I close my eyes and see my Mom and Sister ... who passed away five years ago ... only 19 days apart; Mom on the 10th of December and Sister on the 29th. I could see them walking hand in hand together ... along the streets of gold ... no pain, no fear - just pure joy, peace, and full of God's glory!

There is something special about instrumentals like this. There are no set lyrics. No set directions. Just the music and you. You make the song, you make the memories, you make it yours. A few simple notes, a thousand different songs. If you are reading this, just know that Im here with you. We can make it. All the hard times and the pain you faced, you survived! And we are going to be alright. I love you ♥️.

I've listened to this work of art for years now after my brother showed it to me. It conjures so many beautiful memories of our childhood, but tinged with an almost heartbreaking level of reminiscence. We're nearing our thirties with kids of our own and it's only now I realise how quickly that time goes by. This song makes me yearn for those carefree days so intensely. This is the soundtrack of shadows playing in my mind that are so real but just out of reach. Thankyou for keeping them alive.

Part of me wishes these all had names so I could have a reference as to what to imagine in my head, but part of me loves the ambiguity that is presented in a nameless song because every listener can have a completely different interpretation.
When I listen to this, I imagine a man out at sea in a small boat, just off the shore by a couple miles. It is just before sunrise; the sea is incredibly calm and there are few clouds in the sky. The man is sitting there in quiet contemplation. He is leaving behind everything he once knew, setting out that morning to escape from his former life as a simple member of society. He drifts farther and farther away from shore, destined to wander the seas for many days, though hoping to find a small island paradise that he can live on, forgetting the life he once led. He glances back toward the shore, to the small town, the family and friends, and the life he is leaving. Part of him regrets his decision, and starts becoming nostalgic, recounting memories of his childhood. However, he knows he has already made his choice; it is too late for him to return. He looks forward, to the horizon. The sun is now rising slowly, the birth of a new day. This is the path he has chosen, the solemn path of a lone wanderer. He sheds a tear, though if it is one of joy or sorrow, I cannot say.
