that would work as well, aslo depends on how thick you get it. Best of luck!

Just a recommendation from someone who was looking for better floormats than offered by Polaris which are cheap plastic and slide all over. I have purchased 2 sets of Smartliner Floor mats, one for my Ranger 1000 and the second for my 2023 XP1000 Northstar. They are thick rubber mats and fit the floor perfectly edge to edge. They also sell a mat for the the cargo bed. Amazon has them and I can say unequivocally they are worth every penny. Make sure you order for an XP, because the 1000 SOHC is differant.

Great suggestion! I looked for floor mats for awhile and just could not find ones like you are describing.. Had I not cut these I sure would have ordered those! We have custom mats in both of our trucks and they are awesome. Thanks have a good weekend

like the videos, I also put sound deadening in certain areas but from the underside, racing heat and sound product. But the biggest improvement I did was install a Gilomen Fuel saver clutch kit. It reduces engine rpm by 500. It seem like a totally different machine and really cut trail noise along with higher speed noise. They have comparison videos on youtube. just my 2 cents.

Good idea glad it worked out for you. I'd love this machine to be quiet like a pick up truck! Not sure if I will go any further than this project though. Thanks

You should use that rubber flooring for your deer shacks lol. I could notice a difference in your machine with the 1st application, but not much different in the extra application.

Good call!! I actually was planning on doing just that!! Would be great to 'quiet' the drop when I drop my juice jug on the floor! lol

Weather Tek should partner with Polaris

No doubt! It would be a great fit! :0

I would say there is a noticeable difference after the first application. But I will also say I won’t be doing it to mine for that small improvement. JMO. It makes the interior of your new machine look like S.

eh, I'm not worried about the look of the floor, most of the time there is mud and dirt on it anyway. To each their own. To me, the slighest bit of more quiet that I can get the better. Thanks

Tin Snips work real well doing stuff like that.

Great idea! I probably could have used it on this one!

The only thing I was unsure about is, in the original video, it looked like you were climbing a small hill. I don’t think you were in low range but not sure?? If you were that would make it much louder by comparison. Also, in the second video with the Siless you were on grass and seemed to be pitched slightly downhill which would have eased strain in the motor and therefore noise. I’m not saying casting doubt but all three surfaces and sections were different so hard to know what other factors were influencing the differences but certainly a detectable improvement. I will try to find your siless installation bc I might tackle that project. I’m like you, less noise and smooth ride is most important to me

      @kapperoutdoors  ปีที่แล้ว

Yeah it is unscientific and I don't recall the specific ride scene segments, but it definitely made a difference. But I'd like it to be quiet like a pickup truck! Best of luck, thanks

What did you do for the firewall inside or outside. I have done everything but that. All my mat is outside but the back wall it’s behind the seats

I did not take anything apart to get better coverage for the firewalls. Just what I could reach inside and out.

A piece of that might make a good sound deadening mat for a deer blind ...🤔

YEP! Good call! That is on my hit list for this year!! I will also be getting more of this matting just for that. Have a good weekend

I have a John deer gator I got it new in 2016 after I bought that I was on TH-cam from back then and Polaris I got a really nice machine and I like how the full cab looks so much better than like a John Deere gator and if you get a John Deere gator with a full cab they charge so much money I mean the one I got was $16,000 and it did not even have a windshield parts are so expensive I mean accessory when I first got it I wanted a mat for the bed just because I don’t live on a lot of property I got like 6 acres in the area I live in the lot of places to go ride to go have some fun hey so I was looking it up the other day exhaust kit that you can install right to what you already have it is night and day One guy I seen on TH-cam referred the sound probably a 20 mile an hour like a Swarm of bees. But yeah look up how to make the exhaust quieter that and that’s all the other things that you’re going to make it so much quieter I’m thinking about getting another one and it’s definitely gonna be a Polaris four-door 💪💪👍👍💪👍👍👍👍there is nothing like a side by side to have on your property to do anything you don’t have to have a farm what you doing maintenance on your property any kind of work on your property taking the garbage down to the road I’m about 150 yards from the road to take ny garbage down to the road

There is no doubt that a cab UTV is a great asset! And yes i relly like our Northstar Ultimate! But I always want machines quieter.. I might have to look at the exhaust thing you mention. Thanks and best of luck and enjoy that 6 acres like it's yours! Thanks

lol you are not alone in the 'minimized' hearing department! That is kind of what I heard too. I was hoping for another 'quieter' notch after the floor mats!
