In those situations you would take them to the side and talk to them in private ... which goes for nearly all jobs. Unless they were literally playing good cop bad cop and then maybe he would chime in. He didn't seem conflicted at all. He knew the older cop was over the top. The cop escalated things but nearly every single person in the videos on the channel are also actively escalating things be it passive aggressively. I seen one video before a guy doing this sort of thing making sudden movements intentionally when the cop had his gun out. The cop should deescalate things but the other person shouldn't be escalating things either.

Current training focused on the Warrior mentality exacerbates these mentally deficient individuals. My warm & fuzzy memories watching Adam 12 or Dragnet are nowhere to be found. I had an incident with a local business, "I" called the police for assistance. Who was treated as the criminal? Yes, I was the one backed up against me truck with 3 officers in my face. I live in the most prosperous County in Missouri, not a one had the body camera on that we as taxpayers voted and paid for them to wear. This advice I see about having your own camera is valid. I think a camera might be as important as my carry. Maybe we in MO should take advantage of the gun laws here. Anyone can conceal and carry, no license or training needed. One could say doing this is as responsible as giving a gun and Warrior training to a kid (hiring younger) and calling him/her a peace officer without doing the necessary mental tests. We get what we sow. Or is it the plan.

I think the batteries need changing in your crystal ball. The more logical scenario, that is obvious to cops, is that the driver officer is in his last few weeks of street training (called “shadowing”). The training officer is the one remaining quiet. What happens is, the trainee officer (the driver in this video, I’m guessing) will review this performance at the end of their shift. The training officer is there during their last 1 to 2 weeks so that in case it all goes to hell, someone is there who has experience and knows what to do,.
The stuff you guys make up on these videos is incredible. One person says it, then a few thousand follow the blind and say, “Yeah!! Darn right!! That cop was BAD. Bad, bad, bad cop!” Meanwhile, you have no idea what you’re talking about.
