I miss Darwyn Cooke so much -- got really sad when he died. I have all his hardcover Parker books, plus some promotional material. The last one was a little weak. I've read all the Donald Westlake/Richard Stark Parker stories, because Cooke made me do it. They are awesome and cruel.
Great compiled edition but I do feel the Martini Edition are the ones that do real justice to Darwin’s art though not very pratical to handle or read. Still an amazing piece of comic art.
I've got the four original books; is there a place I can get just the two shorter stories? Maybe one of them was in SLAYGROUND, I can't remember and don't want to go upstairs to look. But the other?
@@blackbeltreads - Yeah, everybody's got so much disposable cash nowadays...do you know where these two stories originally appeared? (and if you said so in the video and I missed it, sorry; it was playing in the background while I made dinner)

I definitely need to read some of the Westlake novels. I love a good crime fiction tale.
Love Darwyn Cooke's art
Me too! It’s such a distinctive style
Thanks for this review. I was on the fence about buying this but revealing that it has sewn binding has made it a must. Great video.
The book is put together very nicely. Glad you liked it!
A modern classic. The Martini Edtiions also conatins a bonus story by Ed Brubaker and Sean Philipps.
Ahh yea it’s a shame it wasn’t included here. Those martini editions are so cool.
I want this collection so bad. Thanks for the video
Thanks for watching! It is a great addition to the collection.

The Martini Edition books are really cool. I definitely would have caved eventually if this collection hadn’t come.

I guess you’ll just have to double dip and upgrade to this complete collection! 😂

I don’t know actually. I couldn’t even find them digitally. They may be part of the Martini Editions
@@blackbeltreads - Ah well. Thanks for your reply!
