The beautiful story about Lukhanyo Am is that he didn't go to the biggest rugby school. After school, he wasn't contracted by one of the big teams and he literally had to start from the bottom. Unfortunately, many players are lost down there. Once chance training session with Rassie Erasmus, who was looking to increase the pool of black players, led him to landing a contract with the Kings. Once at the Kings, his talent was there for all to see. When Erasmus became Springbok coach, he gave him an opportunity, and the rest is history. His rugby IQ is second to none.

If you wanna go watch a South Africa vs New Zealand Match??? Come watch when they are playing in Cape Town, South Africa on September 7th 2024, It will be one of biggest games of the year because of the supporters between South Africa and New Zealand in Cape Town and its going to be massive.

Thank you for putting in so much effort trying to learn the sport. I can tell you're so passionate just like us here in South Africa. Every video I watch, your terms keep getting better and better. Keep them coming my guy 👌
Thanks so much Luke! I appreciate you, your support and kind words. It means so much to me 🙌🏽 I love rugby so much and have all the love for South Africa and all the nations that play this beautiful game
I must say as a South African I appreciate your enjoyment for not just the bokkes but rugby in general I genuinely love watching your reactions and learning all the players props to you my dude
As a South African, I've been loving these vids, and just if you don't know. Some of the players you look at when they were in their prime, played for the boks, but some people get older and not as fit so they decide to only play for their club team, and btw i'm not talking about Lukhanyo, just like in general. But Lukhanyo in his prime man is something diffrent. He was easily the smartest player ever. but then had a little injury before the 2023 rugby world cup so he was out for most of the world cup.
Thanks so much for your incredible support! It means the world to me 🙌🏽 It makes sense what you're saying about them being in their prime. Like you said Lukhanyo has such an amazing IQ and skill. It's beautiful to see!
If you want to see the Springboks and All Blacks in action this year, you need to get down to South Africa on the 31st of August or the 7th of September. I'd suggest the Cape Town match on the 7th of September. The crowds in Cape Town are electric, and it is safer for a tourist at the DHL Stadium. Even though Ellispark is a fantastic stadium with big history for the Boks, it resides in a bad spot in Johannesburg where infrastructure is bad and safety is a concern, especially for tourists. I am going to watch the Ellis Park game though.
Thanks so much for the schedule on the upcoming game. I will take a look and do my best to get out there this year. I'll make the travel plans and let you know what games I'm able to attend. I'm looking forward to being in South Africa and being in the incredible atmosphere and culture you have!
You should also check out Jesse Kriel who was little in Am's shadow in the 2019 WC but then when Am got injured for the 2023 WC Jesse was just phenominal
In rugby the centre who has number 13 on his back is generally the more defensive player out of the centres. He controls the defense for the backline. Am is an exceptional defensive player which they didn’t highlight too much. He is so well rounded as a player he really doesn’t have much weaknesses at all. I wish you could see more of his defensive plays though.
You said it perfectly Justin! I will do more analysis on his incredible defensive prowess. I know I only saw the tip of the iceberg with these clips I want to see the entire picture of Am's IQ and skill. I appreciate you boss!
Another SA fan here. Love your videos and analysis. Very observant from particularly an athletic point of view. Keep it up. Regarding your wanting to catch an SA vs NZ game in person this year: for the test in Cape Town at least, you need to register to go into a lottery to potentially be selected to buy tickets. That is how in demand those tickets are going to be. A google search should be easy enough to find out what you need to do. Good luck. I'm in the draw already
Massive love Leighton! I appreciate you, your support, and kind words. It means a lot 🙌🏽 Thanks for the heads up on the ticket for SA v NZ. I'll make sure to enter the draw and I hope I'm able to attend it live this year! That would be the dream
@@QSNgg31st of August in Johannesburg 7th of September in Cape Town Are the dates the All Black will play the Boks in SA. Those ticket’s sales are high on demand if you miss those sales I opt you go for Springboks vs Argentina later on the 21st of September.

