Awesome video man! Always appreciate when people do little things like pre-unscrewing the screws to save time and make a nice quick to the point video. 10/10.
I want to thank you very much for posting this video. I own a Ford Ranger and followed your instruction and I successfully installed the mirror. I'm NOT mechanically inclined but with this video, I was able to do it. Thanks again! 👍
What size was the wrenches - 11mm for the nuts?? What size Torx?? I can't tell you how awesome it was to come across this video - THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!!
If you are worried about a nut dropping out of a socket, try wrapping a piece of masking tape around the end of the socket leaving about half off the end and folding it into the socket, This will result in a slight "force fit" onto the nut and keep it from falling out. Experiment with how much tape to use to get the desired "fit".
BTW, video was great! I've got a loose mirror (just the mirror, not the whole unit) on the driver's side that keeps moving out of position, but don't know if I need to remove it to tighten it.....anyone????
It’s not that bad of a job to take those nuts off even if you lose them down the door, the hardware stores half a mile away. I took the new mirror down and got six additional nuts for three bucks, one way or another was going back together and it did.
Pretty unbelievable: I go out to replace my mirror and after struggling with the door panel, I'm afraid I might break something if I don't do it right, so I come in to the laptop I left on, type "ford ranger mirror repaid" into the URL and (because it's Firefox) it goes directly to this video with step by step on a truck the same year as mine. I thought I'd spend at least a half-hour searching for something helpful. These here newfangled intranets sure beats all get out...

Thanks you. I will replace side mirror for toyota corolla tomorrow. Dealer asked 180.00 + Tax for this . I really appreciate your time.
Great video! This saved me from reading the Haynes book on my Ranger haha.
Great video. Also, I like the Yuengling on the floorboard!

The torx size is 1/4"...good video...some door panels have a additional screw to left of handle...check before pulling door panel out...
Great job. Great information.
Man this was helpful!. Thank you very much.
Is this the same process for the 2000 Ranger? Also, is the glass replaceable by itself?
