    'Why is your mind chattering?'
This channel is managed by the Krishnamurti Foundation Trust, UK, and by the Krishnamurti Foundation of America.
The role of the foundations was described by Krishnamurti when he said, 'The foundations will see to it that these teachings are kept whole, are not distorted, are not made corrupt. They will not give rise to any sectarian spirit in their activities... nor create any kind of place of worship around the teachings or the person.'
We maintain extensive archives of Krishnamurti's original works and all four Krishnamurti foundations are actively engaged in the publication of material in various forms.
Our videos contain thousands of subtitles in more than 25 languages, translated by volunteers from all over the world. If you would like to help us with translating subtitles, please contact us at digital@kfoundation.org

Instead of trying to stop the chattering which will make it worse. Just accept the reality that right now my mind is chattering, and Observe how does it feel when it chatters or is restless. The result is quietness.
Quietness occurs right before the Chase. But we’ve made it a habit to chase or stop instead of Attending.
P.S This comment is to clarify my thinking about what he’s trying to convey.

But isn’t directing your attention still an act of the mind but without agenda this time just pure curiosity. Eventually leading up to realizing you weren’t the director but awareness of a play happening. God that just gave me chills.

@@MrMrperfect123 No way to know anything. It's all speculation. Only thing for certain is that thought is a dead instrument and is destructive in nature. So if you use thought, what a left brain dominant individual uses as a means to understand anything, you must remember that to understand anything requires us to be lost in a world of thought and illusion. We cannot understand anything without language. The right brain does not use language and hence, the left brain, from where our sense of self emerges, has no way of understanding anything. It cannot be expressed in words. Because words are a creation which convey a fragment of what is. You can call it a knowing or awareness or being-ness or whatever else because words don't do justice in the slightest. Do listen to UG Krishnamurti. He is the litmus test for all conditioning. JKs teachings will add up well after checking out UG. Have a nice day. ♥️

The only thing I would reproach to JK is for not being loud or loud enough; Why is it that wonderfully intelligent people are not loud? I can see many Loud People that have nothing really to say!

    • @nangotoman9429
      @nangotoman9429 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

Would it change the meaning of what he is saying? No amount of loud can be louder than a confused mind, so there is no need to be louder, but clearer and more precise, soft and loving.

I came here to try & understand what's happening to me, to my mind...& this has given me some kind of clarity, though the only time I experience mind chatter, is when it's extreme, it's almost constant, during/after a state of quite deep depression.
The first time it happened many years ago, it frightened me as I couldn't switch off from it, it was a constant dialog of chatter, like commentary.
Through my depression, I realised that I had nothing else to think about, as i'd lost interest in almost everything & life felt very uneventful, very boring. I'd lost interest in all the things I previously found interesting, exciting & worthy.
After alot of stresses in life this past 2 years, i've unfortunately gone back into a depression & the same feelings, plus recently this mind chatter, which at times i've found very dibilatating. Luckily, as much as I don't like it, theres only been a few times were it's overwhelmed me, which has made me panic.
In my first episode of it many years ago, it was so constant that I had to play loud music much of the time, to drown it out.
I'm hoping that, as I come out of my depression & I gain back interests in things, in life...it will again subside.
My understanding is that it comes on with me, when my mind is empty of thought, of what is usually my interests, yes even washing up & daily tasks.
I call it an empty head & mind, that requires something to do...so it chats, mind chatter.
I hope that this is understood to the professionals here & maybe helps others.
Thank you & all the best to all.

The chattering is the "I" it's part of the illusion because it's illusionary of itself. Mind is thought wondering what it is.

When I pay attention to my mind's chattering,it immediately vanishes. Maybe because the same faculty is being used for chattering and paying attention. But again, when I study it comes.

Your mind is chattering because of repressed emotions the actions and words you didn’t say or do when situation was there for it . Start to live with full authenticity and honesty and say what you feel and confront if needed right at the spot.
