I love everything about this. As much I like Massdrop and hope that their intentions are good I can’t help but think that there’s always a thread of bias at play. I guess it never dawned on me either that GH was owned by a single entity, but over the years I’ve come to find that SlickDeals, CAG, and the like are all legitimate companies. I do hope that the sense of community remains and that people aren’t unconsciously contributing towards someone else’s IP.
Totally rushed, and totally silly. :) But I think it ultimately probably doesn't matter too much. I used to think GeekHack was a silly name, but like most such things, you go blind to it instantly. If nothing else, it's gotten a lot of people talking about what we're trying to do. hehe
