@@Sherry_._ Dormammu didn't know what time actually is since he's beyond time. Time is only man made though on this Earth. In the grand scale of the universe there's no such thing as time. Yeah, well, there's only two in the MCU, so naturally this is the best if you compare with the second one. But Doctor Strange himself was better in the Avengers movies, not in his own.
I find it hypocritical of those like Mordo or Kycelius who turned to the dark side completely just because they discovered that the Ancient One draws on dark magic when she fights. Its not like she goes completely evil when she uses it, the dark magic just gives her a boost, nothing wrong with that. There are times when we have got to make use of less than admirable abilities for the greater good. It only becomes a bad thing if you allow yourself to get completely consumed by the darkness just like Kycelius, or Anakin Skywalker. Maybe because the dark side gives them the freedom to do whatever they want without anyone telling them no. After all, the dark side does make one extremely powerful. Just look at Sauron.
Mordo only became a villain as a result of Dr. Strange using the time stone to reverse Dormammu's invasion. That was the consequence of using the time stone as Wong told him "the bill comes later." Mordo sees the invasion as an inevitability and Strange messing with that causes him to want to return the flow of time to normal, where Dormammu invades Earth successfully.

Because one is an active spell and the other is a passive spell. The time anchor is literally a spell that returns the user to the point of activation if the user dies.
