Working on a future build, using a small Briggs motor, 2 hp what size pulleys should I use for a belt drive system, keeping in mind that I’m 6’2”, and weigh about 170 lbs, desired crazing speed is 23 mph, but still want a little power left just in case scenarios, 28” huffy frame with a springer triple tree front end. This is going to be a daily commuter year round here in N.J. My place of work is 2.5 miles away, and coffee stop is 3 miles in either direction. This kind of driving does not warrant the use of my mini van any info would be a great help!... belt tension drive, no clutch, with jack shaft to belt on rear wheel, with hub mount pulls! A drop and go system,
Is a Micargi Beach Cruiser the same as a Micargi Stealth men's bike? Is that a good choice for a motorized bike? I was hoping to see more videos about the use of a four stroke engine used in them. I was thinking about using a Honda GXH 50 engine, but I have not seen many videos on setting up such on a bike. Believe it or not, I also am interested in using a propane conversion, as well. Curiosity question, but how do you check your gas level on this bike since there is no fuel gauge?
You said back in 2014 that you might get into sourcing kits and offering them, but it appears you don't. I do like that you have vast experience with 4-strokes, as my first build is going to be that. I have searched many but reviews are not great for many I've seen - 3 stars on amazon is not encouraging. So I come to you for advice: Have you found a reputable 4-stroke kit you can recommend? I get what you say about big engines, but I'm going to use mine in the desert, not on city streets. And I need a bit more power than just horizontal cruising. Also, is a Huffy cruiser that bad that you would say absolutely not? I have very limited funds and can find good cruisers for $50. Can they be made stronger? I would email you but my email is 'broken'. Thanks.
Where I live(Ontario), a motorized bike under 50cc does not required a M license. Braking is another factor, I would not put a motor on a bike unless it has disc brakes.
as long as the frame isnt huffy or tbh micargi because they use hi-ten steel which really isnt to strong if you got a chromly steel frame your gucci i have an aluminum HBBC stretch cruiser with a 79cc on it and its not bad i acctully want to get a 212 engine for more getty up rather then speed but i will get a micargi seattle for that engine but my engine works fine ive had to do some modification to make it fit but it runs good and i have a wrapped exaust so it doesnt burn my leg and it bearly gets hot just saying only real problem is i dont like the exposed transmission and clutch id like it to have a cover or something but it seems fine
thanks for bringing up the cc limits....for most of new england it is 49cc or less. and like you say bikes [non custom] are not strong enough for a 79 cc much less a 212.
I get 35 mph out of my 4 stroke 56 tooth sprocket with 3 spend internal hub in 3rd gear. 1969 ccm bike. So with a 48 tooth sprocket what do you think top speed would be in third gear
mid fifties Columbia cruisers and early 50's Western Flyers, including the 40's models are all built like tanks, my 1961 western flyer is phenomenal, they fit old Briggs Flathead's perfectly
it's got a 1974 Briggs 3 horse with a 1960 head and exhaust with Tecumseh intake, the carbs are finicky at first but once they're dialed in, THEY SCREAM!
Hey there, awesome info on your vids. I was wondering if anyone has tried using a honda gx35 with a flying horse 5g transmission. From what I could find the outer circumference of the clutch shoes is the same as the huasheng 49cc, I'm not sure if the bolt hole pattern will match i assume it would. I live in Illinois and they have strict laws on these things so I was looking to build something a bit more conservative. Any info is appreciated.
The 79cc/80cc predator and 212cc predator engines have a governor inside the motor block . Red Beard Garage shows how to take off the governor so you can go faster . I have a Coleman ct200u it goes about 26 miles per hour . Its not street legal . It would be interesting to see a non governor predator engine mounted on a bicycle. I currently have a 49cc four stroke on my crankbrook huffy . I welded my engine mount its not really a major issue . Ive spent a good fortune on parts to meet with your qualities on whats a good build next month Ill my review video set up to share with youtube . Anything under 49cc is great for people that dont wish to have any legal hassle I agree however Ive been following your page for about a year I bought the 49cc fourstroke kit to be more quiet for my neighbors . If I had bought the 80cc kit or the 212 kit it would still be alot quieter than my Uber scoot 2x 49cc offroad moped . Ive rode in front Cops all the time on my coleman never had them try to stop me on my two stroke they start to care . It's like cops are prejudice to two stroke so the chances of a police officer noticing the kit is at all legal it would need to bother them first because they pick and choose whats bad . Trike builds are always complicated