When this song came out Johnny was a guest on the Arsenio Hall show. During the interview, Arsenio pulled some random lady from the audience and asked Johnny to start singing to her like she was on a first date with him and he was trying to impress her. He got right up in her face, hit the first couple of lines from this song, she turned fifty shades of red and just about fainted on stage. Almost every woman in the place lost it, lol.

In 1992 at a New Year's event in an American barracks in Germany, I danced to this song by Johnny Gill all by myself on the dance floor. In this event hall there was a stage with a DJ playing music and in front of the stage there was a large dance floor, but nobody but me danced. About 800 American people sat at their tables and watched me as I danced on My, My, My. It was wonderful and later most of the Americans danced too of the Soul , R&B and Funk Music.
