I miss the old Dr. Strange from his first origin movie and Infinity War where his magic is still impressively fascinating with some actual mind bending visual. But what in NWH and MoM, there is not as so fascinating and deep anymore.

These guys needed the Dark Dimension to pull these things off, while Strange managed to do the same on his own in NWH. Strange has advanced quite a lot since this movie.
Seeing this.. it's pretty clear strange was not even trying to defeat Peter in NWH. He is way more Powerful than even ancient one in NWH, he could have easily defeated Peter if he wanted to.. When Peter took his ring, he wasn't angry, he was a bit surprised.. And also mads Mikkelsen is a great actor..
That's how I saw it. If Strange wanted to really hurt Peter, he would have done so. He just wanted Pete out of the way to finish the spell. Though Him being so nonchalant about him taking the sling ring was a little off to me. That was his only way out. And as far as he knew, he and his gang had no way to bring him back after they'd finished/failed. You'd think he'd be a little more upset about being locked away like that.

I don't think Dr. Strange started to draw powers from Dormammu. When you use that power, there's a symbol of Dormammu that will appear in your forehead but there's a time when the Ancient One introduces the mirror dimension to Strange and she warped the place but there's no symbol in her forehead, meaning she didn't draw powers from Dormammu to do that and I think that technique is what Strange did in No Way Home coz there's no symbol in his forehead when he warped the mirror dimension. So maybe it's an advance technique that any sorcerer can do but those who draw powers from Dormammu do it in a much better and powerful way 😁
