I think for this one they should’ve updated the mold for a pinless look plus better proportions and fixing the arms. Should’ve been a definitive version for this character.

I only started collecting MCU figures a year ago, so I'm the guy who's happy for this lol. A lot of figures I'm just waiting for the next movie version to grab, but with characters like T'Challa this helps!
The best suit he had (even though he effectively only had two) and this figure is aesthetically still way better than the BP Movie one.
Agreed I've always felt the black panther movie figure was too skinny
Tbh I prefer just the black suit black panther instead of the purple grow affect one idk it just looks more clean

I got it because I missed the other one and I'm disappointed after seeing how weak the paint is on the vibranium suit version so I'm going to have to chase down the old baf wave, I love that version of killmonger in the tactical gear.
9:01 Put him with your What If...? figures. He wore this suit in the Killmonger episode. I know you don't mix parts, but you could also try doing a head swap with the animated T'Challa head.

I still have the Civil War release, so I really didn't need this figure. However, after watching the trailer for "Wakanda Forever" I caved and bought it. 🤦♂
Overall, for a figure that is over 6 years old it still holds up. Also, the addition of fists (while minimal) is at least a nice touch for display options. I do think the Walmart exclusive spot should've gone to the original Okoye figure, because like M'Baku that was also a BAF. Though considering we are getting a new Okoye figure in the Wakanda Forever wave, I could understand why they decided not to.
I do wish this wave came with a little more besides minor tweaks and updated paint apps. I would've liked minor accessories like claw-slashing or vibranium shockwave effect parts. However, like you said this is more for those who missed out on the releases the first few times around.

I mean they could’ve changed the necklace and made the middle one shorter like it is in the movie and not have it too long

The Black Panther figure is the same one from Civil War and the other from 2018.
I’m pretty happy about this release. I really wanted the civil war one but never got to get it so when the second one came I got that. Sadly that one broke on me about a year or 2 ago so this one will probably be coming to me soon

I put my existing one side by side with the new one and was incredibly challenged to find ANY difference.
I think the problem with this figures arms is that the biceps are inverted.
Ok 4 months later let me say i was way confused when I saw this video. I had the new purple vibranium version and chased down the pink version i was at Walmart tonight and found this laying in a DC 4" bin and was like wth is this? So yeah i missed the first one so im so glad I found this. Ive seen the purple one in every Walmart for 6 months but never this one. I just gave my 2nd unopened purple vibraniun version to my cousin for Christmas yesterday and he was so happy. So yeah i was confused and totally glad i found it and ifk if I want to open it or not. Thanks for clearing up the confusion 👍

Man, I just got my 3rd Black Panther too, the Chadwick Boseman one, I have 3 Marvel Earth's. So, while it looks good, I just don't need it now. Same situation as Dr. Strange figures. Last year I needed 3 Dr. Strange, and we got 3 different Dr. Strange figures. So, when the Dr. Strange movie Wave came out I didn't need any Dr. Strange figures.
Luckily, I got this figure as my first Black Panther figure, so I’m fine getting this one. lol

They should make tony Starks parents, Wanda’s kids, peter Parker’s aunt, miles morales dad, my mom, and all of the extras from crowd scenes in all of the mcu movies.
I suspect the reasoning for these re-releases are mainly for those who missed these figures earlier. BP figures were in *massive* demand after the 2018 film. We'll see if the sequel with Shuri as lead garners the same outcome... extremely doubtful 😑

@@MCUcollector24 sometimes, or gamestop, but there's not even a pre-order for it so IDK if it'll even arrive. We've already gotten the rest of the wave
M’Baku was late to come up for us too. Target is doing a preorder online, but it was already found in store before the preorder started. Maybe similar situation for you guys up there
