Sorry to hear your back is still acting up. I hope your back heals quickly! I had my back tweaked a few months ago and I found an acupuncturist who worked wonders for me. I highly recommend it. My back pain went away completely after a couple of sessions.
Your Bones Book Tag made me want to rewatch the series so I'm now about to finish season 1 and it's great and also surprising because of all the characters that I consider core to the series that apparently show up later on (I had 0 recollection of Cam's predecessor as head of the Institute. And even though I did remember that Sweets didn't show up until a couple of seasons in, I need him to get here already!). Good luck with your november reading plans!
such a fun TBR. I need to set aside more time for Perhaps the Stars once again. It has been only a weekend book for too long. hope your hamstring tendys heal up. I also can't believe that I have been on the hold list for Jasmine Throne's audio for almost 12 weeks now, but it seems fitting for my reading year.
I’m on season 11 of my (fourth? Maybe?) rewatch of bones which I started in May and it’s such a comfort show! I watch it when I do my sciatica stretches so hopefully it has healing powers? I hope your leg/back/body problems start to ease up for you soon!
Hahaha welcome to my reading life where I do one at a time and just hop formats depending on where I am between immersion and audio xD SO ready for the Lotus Empire. Just finished my reread of Oleander Sword and I forgot how unresolved literally EVERYTHING is at the end of that one.........
I’m glad you’re getting to the source of that injury and making progress. I’m currently about to finish a supernatural horror novel I’m really enjoying, Naomi’s Room, and I’m listening to Lincoln in the Bardo.
Yeah, my enjoyment of it has definitely taken a downward turn in the latter half of the book. I could do without all the mentions of “his member,” but I’m loving that Nick Offerman is one of the narrators.
Really hope The Lotus Empire is everything you are hoping it will be! And Perphaps the Stars is gonna happen, I believe in you hahah. Also really curious about the new Mark Oshiro, you got me to read Each of Us a Desert and I loved that!! November is gonna be a big Sanderson month for me (SA 2, 3 & 4 + novellas re-read, and maybe also Tress & Sunlit), and we will see what else I get up to lol. Hope you get some relief on your back pains, sending hugs 🥰🥰
I hope the physical therapy goes well! I’ve done some yoga videos and I hear them mentioning stretching the hamstrings helps the lower back. Not sure how it connects but I guess it does? I’m realizing that I really like sci-fi but I definitely don’t read it enough. I like the plan of reading what brings you joy 🚀
Yea basically the tendon was inflamed and cause everything else to get angry and compensate and cause back pain. But yea muscle and tendons in that region are apparently all VERY interconnected
Well, I'm glad you went to the doctor and now know what to do for your sitting problems. Hopefully it gets better soon! I'm curious to see your thoughts on Perhaps the Stars, I've been interested in the series since I first saw you talk about it, and I hope the ending is good. I'm also curious about the books with the psychic cats, but you said "think cozy tv show" and I don't know if that'd work for me. But the psychic cats are interesting I don't know what I'll read this month yet. I gotta finish Carrion Comfort, which is progressing much slower than I wanted it to, but I don't know what to read after that. I'm torn between saying "fuck it" and extending my spooky season or sticking to my plans and going back to fantasy. If I do get back to fantasy, though, that probably means I'm reading Elantris and at least The Dragon Republic. OH, and I'm in a buddy read for The Death of Ivan Ilyich, so there's that as well
I think cozy more in familiar and a very predictable plot arc. So if those are turn offs I suspect it would probably just be a fine reading experience. But it is nice having latin tropey sci-fi out there. Best of luck with your reading month!
Hurrah for sci-fi November! Hope the physical therapy helps resolve your back issue (hammies and glutes if not working properly can cause all sorts of muscular issues up the chain). I’ve just finished reading several Terry Pratchett Discworld books, so will probably try to focus on some T Kingfisher this month - I have Nettle and Bone and A sorceress comes to call, sitting in a pile looking at me. Might intersperse those with rereading Komarr though. 🚀 🌎 🪐
It already has helped the back but the sitting issues that started it all is still evolving but I am hopeful it will only be improvement form here now that we are tackling the source. I am about to maybe get Komarr as my audiobook for the week, even though I do already have an audiobook on going lol....

I am actually pretty happy that its more tendon problem then back, hopeful that in a few weeks I will be much closer to normal

Same to you! I am almost on season 6 and so not ready for Hannah to be there lol

Same for you! It atleast makes the boring PT exercises easier having Bones for company
@ though it sometimes hurts to laugh haha
I really like your channel and you talking about the books! It's very cozy and I like that you frequently feature books i never heard about 👽🌌🚀☄️
Thanks for watching, comments like these always make me smile

How are you liking Lincoln in the Bardo? That one was a bit weird, even for my book club that typically goes for that sort of thing

sci-fi november let's goooooo
It has begun!

Hope you don't burn yourself out on Sanderson and have just the greatest time!
@@LiteratureScienceAlliance that is something I just refuse to accept will happen 🤣
🚀🪐🧑🔬
Hope your back will heal soon! 💖 And that you have a great reading month in November!☺
Me too!
I love Mark Oshiro! They write such beautiful books!
Truly! Each of us a desert blew me away
@LiteratureScienceAlliance have you read Anger is a Gift? That one was the first I read of theirs and made me want to read every book they write

@@LiteratureScienceAlliance It definitely is, 100% agreed. And I honestly have to do a better job at diversifying my TBRs
Thanks!