so im not surprised about the guy taking his apart. Your feedback was great about the sprocket . Finding that part at the beginning was like 70 bucks when you pointed it out now they're 34 bucks one year later. Ive noticed when these parts or kits are displayed to the public more we get reactions from those suppliers . Red beard garage started his channel just giving his input on how to fix the manufacturers errors now he's sponsored by coleman to do special reviews on their lastest product its amazing . Huffy make their frames a little better now I had my kit on two different year huffys same model crankbrook and the frames have a a difference in between of them . The old one doesnt say perfect fit frame verses the new one . I saw on Huffys youtube page they're supposedly low vibrations now , discovered that an hour after i welded my engine mounts on . On this other bike kit comparence channel the guy said four stroke goes 37 mph and the two stroke goes 33 to 35 mph . If this is true Im happy with 37mph , my uber scoot 49cc two stroke scooter goes 35 . Just wanted to put some input on your opinion . Look up those channels that play around with 212 motors . Go power sports Red beard Garage Rather Be Welding Cars and Cameras Break build & repeat . If we communicate our opinions more the retailers will know more on what to work on . these channels have done it and mastered it within their community Which is minibikes and go go carts The predator engines is what specialize in . I dont believe that we should turn our backs from 80cc and 212 predator kits because getting bikes registered isnt necessarily impossible. This allows the moped, scooter ,motorized bike community to expand and create work with jobs to fill . Another idea to share with youtube creating a 2x2 gas and electric motorized bike .Walmart sells a brushless front wheel hub motor that can easily go 35 mph . Elis workshop has a few tutorial videos on how to use the kit also educates viewers that you can get the kit to go 44mph, what batteries to use and so fourth . I may pursue that path after im bored with just with 49cc
I am a retired auto mechanic and disabled i have bought a 3 wheel bike now im deciding on type of engine , thire is 2 substantial hills around my house i have to navigate befor endless flat roads as i said im disabled so pediling thes hills are not an option i have tryed many times can u give advice on 2 or 4 stoke engine should i go with a transmission kit or centufusal clutch , sorry for mispell words hands and mind not as good as used to be
+CORRIGEEN71 Thank you very much! I don't build to sell anything. I only help people with ideas and source quality parts. Depending on what you're looking for though I can suggest some people I know who do build to sell. You can either email at sinistercustomcycles@gmail.com or Facebook.com/sccmn
+Ruslan Kostenko Hello. So the 49cc is the 4-strokes like what I have on my bikes. The 66cc and 80cc engines are the 2-strokes which are half the size of the 49cc 4-strokes. As far as power, I can't speak from experience since I've never had a 2-stroke engine before. 2-strokes stock from the kits from what I've heard are about the same as the 4-strokes but you can modify 2-strokes a lot to be more powerful than a 4-stroke.
+Ruslan Kostenko 2-Strokes are the Honda Civic of engines. It would be easier to tell you what you couldn't do for modifications to those engines. From what I hear the performance would be pretty close to what the 4-stroke would be on a stock 2-stroke.
THE 14TH AMENDMENT OF THE CONSTITUTION OF THE UNITED STATES gives you the RIGHT (not privilege) to use any PUBLIC roads without fear of being stopped.....no need for drivers license, tags, or insurance....and that's for your personal vehicle. I use the 14th everytime I get stopped...IT WORKS !!!
i wouldnt build my 79cc if the police around my way doesnt encourage me but they did.but yeah with engine so wide and big have to custom things like muffler etc.
I get 40mph on a stock triple 40 two-stroke motor with a 36 tooth & only one gear 👍 If you like going slow as ballz that use centrifical clutches & most likely Hillary supporters, go with a 4-stroke.
+robinj357 Thank you very much! I'll definitely be getting to the brakes later on in these builds. Thanks again for the message and the support! Happy holidays!
Get a bafang bbs02. I've had both gas and electric and I'd say that the higher price of electric is much more worth it than the pain in the ass with the gas motors.
+King of Castle Creations Thank you very much for the message! I'm definitely going to be pursuing electric options sometime after I finish these builds. I've heard a lot about the Bafang and also Bosch. What do you get for range and top speed on yours?

I'm having trouble getting my 2 stroke engine to run ,I think my bike pedal action isn't moving forward in order to start the engine?

@@billyholmes3 got 4 stroke
The 79cc is pretty good I had mine reving to 6500 going 42mph max with just valve springs thing was nuts. And very unsafe
do u know anything about zeda bt80 motor?

excellent video ,do you ship to europe?
