Great review, my man... LOVE this set!!! IMO, Hawaiian Punch has a nice balance with fantastic bass and great treble. This is a straight-up basshead IEM but has a surprisingly diverse list of music genres it plays well with (EDM, Hip-hop, Funk, Pop, Jazz, Classic Rock, Metal, Movie OSTs, even some classical, etc). Highly rec'd!
@@Jaytiss My set just showed up today about an hour after watching your video. So far I am really impressed, will likely be selling off my Maestro Mini set now (the first basshead set I bought opn HBBs rec)
Great review Jay. What I like most about your videos is how you go through comparisons with others with their graphs and explain the differences et al I bought the Punch the day of, 11/11. I was between Mega5EST Bass+ and Punch but didn't know the price of the latter until its 11/11 release. Once I saw the price was almost double, choosing a Punch was a no-brainer The only thing was how long it took to find tips that jived with it and I found the cable kinda meh. SE was the only option att and Punch do want that 4.4 power 🤙🏻
The IEMs with EST drivers are the best IEMs to my ears. I am a huge fan of the MEGA5-ESTs. I politely suggest they are the best IEMs one can get under $1k. they are sublimely great especially at high volume when doing 420. I feel the HBB Punch, and the MEGA5-EST bass + would be the way to go if someone is closer to a bass head. I love the expertise of Jaytiss, and other reviewers, and the sound tastes of your ears varies. I hope you are safe from the fires Southern California Jaytiss.
Great review! The Punch is a very interesting set and I think most people will like it, but personally I am more to the tuning of Volume S or Tea Pro, or even the P5+2
The Punch has the same DD as the $1600 Jupiter. They really messed up with that price. The Punch is a marvel for bassheads for the price. Very smooth, never sibilant for me. Lovely clear treble and pleasing mids. The bass is what we need. Kiwi Ears and HBB killed it. Great review. You need to get a set for yourself.
During the 11/11 sale i say that was $385 with coupon on aliexpress, while i got my Tea Pro for $285. If i hadnt gotten other sets and cables then i probably woulda got the Punch, but I also dont like buying in to preorders. Especially after the whole Duece fiasco. Luckily i didnt grab that set either
Missed two comparisons with the punch, hope you can reply to this: (1) Maestro Mini - similar driver config and graph (2) Deuce - cheaper way to get HBBs sound with a company known for solid bass. Is it worth paying double for the Punch? Or is the sound signature effectively different? I own the Deuce and similarly to your brief comment at the end, I do feel that depending on the track and/or mastering, the bass becomes overdone. It’s either distracting, sometimes just jarring, and sometimes it does become a bit muffled. I don’t know if the punch goes for a slightly different target, or if it just executes the same thing way better. Graphs don’t tell the full story.
Maestro mini is bad, I don’t like it at all. Duece is ok but too much sub bass. I’d go Dynaquatro for bass head at 200ish. Also dynaquatro is on Amazon.
Hello hello...i got my tea pro for a month and had to sell it.. loved to some parts of the tuning...but icant accept the boosted lower tteble and upper treble on tea pro. Because im really sensitive with treble Currently holding my breads after i sold my tea pro, and im stucked between getting mega5est bass or this. Is punch softer treble compare to tea pro ? Thank youuu
When you say trebble what areas do you mean? It really depends on what you are senstivive to. Have you tried something like the Crinacle X Dusk or Aful Explorer?
How does this compare to the ThieAudio Origin? I noticed that you had the Punch up just a bit higher on the ranking sheet. Does the price-to-performance/value play a role, or is the Punch just better overall independent of price?
I like the punch. I find is a strong fun iem that is very impressive. If you want a bassy set that can work as an all arounder then the Punch is the way to go. If you want an exclusivly interesting fun set then the Origin is a good way to go. Very different sets for different people. The resolution and details aka imaging my ranking list isn't as good. It's a wide fun set. I think Bone conduction iems somewhat ruin iems, and I'm not a massive fan of them in general.
@@Jaytiss Thanks for the reply! I've been kind of torn between the 2 on which to make my endgame-for-now set. It seems like the Punch is worth buying over the origin, especially if it's pretty much half the cost. I've never tried any set with bone-conduction so I don't have an opinion on it. Does it add some type of haptic/tactile sensation that corresponds to whatever its tuned to accentuate in a track?
Oh boy. There are just too many good IEMs that it's basically becoming a choice of tuning preference. I got the Studio 4, and I'm waiting for Volume S. I would have got the Punch if i didnt buy the Deuce already (which I'm still waiting to arrive since October...)
I'm pretty new to IEMs and the community. Mostly everyone I've interacted with and every review channel I've felt nothing but positive experience. Is there a reason my comment and request for advice, does not get any response or reply? I watch many channels for reviews and I've watched lots of reviews on your channel too I even subscribed. Thanks for your time, help and advice. Cheers
@@Jaytiss Hi, I appreciate your time and reply. I know youtube videos/reviews take lots of effort to record, upload edit etc... love your review method man.... this comparing thing is the best way to discuss/judge by relative analysis...others reviewers need too compare more...

Glad you enjoy!

How would you compare the bass of the mini maestro to the punch? @@Jaytiss
Been looking forward to hearing about these, just started the video, excited!

Same!
Fantastic review! Thanks as always! I also can't wait for your review of the Europa, it's one of my favorites!
Such a good set. Really so few reviews on it.
Thank you Jaytiss for the Explorer recommendation. I think it will be my next add.
It's crazy good for the price. Just get it when it's on offer to make the deal even sweeter!
Love the L/R indicators. The graph looks nice as well.
Nice bass head set for the price.
I like how the top of the faceplate's glitter is red or blue to denote L/R.
That is cool, I didn't really think of that.

I can see that. I do think it's ok, and judging cables is hard. I've seen cables on 1000 sets be trash.

Would be nice. Someone promised me one.
For me more manufactures should provide bass switches and custom fit shells
I love the idea of bass switches.
btw, any cheaper/budget option (under 100ish bucks) with similar tuning as Punch or megabass est bass, etc. thanks
Explorer.
@@Jaytiss don't you think Explorer bass shelf is too low as compared the ones I have mentioned??? how about EW300?
Hope you can find a pair of Symphonium Audio Titans to review

Glad to know its close to the mega5 bass. I was looking at it pretty hard but already have the punch
It's very similar.
Jupiter is a fing sick set. I have one thanks to HBB.
I remember that for your kid! So cool.
@@Jaytiss I have to do a review.. its been a hell of a year. One of the best IEMs for sure.
What's the size difference between the Monarch MKIII and the HBB Punch? Love the monarchs the nozzles are just a little uncomfortable at times.
I think the punch are smaller.
The punch are tiny by comparison. The Punch is so small the tragus/antitragus catch doesn't even work in my ears.

Edit: already have the explorer but the midbass is lacking for me. The sub and treble is perfect.

@Jaytiss I haven't ... Maybe around 5k-7k..and around 13k. I haven tried both of em. For reference I think I like ISN Neo 5
80% of potential buyers will prefer Punch over Braindance just cuz of tuning

Different sound signatures, I think Punch has a better technical performance, but Odyessy has a beter tune.

Yeah, but comparing the bass head set instead to 4 meta-tuned?
would have gotten one if it wasnt so incredibly ugly and tasteless
The faceplate kinda killed it for a lot of people.