Been watching for a year and your growth into rugby has been remarkable. You should really make time to come watch a club game or international game. Warning in advance, you have to book your Springboks tickets months in advance because they sell out stadiums real quick. Love the videos and keep up the "LEKKER" work. Aka "LEKKER" means good XD
Hey man I think fans would appreciate if you could better your understanding of the importance of turnovers in rugby. Its one of the important technical skills in the sport and i think you'd appreciate the nuances and technicalities of it.Btw keep it up you make reactions that I feel people in the community actually like to see.😊💪

@@JaemanEdwards they would both be in the team... Granted said dream team would consist mostly of NZ and SA players. My personal dream team is 15. Cristian Cullen 14. Brian Habana 13. Brian O'Driscoll 12. Jean De Villiers 11. Jonah Lomu 10. Dan Carter 9. George Gregan 8. ZinZan Brooke 7. Thierry Dusetoir 6. Heinrich Brussow 5. Victor Matfield 4. Bakkies Botha 3. Martin Castro Giovanni 2. James Dalton 1. Coenie Oosthuizen
@@KONG-93 Interesting team. Some bolters for sure. I'm surprised you didn't pick Joost who I regard highly. I'd have him over Gregan. Powerful lock selections and I love how you picked Zinny over the many great Springbok no. 8s. Big call on Dusautoir over Richie McCaw for the openside and Coenie over Os. My team I have picked players out of position. Serge Blanco at centre and Beauden Barrett at second five for example just so I could fit my favourite players in. Both players could have excelled in these positions. But if we're sticking to their normal positions : 1. Os du Randt (Springboks) 2. Dane Coles (All Blacks) 3. Tahdg Furlong (Ireland) 4. Brodie Rettalick (All Blacks) 5. Eben Etzebeth (Springboks) 6. Thierry Dusautoir (France) 7. Michael Jones (All Blacks) 8. Ardie Savea (All Blacks) 9. Antoine Dupont (France) 10. Beauden Barrett (All Blacks) 11. Jonah Lomu (All Blacks) 12. Ma'a Nonu (All Blacks) 13. Brian Odriscoll (Ireland) 14. Will Jordan (All Blacks) 15. Christian Cullen (All Blacks) That's 9 All Blacks 2 Springboks 2 Ireland 2 France 0 England 😄 Well I am a Kiwi bro but at least I didn't favour any of the other top teams. Australia probably deserves at least one player in the GOAT XV. Campese, Horan, Eales, and a player who barely missed my team, Stephen Larkham, would all be vying for a spot on any team. Kolbe and Campese are my next favourite wingers then Habana and Kirwan. Surprised you never selected Danie Gerber. Heard he was a stone cold legend. So disappointing he didn't get to show the world his talents.

Reason for this... ATMOSPHERE
That's awesome you're from the same province in Eastern Cape! I'll 100% have to check out Stormer and the Bulls. I have hear so much about the rivalry between the clubs and need to be there to experience it
South Africa have won 4 WORLD CUPS 1995 2007 2019 2023. IN the first two 1995 and 2007 we won both those finals WITHOUT EVEN SCORING ONE SINGLE TRY IN THE FINALS. THE VERY FIRST TRY SOUTH AFRICA SCORED IN A WORLD CUP FINAL WAS IN THE 2019 WIN AGAINST ENGLAND RHE TRY WAS A MAMPIMPI and LUKHANYO AM special combination move with MAMPIMPI Scoring the first ever south African springboks world cup final try and then KOLBEA SCORED THE SECOND IN THAT GAME SEALING THE VICTORY. IN 2023 WORLD CUP FINAL WE ALSO WON WITHOUT SCORING A TRY. SO IN OUR FOUR FINALS WE SCORED ONLY TWO TRIES BOTH IN THE SECOND HALF OF THE SAME FINAL 2019 BUT IN FOUR FINALS ONLY 1 TRY HAS BEEN SCORED AGAINST US IN THE 2023 FINAL. WE'VE BEATEN the all blacks in two finals and england in two finals. The margins at the top are very very very small in victory and defeat.

As a person from Pretoria (Bulls trerritory) and living im Johannesburg (Lions territory). I have to say if you come to SA and want to go to a Rugby game. Definetely go to Cape Town and watch a Stormers game. They have the best crowds and the best vibes.
But they're stadium has been half full pretty consistently. Now if a Boks game is there, i agree that Cape Town has the vibes goin, but other than that... sad to say but people ain't comin out as much as they used to to see the Stormers woop some ass and the same goes for pretty much every stadium, but the Bulls are playin the Final at home next weekend so i'm hopin for a full house.
Thanks for the heads up on that Ruan! I'm definitely going to get to Cape Town and hopefully all the cities in South Africa. That would be the dream to experience the atmosphere and vibes 🙌🏽

What ? The All Blacks were down a man for 50 minutes and the Springboks failed to score a try. That final was an absolute farce and proved the All Blacks were easily the superior rugby team.

