Is the season pass worth getting since I already have the map packs on my ps3 but since it's on discount on xbox store I don't know if it's worth getting it for multiplayer ?
I got on today for about an hour and a half. Didn’t have a single modded lobby. Had a great time. Haven’t had that much fun on COD in years. I’ll be playing it more this week. Feels great to be back. Edit- Almost a year later and I regret to inform everyone this game is now back to its original modded lobby ways. The game had a revival for about a week. Was a nice glimpse into the past. Sad to see. We may never get our BO2 back how what it once was. But it’s like they say. Better to have loved and lost, than never to have loved at all. BO2 in its prime was the greatest COD of all time. I legitimately feel bad for those who never got to experience it. For those who did I salute you. Till next time, friends.
I would love to see a remastered version. The only thing that is making me say no, is that if they do; then activision will put microtransactions into it. Yes, it had payed DLC like skins etc originally, but if you didn't buy them it was still good play. They would make it like MW2(2022) instead of giving us the original game with upgrades.
Tbh out of all of the older CODs BO2 has been the most hacked and most unplayable for a long time now. It's a massive shame because it's the best COD by far.
Ahhh the pre Black Ops 4 CoDs... Love them. No Sbmm, no shenanigan animations, pure skills.. I still play CoD 4 MW (the really old one), and its one of the best CoDs ever made. Still 1000s of ppl play on PC.
Guys we all love this game, we can determine our own community, and we can still swear at each other, and play for a few hours a week to connect and blow off some steam. The rules of larger society do not apply to us here.
it sucks right now cause i do feel that BO2 is one of the best COD games ever, bur since i've gone back on 4 or 5 days ago BO2 is FILLED with hackers, way more so than any of the other old COD games. i am personally not a fan of the old MW2 now because i hate that about half of the people playing run around and quick scope with an Intervention on pretty much every single map, cause it's BY FAR the best gun in the game, but i would rather play that or even MW3 versus the trash that BO2 turned into over the last few weeks with hackers.
All modes on bo2 unplayable cause I bought all the old cods even call of duty 2 and 3 but I mainly play online on mw2 and bo1 and sometimes world at war or zombies
I think that black ops 2 found the perfect storm of guns maps and ttk. I really think the inconsistent enough connection is actually sort of like the universal equalizer
Literally a month ago the same people that were saying not to play old COD's because they were all unsafe and hacked (which is true) are all saying the games are back... The only thing "fixing" the servers did was make it quicker to get thrown into hacked lobbies and get your account screwed up.
Yeah I'm waiting for someone to do some kind of analysis on how much hackers are hacking computers through pc. If it's still going on then I can't really get back online.

Over 10k as of the making of this video? Wow! Last time I was playing BO2 multiplayer was years ago, and it was barely getting 1k and gradually dropping. Nowhere near as many when the game has released and during its prime, but 10k is impressive for what used to be at an incredibly lower player base. This makes me want to pop out the old Ps3 and see what I can find with it. A quick update, I just looked up a video that is currently 3 months old, and sadly the number of active players on the Ps3 servers is still in the poor state I remember them being in. Around 400-430 active players, it's okay, but still extremely sad that it's nothing compared to the xbox servers.
@@EvertCFW i agree with you except for trickshotting infections, i know it will get removed to but sucks to see. Just use a trickshotting menus force host, they don’t have aimbot or any other kind of malicious hack.
If I had to make a guess, I'd say that it's no different to the craze of retro gaming. People are looking back at older games from almost a decade ago and see them as preferable to whatever new games are not to their liking or simply miss playing these older titles, and those two sentiments I sympathize with as I have my own reasons to dislike the current state of gaming, but also because I miss playing these older games.
Wow. I hope that the guy at 2:23 installed a mod menu onto his console with the sole intention to justly KICK hackers that want to gain a gameplay advantage with cheats. If that's the case, more people need to be doing that 😂😂
Black ops 1 is the most active not bo2. There was 58k players in the pubs bo1 playlist. bo1 playercount is shown in the game modes and overall pubs playlist when you click find a match in bo1. The main menu has been hacked for years . Bo2 hovers around 10k. The reason being hackers run bo2 and there's hardly no hackers in bo1
I stopped buying COD after ghosts, the last true and fun COD. Still play 1 2 and ghosts on a regular basis, but everything since was crap, especially bounding around like a rabbit on steroids.
BO2 is just a goated game, nothing else and with server up and running again people will want to play that masterpiece. I just bought an xbox series x, just to play it… 😅
I doubt it's kids who have been hacking to turn the game into infection. This has been going on for nearly a decade now on Bo2, self evidential as it's still not uncommon after all these years as the video showed. It's people who are likely old now who were probably in their teens when they decided to hack the game and modify their consoles over a decade ago. That aside, yeah I miss this game too man. It's just a shame the ps3 servers are still in incredibly low numbers in active players. Last time I played they were down to 300, so I checked a video that is currently 3 months old, barely a difference of 130, so 430 players were active when the guy recorded his video. Guess I'll have to get on Xbox to get the full Bo2 experience again.

Steam stats show a different story - all CoD games losing players in the thousands, except for CoD: MW which had a 0.84% increase heh. Methinks it's a playerbase grab, specially with steam promos now. Why do these games still cost 60.00€, even?
(XBOX) ive been playing everyday for the last week, only ran into one modded lobby. i only play hardcore, so that might be why but that one modded lobby was in core, and everyone always leaves the second someone starts cheating and ruining the fun. It hasnt been that bad for anyone wanting to play (PS3) my god, the games broken in so many ways, dont even attempt it. The game has a bug of freezing and stupid ways to fix it. Its a headache…. There probably isnt near as many people on because of the issue.
