It's a full album. 11 tracks - 6 new tracks with a double title track Gold and Imaginary Friend (MV out on the 28th) and the 5 songs from Born to Be that are now in their FINAL Version featuring Lia's vocals. There is a track called VAY which features Stray Kids Changbin as a producer and singer.
The man in the mask "REPRESENTS" - Dem Jointz the Producer who did the beats and instrumental (you can google him), his producer tag is in all his songs "INCOMING"; he has worked with everyone and is very much in demand. They didn't have to pay homage to him at all, but I think they wanted to highlight which parts they felt were the best of his contributions.
@CoachCastTV Dem Joinz has recently worked with a LOT of K-pop groups. His K-pop songs tend to be wild just like this one. It is very common for it to take multiple listens to like/understand what is going on. Also, it is common for his K-pop songs to be hit or miss. But if a group wants a song that catches attention, they turn to him.
I’m with you on this one, Coach; I need to listen to it a few more times. Right now, not my favorite song. But I love Itzy, and am beyond happy to see Lia back! ❤
Coach, I totally understand you with not being sure with a single listen. I was in the group who, I'll be honest, wasn't a fan when I first listened to it. Maybe it's the all over place aspect? Who knows, but I feel it's one song who grows on you over time to the point where I now have it in my top faves from Itzy! Equally happy to see the OT5 and to have Lia's vocals and visual again. This is a full album with two title tracks, the other being Imaginary Friend for which we'll have the MV next week on the 28th. There's 6 new tracks and 5 are "final versions" of what we got in Born To Be but this time with Lia's vocals as well.
I definitely think it's a grower, as during editing and after a few listens it does seem better than the first listen. We obviously want to give our honest opinion on a first listen, but realize it can change. Just like with aespa's "Next Level" which I wasn't totally sure about at the time has become one of my favorite K-pop songs.
itzy went full force after lia hiatus 10 month, it is not generic music i have ever heard but i like it right after listening repeatedly. i'd like to listening non-mainstream song, it's so unique to put the element of the song and fuse it between hip hop and rock
It’s genre bending music for sure! It’s a grower song for most ppl. Highly recommend u watch the dance practice Mr and Mrs. Coach! The pieces of the puzzle come altogether! Thank you for reacting to ITZY and continued appreciation of them! It’s a mini album. Also their other title track “Imaginary Friend” MV comes out next week!
🔥🔥Lia is like "Thanks for keeping the place warm, if you don't mind I'll take my crown back on my head👑"🔥🔥 Thank you for the reaction M. and Mrs Coach ! For mrs. Coach's question the guy playing instruments is (I think) Dem Jointz, the producer for this song (when the gold drop fall into the hole in the begining you can hear "Incoming" which is kind of his trademark) Hope you'll jump on the second title track "Imaginary Friend" on the 28th october 🤘
Double Title Tracks. Gold and Imaginary Friend. Thank you for your react Coach! The album has 4 b-sides and final versions of Born to Be songs with Lia's inclusion. all the songs are great.
Coach, if you're still looking for Halloween Suggestions, I'd like to recommend the songs, Cosmic and Chill Kill. Both are by Red Velvet. The 1st one is inspired by the horror movie Midsommar, and the 2nd one involves Murder.
I didn't get the song, it took me a bit looking at the lyrics to understand it was about that feeling of GOLD having met you sort of deal btw this album has double Title Tracks so don't worry as their other Title Track Imaginary Friend releases October 27th (28th Korea) and is like night and day with this song. It has Rock and is my favorite so I have a feeling like me you'll gravitate there.
For me, this song wasn't bad, but it didn't seem to flow. It was kind of "full stop....go". The girls vocals were great, of course. But, all of my favorites have songs that I'm not that crazy about. Well, life is like a box of chocolates - if you leave it in the car in the summer, you get soup. ;)
I'm with you, it wasn't my favorite on first listen. Gold is a grower though, I've heard it a bunch of times now and it hits pretty hard. Still not even close to my favorite on the album though, I would highly recommend the rest of the album. Especially the new songs are great, although the OT5-versions of the Born2Be-tracks are fire as well (I already loved those songs so it wasn't like putting Lia on them could possibly make them worse in any way). If you ever get around to doing a full album listening video or something like that, the GOLD album should absolutely be one of the things you check out. PS. Aespa had a comeback today as well. A mini-album with 6 new songs. The titletrack is called Whiplash: th-cam.com/video/jWQx2f-CErU/w-d-xo.html
We saw that. Coincidentally we recorded a reaction to "Salty & Sweet" this weekend that will be coming soon. It's a live, so it's possible it could have to go on Patreon.
I agree. It's hard to make a decision for this song on just the one play. I must confess that I out of the loop with this group as I sort of lost interest in Kpop around their third title track. The current song sounds fine but hasn't wowed me in just the one Play. I have just played the new release by Aespa called Whiplash. I'm going to now listen to the album. I think I shall add Itzy to listen to all their releases.
Seems like a cross between pop and rap. Interesting, but it seemed a little disjointed, as though they couldn't make up their minds which genre to embrace. Hence, not something I'd want to watch/listen to again, I'm afraid.

Oh boy! LOL Thanks for those. We have recorded several for the next week, but appreciate these. We can have Halloween any time we want, anyway.

Time to head back to aespa coaches 😂. Aespa - whiplash mv released today
Yeah, we actually recorded one for them this weekend (obviously not that one) but it will also be coming soon.