I'll 100% check out Jesse Kriel! I met his brother Dan in Seattle and he's a great guy!
I like how you put your facts together 👏🏽👏🏽
Thanks so much Eddie! I appreciate you 🙌🏽
Please react to grant Williams he is the scrum half of the Sharks and he is lightn quick a very versatile and talented player.
I'll check out Grant Williams for sure! Thanks for the recommendation Andre
Come watch the Cape Town match happening later this year against NZ. Going to be a massive one.
I'm planning on getting out there for sure! I hope to make it happen. I'll let you know and make an announcement once I confirm my travel dates 🙌🏽
Love your channel bud! Much love from Cape Town!
I know I only saw the tip of the iceberg with these clips
I want to see the entire picture of Am's IQ and skill. I appreciate you boss!
im from SA and love having a rugby channel thats good also surrport the emirite lions the rivals for the stormers
Thanks for the love and support Mark! It means a lot! I'll for sure cover more SA club rugby as we continue to grow
It means a lot 🙌🏽
Thanks for the heads up on the ticket for SA v NZ. I'll make sure to enter the draw and I hope I'm able to attend it live this year! That would be the dream
If you forget rugby rules, find a Springboks game with Lukhanyo Am in it. He is a rugby encyclopaedia.
I love that Matte! I hear he is an absolute mastermind!
You are welcome to come to SA and All Blacks visits in August if you serious about coming
You better have the brai ready for my man..
Massive love Juan! I'm going to make the trip to SA and experience it 🙌🏽
@@QSNgg31st of August in Johannesburg
7th of September in Cape Town
Are the dates the All Black will play the Boks in SA. Those ticket’s sales are high on demand if you miss those sales I opt you go for Springboks vs Argentina later on the 21st of September.
Am is pure class
He's incredible!
At I believe 11:46 you can see he only has 1/2 of a middle finger left. The only reason he might be considered not the complete package 😅. I absolutely LOVE Am and the Sharks (might not have had the best seasons off late). I also must admire your effort in understanding the players, the game, the teams and when I heard you say METERS . . . BAM Subbed! Keep up the great work ❤
Massive love Wikus! I appreciate you and all of your support boss! I didn't even notice he's missing 1/2 his middle finger until now 😳
Thanks so much for your sub and connecting with you. I'm looking forward to talking with you more boss 🙌🏽
@@QSNgg All credit to you for making all the effort. Pronouncing the players names already is a huge achievement. All the best for the future and I am sure you will enjoy a lot of success! 💪🏻
For someone who has just been introduced to rugby you doing well
Thanks so much Eduardo! I appreciate you and your support boss 🙌🏽
Much luv frm South Africa bruuu.
Baie liefde my brother! I appreciate you Mbo 🙌🏽
You need to react to Damian Willemse next👍🏾...
100% doing a Damian Willemse video 🙌🏽
Best centre in the world for the last 4 years
I see why! He's a beast
Hey man I think fans would appreciate if you could better your understanding of the importance of turnovers in rugby. Its one of the important technical skills in the sport and i think you'd appreciate the nuances and technicalities of it.Btw keep it up you make reactions that I feel people in the community actually like to see.😊💪
Massive love Tadiwa! I agree and have been learning more about turnovers and all the aspects of the game. I appreciate you boss!
I'll for sure get a better understanding and knowledge of the technicalities ❤️
we would love to have you in South africa and have you see the rugby up close.
I can't wait to visit you out there in SA! That's the dream!

