I tried doing the recovery mode like 3 times already will it still work or do I have to start over from the beginning

doesn't work on S8+ with damaged (black) screen and touch panel. Although laying down another similar phone next to it and doing the same there to the same time. CMD doesn't know this device after connecting or doesn't find any devices. Maybe some other step on some phones, or a bug inside? (I only want to set it into debugging mode without screen or panel, to save the data (pics)... - no more idea...

I read an article online .. did it.Nothing worked i got a reboot loop.Did it again.Nothing works...now im watching the video.I did the same and it did work... but i did exactly the same things.
it goes to installing window screen, and goes directly to the samsung logo... can't enter the recovery mode

How can I fix this issue? When my s8 idles and then goes black as I press the power button the screen goes black with a little sliver of green visible at the top. When that happens, i have to wait until that green sliver disappears and then if I tap the screen a bit the time date will become visible. Then I can press the power button and get the screen working again. Any idea what the problem is and how to fix it? Thanks to everyone reading!

How do you reset it, without powering it off, it requires a pin to turn off and I don't remember
Mine still says add your current pin when I did it
My s8+ had an update and froze when i went to use it. Now it won't turn on and I've managed to do what your doing once and it still won't turn on or go to the computer looking screen.

@@iinmev No mine was pretty much fried. It wont boot long enough for you to hard reset. Phone techs couldn't even look at it

Ever since I did my factory reset I haven't had any phone pages. Five of my pages have nothing on them now. All I can use them for is to add icons. So the phone icon can sit there, on it's own and work but that's all.

I would first try a factory reset from Recovery Mode. Did you try that?

I would first try to boot into Safe Mode - www.androidexplained.com/galaxy-s8-safe-mode/
If the vibrating stops in Safe Mode then it's an application you donwloaded and installed from the Play Store (or other sources) that is causing it. You will then need to uninstall apps until you find out which one it is.
If that doesn't work though, then I would suggest booting up into Recovery Mode and performing a factory reset - www.androidexplained.com/galaxy-s8-factory-reset/
Android Explained i did the volume down and power button it turned on but the screen is still black. I receive messages and notifications but still black. It happened to me before but the black screen didn’t last long. Now it’s almost a week :(

Works the same for Galaxy S9 (regular).
S8 stuck in restart loop, can't turn it off, doesn't respond to any force reset or mode attempts, doesn't get past galaxy screen. Seems impossible since everyone recommends turning it off, which I can't do.
Mines the same anyone know how to fix
@@ashleighchambers6909 I let the battery die and waited awhile and it eventually went into the restore mode, but none of the options to get it working without factory resetting it got it working again. It's still stuck in restore mode so I bought a different phone. Good luck.

I don't dabble in the 'factory reset protection' bypass stuff because I have no idea if people are using it to break into a stolen phone or not

send it back to the seller and get a refund (through PayPal, hopefully) for selling you a phone that cannot be used

You don't have to be rooted to boot a Samsung phone into Recovery Mode
My phone's certainly not rooted and this just worked for me. I got the recovery mode screen after my phone died and after turning it on, it started to install an update, then the screen appeared 🤷🏽♀️🤷🏽♀️

That sounds like some sort of hardware issue (especially if the screen doesn't turn on when you reboot). This type of recovery mode is meant for software type stuff, it seems like yours is hardware related.
I tried this, the android logo just blinks then goes off & repeats. How do I fix that?
