Unfortunately with Joe Frazier, he was not an uncle tom or any of the horrible things Ali called him. Ali was just hurling insults for no reason. Joe actually financially supported Ali when Ali away from boxing, refused to call himself the true champion until Ali got his license back. In fact, Frazier is probably one of the the reasons Ali got his license back, because he lobbied behind Ali to reinstate him. Absolute nonsense about adrenaline helping him get his sight back. Adrenaline will help against pain, but it won't get rid of an irritant having been rubbed into his eyes... how could it??? The only way to get rid of a physical irritant and, in this case, clear his sight is to wash it out. Dundee washing his eyes between rounds and then, in addition, the sweat during the round would start to clear the irritant away.
His trainer Angelo Dundee said we were robbed of Ali's best years due to the 3/4 years he was stripped of his title and wasn't allowed to box when he refused to go to Vietnam "no Vietcong ever called me Ni**er " he said .He really was the greatest in and out of the ring.

@@yassandfatsThere is no need to google conventional use of the English language. If you need to use Google to understand the meanings of basic words such as revert and convert, then it is laughable. Who is "we"? Revert - means returning to a previous state. Factually, since he was not born a Muslim, he cannot "revert" to it. There is no need to impose your political and religious views on your audience by propagating the ridiculous idea that we must use "revert" for a convert to Islam because that is how they were born. Use the English language in the sense words were meant to be used without imposing your views on a diverse audience that may come from various faiths, or be actually atheist. You may have chosen this ridiculous idea because you want to pander to the woke audience or to please people of a particular disposition, but I have no desire to agree with you on this position. Because of his boxing prowess, his infectious personality, and his preparedness at an early stage in his career (aged 23) to risk his career and even his life (they were assassinating outspoken leaders, especially black leaders in 1960s), and because it was taken for granted that he was bound to receive a long-term prison sentence for daring to refuse to go and fight in the Vietnam war, there was not a part of the world that you could travel to, where they had not heard of this unusually brave outspoken "Boxer." A boxer that dare to do, and say, and take a stand against things you just did not dare to do and say and take a stand against, in the 1960s. Certainly not if you were black (the Civil Rights movement had just won black people the right to vote the previous year). And because of this he was not only celebrated but loved and appreciated even in the most remote far-reaching corners of the globe.
I don't know that anybody will attain that level of fame ever again. It was extraordinary.
Liston had something on his gloves to temporarily blind Muhammad Ali
Rocky Marciano real life Italian Stallion
I recommend you to watch Joseph Vincent's bored film documentaries they are the best ones
So there was nothing to back up what Ali was saying, people were just blinding following.
You should watch videos both on Liston and Frazier. Unfortunately they are usually left as a footnote on Ali's legacy, but are two of the greatest heavyweights of all time.
The insults was to sell the fight. He loved Joe but Joe wasn't used to all that show selling shit he just fought.
@@KelzKelz The things Ali said were not things you can just say lightly
the foreman grill was offered to someone else first, george was second choice i belive, george, did return to boxing late on but retired, george is also, a baptised minister, excuse my spelling

What would the world have missed if he had refused to go to Rome? Not just in boxing but in general
His trainer Angelo Dundee said we were robbed of Ali's best years due to the 3/4 years he was stripped of his title and wasn't allowed to box when he refused to go to Vietnam "no Vietcong ever called me Ni**er " he said .He really was the greatest in and out of the ring.
it was 15 rounds, its only 12 now
Legend? Nah….more like the GOAT!
Muhamad Ali
they used vinegar on the gloves in them days
I started watching then quickly gave up on this reaction video because this is not the right Greatest video to react to because you never get to hear from Ali himself. There's a much better video called MUHAMMAD ALI'S GREATEST FIGHTS WERE OUTSIDE OF THE RING. This version, is just the commentator constantly speaking on Muhammad Ali's behalf. Ali is so good in front of the camera, substituting his voice with that of a commentator is criminal, to say the least.
In this video, they actually show the footage where Ali (sitting wearing a blue suit on a TV talk show) actually tells the story himself of how he was refused service in a whites-only restaurant downtown. It's a famous story and when Ali tells it, it is both tragic and funny as hell. This video doesn't come close to portraying what was most fascinating and beguiling about the man many say was the most famous person that ever lived. To mean that no person in all of human history has experienced his level of fame in their lifetime.

Sonny Liston was known as a dirty fighter, Liston put something on his gloves to blind clay.
U should check out his trash talking skills!!!
The sky must’ve fallen….. I actually agree with Vlad Tepes
Love the grill add on hahaha
can u do a reaction video of Sonny Liston plz
Also if you wanna know Ali, maybe do a video where you actually hear Ali's voice instead of a narrator narrating
Joe was not an uncle tom. Ali just ised this as mind games. If you want to see Ali believing his uncle tom attack then watch Ali vs Ernie Terrel.
Rope a dope is legendary
Ali would have whipped joshua and klitcko in the same night, then go out to pizza hut
2:56 he didn’t “revert” to islam. He converted.
When someone adopts the Islamic faith we say revert. Google it :) x
Also, speak for yourself and use "I" when you want to say something stupid instead of saying "We".
Bro you literally pause 20 times in 1 video lol...
In boxing maybe there is pacman or Mayweather are the greatest, in mma maybe GSP or anderson silva are the greatest, in football maybe messi or C.ronaldo are the greatest... but muhammad ali is my GREATEST ATHLETE OF ALL TIME ! ...
Being greatest athlete is not always about how best u are, how best ur record but *what've you done to people's*
He slow down because of the jail
Muhammed ali trash talk, have you done it ?
What makes him the greatest? Is it because he was a Muslim? He was good, but the greatest. That’s not true
This is horrible.... the commentator is doing all of the talking... you're going past his highlight boxing moments ... can't Ali do the boxing and the speaking for himself
Draft dodger. My dad got drafted. He didnt coward out of it. Champions dont dodge a draft
Blah blah blah shut up telling her the story. It would have been a good idea to tell her prior! We boxing fans know 😴

Joe Frazier was not an uncle Tom! It was Ali pissed off because Joe didn't take ali's side during the war in Vietnam. I watched that fight. Joe was devastated over alias insults for decades after that. You two laughed about it. Imagine being called racial slurs by your own people. Figures, British people 😂
Uncle Tom is a very harsh insult, but not a racial slur. A racial slur hurts the people, a harsh insult hurts you there's a difference. We don't call our people racial slurs, an no the N-word when used by us is not a racial slur because it means something different coming from us. Lastly for supposedly not finding them laughing funny you sure laughed yourself, making you calling them out for it pointless.
@@ShadowMan23914 laughing at your stupidity! And save the we didn't or the uncle Tom isn't bs! Your just as racist as the next idiot! Seem to be a lot in Britain these days
Joe Louis is the GOAT, Louis fought more racism and pave the way and Louis was a world class person, Ali was a shet with the person who helped him, Joe frazier, so stop the BS that Ali made so much for humanity, youre crazy.