You must definitely come to South Africa! Maybe not as big a crowd as A Football games about 20-30000 depending but definitely a vibe before and after the game. Just say exactly that you getting into the rugby vibe and see how South Africans will look after you. A few may even offer you a place to stay. 😅.
I will definitely come to South Africa! I'm looking forward to making the trip and getting out there to be in the culture and atmosphere. I hope we can connect, eat, and watch a game together too 🙌🏽
As a South African I love the love you show to my country ❤... Would love it if you could do a video on Brian Habana... Keep up with the good work
Yes us Kiwi respected Habana highly
@@JaemanEdwards just as we South Africans respect the great Christian Cullen
@@KONG-93 Respect bro. These two players would both be vying for the GOAT XV.
@@JaemanEdwards they would both be in the team... Granted said dream team would consist mostly of NZ and SA players. My personal dream team is
15. Cristian Cullen
14. Brian Habana
13. Brian O'Driscoll
12. Jean De Villiers
11. Jonah Lomu
10. Dan Carter
9. George Gregan
8. ZinZan Brooke
7. Thierry Dusetoir
6. Heinrich Brussow
5. Victor Matfield
4. Bakkies Botha
3. Martin Castro Giovanni
2. James Dalton
But if we're sticking to their normal positions :
1. Os du Randt (Springboks)
2. Dane Coles (All Blacks)
3. Tahdg Furlong (Ireland)
4. Brodie Rettalick (All Blacks)
5. Eben Etzebeth (Springboks)
6. Thierry Dusautoir (France)
7. Michael Jones (All Blacks)
8. Ardie Savea (All Blacks)
9. Antoine Dupont (France)
10. Beauden Barrett (All Blacks)
11. Jonah Lomu (All Blacks)
12. Ma'a Nonu (All Blacks)
13. Brian Odriscoll (Ireland)
14. Will Jordan (All Blacks)
15. Christian Cullen (All Blacks)
That's 9 All Blacks 2 Springboks 2 Ireland 2 France 0 England 😄 Well I am a Kiwi bro but at least I didn't favour any of the other top teams.
You would love Squidge's video about Am. Pure Class.
Squidge and Eggchasers are annoying soy boys. You a fan of annoying soy boys ?
I'm going to check out Squidge's video on Am! I'm looking forward to it 🙌🏽

Check out Sanele Nohamba and Edwill van der Merwe they plan as scrum half and wing for the Lions
I'll check both of these men out! Sanele just won URC player of the year I saw too
Lukhanyo is from my home province in the Eastern Cape, South Africa. He is an absolute hero in our area.
PS, if you want to watch club rugby in South Africa, I suggest you watch the Stormers play in Cape Town and the Bulls in Pretoria. For an SA vs All Blacks, Pretoria is your best bet. Reason for this... ATMOSPHERE
That's awesome you're from the same province in Eastern Cape!
I'll 100% have to check out Stormer and the Bulls. I have hear so much about the rivalry between the clubs and need to be there to experience it
Yes, it's pronounced 'Arm'.
Thanks for the pronunciation Justin!
You Should Come and watch the Bulls VS Glasgow warriors next week in Pretoria. Its the URC Final
I wish I could be out there for the final! I'll watch it this weekend though. I have the Bulls winning!
South Africa have won 4 WORLD CUPS
1995
2007
2019
2023.
Two tries in four world cup finals is just laughable and oh so saffa.
What a poor representation of our game. Shameful rugby.
@@JaemanEdwards you again Edwards trolling still 8months down the line after the BOK WIN.
Ps plenty ways to skin a cat.
Get over it we have 4 world CUPS.
It seems you're obsessed with deginerating the BOKS and you speak about being shameful.
Yeah 4 WC is an incredible accomplishment against very tough teams like NZ and England. I"m excited to see the next WC in 2027! I'll be there in person 🙌🏽
@@QSNgg Hell yeah you'll be there bro.
If you ever Visit South-Africa,Cape Town is the place to be crew it's too beautiful to explain😢 thus you should be a Stormers Supporter as they reside in Cape Town😅

Also the boks are playing their first match of the year Saturday against wales at twickenham. You also mentioned you want to go to a SA vs NZ match this year. Last year's world cup final is going to be as good a SA v NZ game as you can get mate.
What ? The All Blacks were down a man for 50 minutes and the Springboks failed to score a try.
That final was an absolute farce and proved the All Blacks were easily the superior rugby team.
It was incredible! I wished I saw it live and had a chance to experience
Yeah playing a man down was a massive factor too. Both teams played their hearts out even with all the adversity
@@QSNgg Yeah Saffas think I'm sour at them for winning. The truth is the Springboks are deserved if not worthy champions.. The sissy new modern rugby laws that led to the red card is what I'm sour about. The Springboks do not write the rules and I understand this.
