Hey, I just wanted to say that your video was so good that it felt like I was watching one of those big TH-cam channels with tons of subscribers. The cinematic shots just elevated the video even more, and it made the whole video look professional. When I went to subscribe, I was surprised to see that you only had a few subscribers! Keep up the great work, I know you'll make it big someday!
my alcatel 2003's screen broke a couple months ago and it's great. you can make and receive calls, it records all calls which you may listen to by plugging into a computer, and you cannot do anything else with it, not even texts, as the screen is all messed up. the only thing i miss is gps navigation, that would save time
Good for you, I thinking about this a lot but... Last autumn I was in Korea and Japan a I would be totaly lost without a map in my pocket. Honestly the main reason I did not ditch the smart phone yet is maps.
An easy entry for this if you need your smartphone for work or whatever, get a flip phone as a weekend phone, and only give that number only to those you'd call in case of emergency
Do it. Be afraid. It is actually fun to feel things. See where it takes you. Like asking someone out, man that is scary. But the rush afterwards and the proud feeling you get that you actually did something.
same boat my friend, i use something called nokia 800 tough, only for phone calls, texting and very incovenient browsing discipline is not for me , if i deleted aps i'd reinstall them after some time, currently checking thing like light phone 3, because sometimes i need to send and receive pictures
yeah I find that if you can save that discipline for other (more important) areas of life than that is a good move. I also am interested in the light phone, but I'm seeing how long this flip lasts me.
I kinda had a reverse intro to it I've had a nokia phone since I was in 5th grade (the nokia that looks like a soap bar) It was my grandma's and someone pointed out it looks like a soap bar so she no longer liked it and gave it to me My parents eventually got me my first phone in junior year and I got obsessed with that thing I am very conscious of myself so I knew it had to stop I always have my soap with me I got myself a sherlock holmes clock and a digital camera and today I'm going to buy an e-reader! I have strict parents so I can't go out much having social media made me fee closer to the outside world But I'm way better off without it! I'm in senior year now lol and my dear soap is right next to me as it has always been for the last 8 years and I LOVE snake xenzia my favorite game ever 😍
You're right in that these phones are attention traps, but the better answer is to develop discipline and mastery and control your negative aspects, and not just remove it. If you can control your shadow, THEN you will develop mastery. Removing temptation is a good first step, but thats the midwit answer, the true way to to have a phone, and not let it control you.

Haha that's awesome!! And yes GPS is one of the things I use my old smartphone for. For some reason could never get it to work on the flip.
It’s scary how much this video resonates with me
Glad we can relate!

thank you! yeah maps is the one thing I keep my old smartphone around for. made the mistake of traveling without maps, it was a wild time.
i wish i could do this too, but im afraid..
@sandoraferuumi it's a big change but honestly not that scary!
Same I feel like it’s a given but if not, you guys should really check out reject convenience. His videos are really good.

very very interesting, thank you for sharing, looking into it!
i’ve been wanting the 902kc/903kc for so long but switching cell providers is sm work T-T
Yeah it would suck to have to switch, big hassle. I live in Canada, and use Telus. Had no issues thankfully
what phone is that? I've been thinking of getting a dumb phone for awhile but I dont want to completely disconnect it from the internet

a good friend of mine also went that route. has an ipod and an e-reader, he's thriving! Glad to hear this works for you too:)

integrate negative aspect, not reject them, i hear you man. that is why i still use these technologies but in a more moderated way.
