While these switches are good for PC gaming for shooters, these aren't good for fighting games if they are to be used on Hitboxes. Playing fighting games for many years, actuation distance doesn't really matter for speed because what is important that we feel the feedback of the button when it bottoms out before making a sequence of moves. The weight of the springs are more important than the actuation distance and even at 40gf these are heavy. Typically Sanwa/Qanba buttons are only 20-30gf and when we use hitboxes which uses keyboard switches, what we look for are shorter distance travel and lighter buttons. This is why Kailh Speed Silvers are best for gaming, they are low profile and their total travel distance are short and close to the board which helps you slide your fingers when doing motion moves, springs are often modified to make it feel lighter like arcade buttons. Full-sized switches that are best for hitbox is the Leobog Graywood which comes installed on Haute42 controllers because of their 30gf weight. 40gf doesn't cut it, it can be used for PC shooters, but in competitive fighting games they must be lighter often times we cut 1-2mm off the springs to make it even lighter
Put those in my epomaker rt100! THEY ARE AMAZING and super super responsive love to play CS and other shooters with them. Had some Epomaker shadow black to test aswell but the Akko are sooooo much faster and responsive you even think about touching a key and it klicks. My keyboard came preinstalled with epomaker wysteria tactile switches and i didnt know the real difference in gaming witch taticle vs linear... Just felt bad in gaming like very slow and heavy movement. Since i changed to linears games feel crisp and responsive again!
@@PrestonsThoughts out of all of the Akko switches you have tried do you have any recommendations for the deepest? I am making a budget build, my main board has Gateron Oil Kings and they are perfect but for the budget board I’m considering either Akko Piano v3 or Gateron Milky Yellows
@@PrestonsThoughts idk if you know the EPOMAKER Th80 pro, but if you do what do you think I can do to get them to sound close enough to what you used to test this switch if I intend on getting it
Sorry for asking, but I like to keep my hand always on the keyboard while I'm playing. Could it be that this can lead to light keystrokes and get, so to speak, phantom presses. I just have a gaming keyboard now and I've encountered the problem of phantom presses, this is especially noticeable while writing, when the same letter is pressed twice, although there was only one press, or there was no press, but due to the presence of my finger on the button it was counted. In general, the switches in this keyboard weigh 45 grams (travel before actuation 1.8) and for this reason I'm thinking of getting Black switches, which will be heavier. In general, the essence of the question is that if I've encountered such a problem as phantom presses, is it better for me to get black switches or do silver switches not have this feature? ( Im playing League and Valorant so gaming switches sounds good, haha )
Awesome review! Would you say these sound on par with the akko rose reds? RR's have been my go to for gaming switches but I'd like to try these. I just worry that the sound would be a little too different?
What should I get? I’m debating on: - AKKO V3 Cream Yellow Pro - AKKO V3 Cream Black Pro - AKKO V3 Silver Pro Which one should I get? I used to have a Red Switch Keyboard but had to buy a new one cuz it broke. I now bought the same keyboard (RK61) but in came with Brown Switches because it was on sale. Which one should I get from the 3 Switches I mentioned? I want to try something different than Red Switches BUT would give me almost the same experience.
I originally came from razers optical red switches and, while I was comfortable with them. I noticed I would accidentally tap the space bar during some moments in FPS's that would cause me issues. I've been using AKKO V3 Cream Yellow Pro's for the last week and while they are very nice sounding, I feel a bit of the heaviness especially during heavy gaming sessions. Sometimes my hands would have that clam feeling as if I was working my hand out more. Over time I'm sure I will get used to them, but I will be purchasing AKKO V3 Silver Pro as I think that's a middle-ground of what I'm truly looking for. They arrive Monday, I'll keep you posted.
@@yaboyjohn9977 I forgot to reply earlier. I’m sticking with the Silvers. Took only a small amount of time to get adjusted to but definitely less heavy feeling than the yellow pros. They are my perfect sweet spot, even comparing to the optical reds from Razer I was using for years.
I don’t understand; why the heck the official Akko website says that this switch is 40g±5g and the box shown in this video says 40g±10g??? And not that, if you pay attention to the force graph, the line is practically reaching 60g bottom out force?? What??!!! I was going to buy some of these switches because they are supposed to be “very light” but now I don’t know what to believe lol
±means measurement error. this is just based around whatever measurement tool they used. the numbers on their site is probably from a tool that has a 5g margin of error, and the numbers on the box has a 10g margin of error, however in both scenarios they measured it to be 40g. bottom out force is just the maximum force it can hold without being able to move any further, the actuation force is more important in terms of lightness.
What's the life span of these switches? My taps/key press are heavy during gameplay. Cheap OEM's don't last long. (obviously cause they're cheaply made.)
These are slightly thockier and sturdier I believe, being 5 pin switches, and some boards can’t even use 5 pin switches because they only support 3 pin hotswap
Nh mate I have both of them but cs silvers are clacky more than thocky But cs silver pro is thocky and fast So i recommend getting these over the cs silvers

It sounds like building in lego video games
sounds amazing, perfect for gaming. Marvelous switches.
what keyboard are you using?
Portico68 Black Label 😎
Are these switches snappy, like can you tap fast, is the return upstroke snappy?
I would say so, but that is very much of a personal thing so I might but you might not think that
Do you prefer these, or the Piano v3? Which would you say is thockier / deeper sounding?
Both aren't that deep sounding but pianos are deeper

Nope 😎
