Here's an update on a few of my Serissas The Serissa foetida is also called snowrose, tree of thousand stars or Japanese boxthorn. #Snowrose #Serissafoetida #Serissa
Great video Euan. People often get serrisas as their first bonsai here in the UK and end up killing them as they are ao fussy. It looks like you've cracked it! These look super healthy
Holy shite, 90% of that plant is gone lol. I'm just learning and was completely shocked as I had thought the first one was a beautiful shape to start with.
Hi, I bought a sérissa about 22-25 years 2 month ago, there's many new branches that grow on the base's roots, I already cut many to start new bonsai, but there's always new ones growing, do I have to cut them all and keep the bases's roots clean ? thanks...
Yeah I get the suckers growing too, and keep pruning mine back. Could keep them if in a good location but I tend to find they grow from strange locations 😅
I just bought my first bonsai A snow Rose frim a speciality Plant store and i fear i may have been over watering it as i was told to water it every day Enough for there to be water Draing from the bottom Im experienced with most plants Just not bonsai
Great timing!! I just bought an overgrown serissa from a nursery and needed some inspiration. Thanks!
Sounds like you’re in for some fun!

Hahaha yeah thankfully they grow back even better 😊 bonsai is a fun journey to get in on, and sooo much to learn and keep learning 😅
Agreed. It looked butchered afterwards.

Yeah really depends on the conditions; mine like daily water but they’re in pretty full sun so dry out fast
