Hi girl, thank you for showing us lovely Shanghai. Your editing is amazing. I am half Swedish and half Chinese, and I have visited Shanghai once. It was a once-in-a-lifetime experience that I will remember forever. It is so nice that you can walk around the town and check out local shops and parks. I am living in San Francisco. Many local stores here have closed recently. Other than several parks, there are few places I can stroll around over the weekend. Envy your life in Shanghai for sure. Good luck with the new school.

I am proud of you because i thought you are a typical American teen that like to party,no respect for anybody typical American teen. You made my day open your mind. Your parents taught you well. Coming from small town myself didn't knows to much about the world except what propaganda in western media show until I joined the military over 20yrs yrs ago. I had traveled all over the world including China. I reside overseas with my family and it's great. Safety,security, Healthcare, life itself.

@@kikithedisneyfan5607 hmmm i’m not sure about chinese public school because i go to a international school but i have a friend who’s from belgium and yemen and they went to chinese public school. they’re parents work and live in china too, so that’s probably why they can go to public school here

Highly recommend the cityride along HuangPu River at the Pudong side.u can start with the Pudong Art Museum or anywhere in LuJiaZui, then ride along the cycling trail near the river.Trust me, it’s worth it

The mix of ancient Chinese, modern, and European colonial architecture is what makes Shanghai unique. There's really nowhere like it.

Population-wise, there are almost 27 million people living in Shanghai alone, making it more populated than the top ~20 most populated cities in the US combined at the very least. For comparison (based on research), Shanghai's total land area is almost 2,450 square miles compared to say New York City's total size of 302.6 Square Miles so there is a lot more area to work around in so people are spread out more in Shanghai.

Waiting for your vlog in Pudong District, Shanghai🤣，such as Disneyland,The China Pavilion, Oriental Pearl Tower, Shanghai Tower, Jinmao Tower, Shanghai Wild Animal Park, Shanghai Ocean Aquarium, Shanghai Haichang Ocean Park, Nanhuizui Sea View Park ,Dishui Lake (I recommend you to view it on the map ,you will be surprised that it is a perfect circle!)
Your angle of views is unlike any Shanghai vlogs I’ve seen. Like ur unconventional perspective and jumpy cuts, especially the music and beats are fabulous and addictive. The scene towards the end of this episode at the cross roads near the JingAn Temple. It brought back memories. I was standing at the same spot as a terrified first-grader at the hight of the Cultural Revolution with a big crowd when red guards trying to storm the temple!! Jarring memories. Haven’t been back to my beloved city since the pandemic, your video reassured me my beloved city is still chill, sort of anyway… Keep up the good work will be watching!

i love seeing people appreciating other cultures without the influence of the media. China is beautiful and people are friendly, its not the people but the government that people should be against.

Do you know that more than 90% of the Chinese people support their government according to a top American University survey? 😂
And why should people be against any country's government? Sure, you don't have to agree with the government or any government in the world for that matter nor do you have to like it. The fact of the matter is, just as there are upsides there are also going to be downsides to EVERY government in the world the US government included but it's all about being a patriot to your country and being proud/loving your country through both the ups and downs.
Does this mean that any world government is better than any other?
Not necessarily. They're just different and whatever works for them, works for them. Just exactly like the United States' democracy, It works for them, but is it perfect? Nope, but it works best for them.

4:50 Most american (and europeans) feel china is much better than they expected, after they have traveled to china. This shows how these people are "brainwashed" by propaganda (no offense). The mainstream media either only report the negative part of china, or use a negative point of view to report the positive part. I'd suggest westerners, if you don't want to be heavily impacted by biased media, you should 1) read news from various sources, e.g., singapore media, or Qatar media, they are relatively big and have english version; 2) watch vlogs online, YT or tiktok, see real footage, instead of footage that been tailored by media; 3) travel by yourself if possible, to see this world by your own eyes.

West bund, north bund and the Bund are not the same area, they are very very far apart. But take your bike and ride along the river from one to another on a beautiful day. Any section along this route is impressive with breathtaking views and and sights are never the same.
