    I purchased a Rode Mic Me-L. One word: AMAZING! I even made a video reviewing it although my channel is all about teaching English! That’s how much I loved it 😅

    Hey Touch Technology Review- I just got my mic in the mail today... do you know of any phone cases which won’t hinder the mic’s plugin? Thanks!

    Thank you for the video. I have one question. I have the Record Stereo sound on iPhone disabled. If I use Rode on Lighting port should I enable it ?

      I believe this model is a mono mic so probably not going to make a difference in sound if you select stereo.

    Doesn't the wind fur get in the way when using the front facing camera?

      It's mounted on the opposite side of the camera so all good there. Just looks weird!

    Would this mic be good for filming car drive bys/ exhaust sound?

    • @Touchtechnologyreview
      @Touchtechnologyreview  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      we'll it depends on how close you are talking. It is s directional mic so that is a good thing for isolating an audio source, however it really works best at distances of only 1-2 meters away.

      @@Touchtechnologyreview do you know any good iPhone mics that would be good for this?

    Is a good idea to use VideoMic Me-L for filming indoor interview of two people from distance 2-3 meters?

    • @Touchtechnologyreview
      @Touchtechnologyreview  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      To be honest this would not be ideal for two people. It would work OK at 1.5 metres but 2-3 it might sound distant. I would suggest a lav mic for each person for optimal sound. Something l ike this. www.sabinetek.com/collections/combined-package

    I was disappointed in the minimal volume difference between the Røde and the iPhone internal mic in your video. The gain boost seemed to solve the problem, but your video mentioned that was achieved using Premiere Pro software. Can I achieve a similar improvement using just my free iMovie app? If not, then I would consider the actual cost of the mic to be higher, since I’d have to pay for editing software in order to get acceptable sound?

      SFoxvideos- iMovie on iPhone or iMac? I know for a fact you can clean up your audio on the iMac version, but the iPhone iMovie probably won’t give you too much luck.

    When I have this on I don’t hear any audio coming from any video

    • @Touchtechnologyreview
      @Touchtechnologyreview  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes that would be right as the lightening port hijacks the audio in and out. So after you record you need to take it off to listen back.

    Hi, can I use this microphone with GoPro 8?

    • @Touchtechnologyreview
      @Touchtechnologyreview  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi there, this microphone has a lightning port connection which won't work with the GO PRO 8. You would need to get a microphone with a regular 3.5mm TRS connection and then use the GOPRO usb to 3.5mm mic adaptor which you may have got with the GO PRO 8 or you may have to purchase separately. You could look at the Rode VideoMic ME rather than the ME-L however you'll need another cable to connect it to the GO PRO. Perhaps you could also look at the BOYA BY-MM1 which is similar and given it includes the right cables should connect to the GOPRO audio adapter. However I haven't tested the sound quality of it so you might want to look up some reviews on it.....Hope this helps
