Such a good teacher, you never say "this is the way it should be done". You say "this is the way I do it & here is why I do it this way". You teach by example & leave it to the viewer to decide if they also agree. I think you are fantastic, thank you!
14:29 there are ready-made mounting plates with 6mm screws installed. They are called euro-screws and they have threaded section followed by a smooth narrower neck. Once you screw them all the way in inside a pre-drilled standard 5 mm hole, you reach the neck section, which allows you to easily move the plate up and down. To make it more clear, checkout the Blum 173L8100 part. Similar plates can be found from other manufacturers.
6:26 hint: just push a straight piece of a laminated board or any other straight edged piece of wood against the flat sides of the hinge caps, and they will auto-align. You then drill the pilot holes and screw-in the screws. You might want to use a self centering drill bit as well to speed up the process.
Thank you for a simple explanation of drilling hinge holes without all the special and astronomical engineering many use in here to show how to drill a hole and mainly advertising the product
Hello! You did it but based on my experience I think you have maybe choosen more complicated apporoach. Usually you don't mount it all together but you mount separatelly the plate and separatelly the 35mm hinge. You mark the spot for the 35mm hinge than make the holes and than put both hinges in the holes and than push the long straight board or ruler against the straight part of the hinge - it is self oriented in that way (try it, you'll see what I'm talking about).
No, I think they won't work for inset doors. Because due to the position of the door, in inset doors the distance from the edge of the board to install the mounting plate of the cup hinge is bigger.
Very helpful, but the left hand hinge cup is off center and there is a gap between the hinge and the hinge cup. This is not a job that I think I could do.
this plastic jig should provide where to drill for the cup and at the same time the screws, you don't have to drill the 35 mm hole then use the hinge to locate where to drill for the screws, isn't it?
I'm not sure if they sell it outside the European Union. But by searching the internet for a jig to install cup hinges you will surely find it, or at least similar models. Just make sure it serves to install the model and size of cup hinges you want to install.

It's very easy way of assemble door hinges
Nice video
Nice job. I suggest to use two same jigs to ensure that the door is perfectly parallel.
Yes, having another jig would help to align the door with the shelf. Thank you very much 😀
Finally a tutorial step by step. Thank you very much now I can install with confidence. BEST VIDEO SO FAR!
Looks very good
Ist a nice jig. Well done. 👍
Yes it is. And it is very easy to use 😀

Clear instructions. the 35mm hole is21.5mm away from the edge, the hinge holder has a setback of 37mm, as seen on your jig.
Nice video

Why make a mark with a pencil first.. Why not use a nail directly to make the mark

bpavo special informetion!

Would the jig in the description work for inset doors or only the ones show? Thanks for the subtitles as well.

Dónde comprar está plantilla ,gracias .
Nice video. Where can l buy the tool?
Plastic spacer thickness?
Very helpful, but the left hand hinge cup is off center and there is a gap between the hinge and the hinge cup. This is not a job that I think I could do.
I love the video but you have to get rid of those gloves
Good tutorial video..but your screw driver is so short it feels awkward for me.
Thanking for speaking in English!
Thanks for watching 😀

Not with the cup hinges jig that I use in this video. I have to use the hinge to locate the position of the screws to the side of the cup
Where can I buy this jig please?

@@WoodworkingwithDIYtools OK luckily I have a home in Spain 🇪🇸 😁
