houses in America aren’t build with the same foundations like UK and other countries, why do you think everything is so cheap over there, whenever a regular storm or hurricane comes it just demolishes homes, it wouldn’t happen in the UK, a 200 thousand pound home in America could get you a massive house with multiple rooms but in UK it would get you a standard 3 bedroom house.

Not true, In Florida I know there are some houses that weren’t affected by Hurricane Irma. They are made of concrete and not wood and drywall. Many other places have enforced new house building rules for all sorts of disasters.
