The woman in the pink was brushing Rising Star's face so hard, you can see Rising Star did not like it. Sometimes it seems you are treating them as commodities and you only think you like them.

Just so everyone understands, Yvonne bought RS. Not that it wasn't a generous gesture by Janet. I'm guessing she gave her a very fair price when she probably could have sold him for a LOT of money. Thank you, Yvonne for allowing RS to stay in the family, though I'm sure you couldn't imagine him anywhere else.

Ah last we knew RS was reserved, if I remember correctly, as a weanling. I imagine janet stepped in or was the reservee.
Does it matter if she bougt him or got him as a gift? Dont think so. Janet could have sold him for a lot more money if she sold him to anyone else, but she'll understand the importance for Yvonne and all viewers on TH-cam. RS and the story about how he got there touched so many people all over the world and now it will continue.

I was crying then when Janet gave Rising Star to Yvonne I guess she bought him soooo happy.
I never saw this one coming, Penny! The caption said Janet that RS should stay with Yvonne and she found a way to make that possible. Rein was there with the notebook binder of documentation and knew what was happening. Maybe he bought RS for Yvonne as a Christmas bonus.
The caption did say Yvonne bought RS, but she seemed genuinely surprised, didn't she? Maybe Janet and Rein "worked out the details," so to speak. Take care!

When I first started reading Rising Star is sold......i suddenly had a pit in my throat and now my eyes are all wet. Not for happiness, it's like losing my baby I so faithfully watch Rising Star from a baby and Uniek being a faithful mom to Rising Star. I could not watch this video. Can't say good bye RS, just good luck. It hurts. I prefer to see RS there all the time and to watch him grow. RS still looked so young to leave it's mom.

I am thrilled and so happy, no more tears of sadness that Rising Star was sold and leaving, instead tears of joy that he remains with Yvonne the new owner and his adopted mother Queen Uniek. Thank God there are people like Janet who are a blessing and loving and compassionate. So now Yvonne has both Mother and son as hers wonderful.
It would be really nice if Yvonne could keep him as a stallion (though probably not possible with all the Friesians) to give Janet back a daughter of Rising Star n the future since she lost her lovely mare.

I recently lost my 16 chestnut Hanovarian due to a freak accident. Watching Rising Star and Queen Uniek has brought me much joy when I have been sad over losing my boy. I cried when I saw the title of the video but thought there might be a wonderful ending. I kept crying when I saw that he was staying and becoming a permanent part of the family. I am so happy for you, Yvonne, Uniek and, especially, Rising Star. I think we are all looking forward to watching him grow up and see how far he can go training with you.

Yvonne was doing so well hiding the sadness of Risy leaving but then the look of shear joy and happiness when she found she wouldn't be saying goodbye to him still brings a tear to my eyes
I am amazed at the constraint Yvonne demonstrates. She was crying when Star was stillborn but she carries on.. very consistent and loving and level-headed. This is another huge cosmic gift to Yvonne for all she has invested. Omgosh!!

I'm so happy that Rising Star is staying with Yvonne. However, it's not really surprising to me that she would purchase him. After all, she would have had her own colt had Star lived. So it totally makes sense for her to keep Rising Star, and I think it may have been her desire to keep him all along. But the decision was truly up to RS's previous owner Janet and I'm glad she knew that Stal G (and Yvonne) was the best place for him.

When Queen Uniek accepted RS so quickly, to me, it felt like RS had assumed Star's spirit. It was such a touching moment. Now, today, I cried again. Such a beautiful moment.
Oh my gosh I really thought he was leaving! I know that is the business, but it just felt too young! So pleased that he can stay on the farm with Uniek and you too Yvonne! I read the caption and was heartbroken for mom Uniek. It would have been too much for me to think she thought she was losing another baby. I just saw their videos yesterday & then this popped in my feed today. So for me it's only been 2 days of loving their "united story." I was so not ready for a separation story lol
I don't understand why you would sell the foul so soon? It must have been very hard on her adoptive momma!
When you showed the clip of little foal rising star, I cried. It was such an emotionally difficult time. And knowing Uniek and RS had each other to help go through grief was such a blessing. But I knew the day would come when he would return to his owner and he would be sold. But this is very tender. I know he will be weaned and in time maybe used to breed and be sold. But for now, he is family. It has been a hard year for so many of us. These videos have helped us cope and find some joy in the natural creation.
Janet, you are a very tender and generous soul. We appreciate what you have done. And we are sorry you have had a loss of RS's mother. But you managed to make the best of a difficult situation. May you be blessed as you have blessed us. Thank you. So touching.
Very well said, Dachdog! We come to love these horses and still care for them if they are sold, wondering how they are doing. Loved seeing the clip of Rising Star when he came to Stal G! We could see how much he's grown and how happy and healthy he is.

Looking at this again for Yvonne. This time, I noticed that Janet had a grin the moment they started the video. She was as excited as we were to see these two stay together. It’s been a sweet journey watching Uniek and Risey together with Yvonne and the Stal G gang!

She knows what we all know, that Risy belongs at Stal G with his human and his equine families. Oh happy day!!! At first I was so sad and upset to see him go. I couldn’t believe we wouldn’t see him again. Then the joy and jubilation that he was gifted to Yvonne and staying with the herd! It brought tears to my eyes.

Yes, Janet is truly a kind and giving person. Sadly, she had to part with Rising Star's mother so she has already felt the terrible grief of separation. Clearly, she understands the grief that Uniek, Rising Star's second mother would feel if he was taken away from her at this point. Of course, we now know that Uniek had a second stillbirth and to my eye it seems to have saddened her soul.

I am glad the parties involved of this sale saw it in their hearts to keep these two horses together. The story of these two is still not finished. I look forward to see how this little horse grows up and how he fits in to the herd.
He wouldn't fit into the herd unless they gelded him because the herd is all mares since Stal G is a breeding stable. Otherwise, as a stallion he would try to cover the mares, which is not supposed to happen.
Rising Star might not have a Friesian girlfriend in the future but he will have a good life.
He is so popular that he can start his own stud farm - with him being the only stud in the farm. The “Rising Star Stud Farm “ - it has good ring to it.

Rising Star will be a lovely riding horse - and every barn needs at least one blazing chestnut horse to put some colour in amid all those black dapples! I will really enjoy watching RS gradually grow up with the Friesians. Congratulations, Yvonne!
