Hey I got my talaria about a week ago and I ordered this and I’m trying to put it on and I’m not seeing the right thing to plug the light into could it be different for later batches?
I've watched a few videos of how to do so, and I'm going to try it and upload my own video next week! Make sure you're subscribed so you stay updated and get notified when the new videos drop! Thanks so much for the support!
This is the 2nd case of this I’ve heard. Someone else in a fb group claimed this and had a square plug. This switch worked for my bike and I have an R mx4. I guess they are shipping with different headlight connectors on some models? Bizzare
No it doesn’t turn off the tail light, just headlight. It’s a pretty simple install. Hardest part is just routing the wires. I saw today too there is a plug and play kit available for the mx4 now it’s the square connector on Amazon. $28 by a company called E-MX
Great video. I ordered the surron version of the blinder and switch for my mx4. My mx4 has the more recent connectors (square). Should I be able to just repin the connector on my switch to the square connector that goes into the square connector on the bike? Then just use the same surron connector that's on my binder and switch? Would that work? Or do I need to repin all the connectors to the new square ones?
Wrong connection. Also the newer models are shipping with a different square connector. Trace your headlight and check that connection. If it’s a black square connector, there’s links for the updated one in description, and I think gritshift sells an adapter on their site
@@freerfixedit Thanks for the reply. The connectors fit properly, but it cut power to the entire bike when switched off. I'll try a different option before digging into the wiring diagram
@@agrenoble1 I made the same mistake when I first installed mine. There’s an oval connector in there that will cause this. The correct headlight connection will only control the headlight on off function. Probably a black square connector unless you got a first batch bike. Hope you find it and get it sorted! 🤙🏽
yes just make sure to check which connector you have, earlier talarias were the oval surron style connector you see in this video, theyve since gone to a black square connector for the headlight. check which one you have and order headlights/ headlight switches accordingly!
Some are shipping with the oval surron connectors you see in the video. Some are also shipping with a square connector unfortunately. Wasn’t aware of this before making the video. Make sure you check for which connector you have before ordering!
I haven’t hooked up a usb port yet. I’m actually kinda mad I didn’t see that lol. I want one now. I’ll check them out. Might be the same process to install, idk what extra the usb will add to the installation though
@@freerfixedit I run a Bluetooth speaker when I ride with the kids on their razors so I was using it to power the speaker since it’s strapped down. However there isn’t enough voltage coming out of it to power it so to compensate I hooked up a powder bank to the usb port and plugged in the speaker to the power bank so they both charge off the usb port and it works lol. 🫡🫡🫡
Easiest thing would be cut the headlight off at the bars, cut your new headlight, and wire the 2 wires back together. Until the aftermarket world catches up with the square connector, that’s the easiest route
Headlight only. I did find the tail light connector under the seat. And it is the same connector. So you could use this for the tail light too, but would have to extend the wire to reach the bars. I’m sure it’d be easier just to spice the tail light and headlight together on one switch 🤷🏻♂️
so this fits the new sting r??? hey also can you show the adjustment on the left fork?? I know it says 10 clicks but luna cycle is trying to tell me that my bike having less than 1 turn is how they are... can you please show us the level of adjustment so I can validate that it has more than one turn of adjustment please?? thanks so much!!
Hey, I have a full suspension video on the channel if you want to check that out… you have to check which connector you have for the headlight switch. First batch shipped with oval surron connectors. Newer models are coming with a square connector. Hope this helps!
@@bobbybwl So, they haven't started making switches with the square connector yet. What you can do is purchase the square connector here amzn.to/46juEe4 and re-pin the switch to the square connector. Heres a link to a good video showing how to do it th-cam.com/video/3A4DWnN9LcY/w-d-xo.html Looks pretty simple!
Bro i have watched this vid multiple times and i cannot find the right wire to install the switch, the actual light wire, then connections do not match up.
So unfortunately… some bikes are shipping with a black square connector, and I’ve seen videos of peoples bikes with no connector for the headlight at all. Just straight wired in. If you have the square connector, someone just put out a really good how to video on replacing the connections of the switch to square. Really easy. I’ll try to find the link for you
No, there’s another connection under the seat for the tail light. Also, newer stings are shipping with a different square connector now. Make sure you check which connector your bike has before ordering. They make a square version now as well on Amazon by emx, and also I’m hearing gritshift sells and adapter on their site
Yeah they started shipping them with a different square connector. There’s a good video on TH-cam of a guy showing how to re pin the switch with the square harness. Looks simple
Thanks dude. I’m gonna connect that switch to the speed wire so we can have a safe mode and jump into speed mode.
Exactly what I had planned! How’d it go? Did you just remove the connectors and solder it onto the brown wire?
Literally bought a talaria mx4 because of you thanks!!!
Love to hear it! Hope you enjoy it! 🤙🏽
Ordered the blue LED switch! thanks
Hey I got my talaria about a week ago and I ordered this and I’m trying to put it on and I’m not seeing the right thing to plug the light into could it be different for later batches?
are the plugs on your bike not square?
I was wondering how to do this... I also don't like the start button... is there a way to bypass it?

The toggle switch linked does not fit the new talaria sting R mx4. Different plugs
This is the 2nd case of this I’ve heard. Someone else in a fb group claimed this and had a square plug. This switch worked for my bike and I have an R mx4. I guess they are shipping with different headlight connectors on some models? Bizzare
Same issue here mines a square black plug and doesn’t fit the oval one
@@FreshRides I found the name of the square connector if you’d want to splice it into the headlight. Hang on I’ll find the name and link…

Hey I just take the tip over sensor but now my light doesn’t work my display and the breaks light too
sounds like you took out more than just the tip sensor...
Plausible to run it to the brown wire to easily switch modes back and forth from the handlebars?
People have tried, but it looks like once you cut the wire there is no going back

how much longer battery life do you think this will give?
Not much. Very little probably. But I just like being able to turn it off and on when I want
Especially went running from the cops at night. Hooked up a kill switch for tail, light/brakelight and headlight.
I was planning to find a way to do this after work. guess I don't have to anymore
Glad I could help!
