I have some telescopic ramps and they are just TOO hard for me to use...I have, but they leave me in tons of pain, and I actually cut the tip of my thumb off in one of the little holes where the button pops in to lock them in place. I got myself a folding ramp that is so much easier to use. Additionally - any ramps where they are narrow like a track, is very hard for me to use, I have driven my chair right out of the track and almost dropped it to the ground. I have Ehlers-Danlos syndrome and I am minimally ambulatory, and they are just too hard for me...if an able bodied person is loading/unloading your chair for you maybe these would work.

I purchased some telescoping ones at Harbor Freight for around 100.00.
They were just too hard for me to unslide. I've had 3 hand surgeries, in addition to my leg and back mobility issues. I returned them because they were also way too heavy and way too sharp.

Sorry but you don't need the electric, it would not go in, you can plainly see the controls would not go under the top of the door. the seat would fold down close to going in but not sure you did not show that. would be better if the ramp was more narrow as the front wheels were turning sideways.try getting a suv that has a larger opening.

tom Hancock he is just showing you an example of how the ramp can be used with a power wheelchair as well!

I have an electrical chair which weights 28K. I have the very same ramps as these (even to length) I don't fully understand how a ramp is needed for what's surely a light-weight manual wheelchair which would collapse to some degree and, surely, if ramps are used, when one would think an attendant would need to assist the disabled party it could be lifted in. I noticed that the manual wheelchair had a set of anti-tip wheels and to the benefit of these ramps they don't get in the way at any point in this exercise whilst on the ramps; believe me, that is a blessing. The minor 'turning of the small wheels' up front of the wheelchair, this is hardly an issue; he needed to spread the ramps further apart to create more room for them and that would become second nature with repeated use.
Next the small, electric wheelchair: Would anyone know what the weight comes in at? I'd say a lot heftier than my wife's 28kg wheelchair. In any case, It seems to work quite well at the offset of this demo of the ramps. This wheelchair also has anti-tip wheels at the rear. They don't get in the way at the start of the run, but as the chair begins to run parallel to the ramps it actually runs clear (but only just) and isn't in the way because it's higher than the ramp side. However, as it reached the top it once again enters the channel but still appears to fit; still, it's not perfect. But it should be said that the left-side main, rear drive wheel skids at the very top, 'flicking' or 'skidding' causing the wheelchair to lose control of itself on the ramp somewhat and I'm not sure this would be considered a safe operation to those who are in the trade who might say this could be construed as a health and safety hazard; more-so if this demonstration is shown to us by the disable person. The downwards run seems without a problem.
I have NO idea why the demonstrator wants to prop the ramps (and the weight of the electric wheelchair) directly onto the rear bumper; it makes me cringe just seeing him doing that. I short length of dense foam on the actual boot floor will both increase the height a little bit whilst stopping the ramps tearing up the tops of the rear bumper (Ouch!!)

It is not for riding the chair into the car. It is for loading an empty chair.
