Kindred links felt in pōwhiri for Native American manuhiri

A pōwhiri was held at the Wellington Airport today to welcome two Native American manuhiri to the capital. Well-known actors Elder Saginaw Grant and Rick Mora are in the country for the Wellington Armageddon Expo next week where they will be holding workshops on Native American knowledge.

The brothers and sisters from America are like us very much.
Only difference is language. But we are very similar. Headbands, diamond shaped designs on them, feathers in our hair, and native to the land.

Sort of but we are East Asian racial stock, Maori are Polynesians.

Both groups have links to ancient aboriginal East Asia (Taiwan for Poly's) at least thats what is highly theorized, but that was thousands of years ago and both groups have evolved into their own separate groups. Polynesians as with other Nesians are their own people (Pasifika) and same for Native Americans

@@navimana i think both groups originally migrated from the coastal regions of China the Native Americans went north towards Siberia and crossed the land bridge into Alaska and spread throughout the Americas. The Polynesians went south to Taiwan and spread from there to the Philippines and Indonesia and so forth. But yes they are all part of the same family so to speak. ☺
