I just got the maul. Doesn’t seem to have a bevel, same angle all the way down. Also it is about 31-32” (too short for me) and has a wedged in handle not the cap with screw. Can you do a breakdown on that setup? I’m curious how it’s engineered and how well it works.
The wedge of the maul should not exceed 45° the edge of the maul should also not exceed 45° in hard wood. Softer wood you can go 75° My estwing maul has main angle 40° (wedge shape of maul) and the blade has a bevel angle about 42° 32 inch handle is ok if you split one block of wood. But if you split on the ground 36 inch is better. If the main wedge is 45° then you can't go less than the main wedge.
