The outer shell gets crud/dirty fuel trapped in it anyhow. We can always replace our pump filter kit if we start to pick up dirt. So my question is, how deep was it into your dremeling that you found the black stuff? I believe I only need to dremel out a small bit of the plastic to make my 400 fit with the outer shell in place.
So at the top of the fuel pump housing, that area is semi-circled. You have to make it a full circle, in order to fit the pump, wires hose, and clamp(don't forget your gotta clamp this thing. I definitely went too far, but I don't see how I could have avoided that, except dremel out at an angle.
@@reesescars6871 yea I don't see why it would matter otherwise as long as the pump is stable, and able to pull the fuel straight up. Clamping it to the sides in the holder/bucket seems to be the way to go. I may just do that to start with instead of trying to make it oem. Hell nobody sees it lol!
My Brother helped explain relays to me in an easy way. Pretty much what you are doing is powering the relay directly from your battery with the relay between whatever your powering allowing the relay to open and close for your accessories your trying to control with the relay.
Definitely no need to apologize. There aren't many people like you who help with our mods. Everything you do helps! It's greatly appreciated!
thanks Brother.
Good vid as usual, following you and CGNL.
Much appreciated!
Why should the relay be modified?
Is it mandatory with a 450L/H?

that's correct! You can actually even add a switch, or led to the it, but that's adds a layer of complication. Complication I don't need.
By chance do you might have a link on where you got your enteral relay kit or wiring to do this job?
That stuff I bought at a local store. You can find them on eBay or Amazon.
Hey quick question for you, did you run the larger gauge wire directly from the relay to the fuel pump or did you use the oem connector?
I used the OEM connector on n the outside of the assembly. But inside I soldered the wires.
Excellent
I might want to change to this pump and ditch the dw pump. I like the reliability of the walbro vs dw. LOL, yea yea i know
Hey Bro, great vid. I got a little one 😜 .. 255
